As someone retired i dont need a coffee maker that has coffee ready when i wake up so if you are retired and have no where to rush off to, its ideal.    I really like this coffee maker. It makes a great cup of coffee. However, I did find that the grounds basket can overflow if I don’t carefully measure the grounds. Also, the contents can overflow to the counter and the pot. Other than that, it’s a great coffee maker.

   So, some disappointed. I give this Mr. Coffee three stars. Anyway, one star for small footprint on my very small kitchen countertop. Second star is for the shortness of the power cord as that works well in tight, limited space. Third star is it’s simple – just one switch to flip to on. Brewing coffee – well, um – not great. Biggest complaint is brewed coffee not hot! Had to microwave (hate using microwave) to get cup of brewed coffee to acceptable temp. Poured one cup, which I had to heat by microwaving and let remainder of brewed pot sit on heater element for at least 15 minutes. No luck with that as second and final cup not hot enough either. Update: So yes, changing my review from 3 stars to 5 stars. Didn’t like this coffee maker much when first received. Actually thought I’d donate it. But, had no functional coffee maker so as daily morning coffee drinker HAD to use, haha. After few days of using realized my biggest gripe: I was perfectly happy with my old coffee maker of 4 years and annoyed it died. Subconsciously, in my annoyance, looked for the differences between old coffee maker and this mr. coffee replacement. Judged harshly. Here’s the deal. Been using this mr. coffee for more than a month. Everything I complained of now evaporated from my thoughts. I’ve completely accepted the loss of my old machine, learned to appreciate and enjoy this new machine – and viola; all ends exceedingly well.

   Saving about $10 on two seemed to be a a good bet. One came almost as if new with the booklet, plastic around it and clean. It looked to be unused. It works great. Other one came with no internal packing and dried coffee grounds fell off the coffee maker when I removed the coffee maker from the box. Grimy around the heating element per image. Also; piece of plastic in box. As image shows . . . it was part of the water tank. This one is useless. The coffeemakers.us.com quality control was; to be polite,” less than average” this time around. Anything that is food or beverage related I will most likely buy new in the future. Returning defective one.

   I am a k-cup user but the price has skyrocketed to over $1 per k-cup with this crazy inflation, so i switched back to traditional brewing. I bought this unit specifically because it has a 2-hour auto-shutoff feature listed in the coffeemakers.us.com description. NOPE! It is manual shutoff just like the much larger (and older one) I already have. Nice little coffee maker to be sure. Easy to use, compact, price is right and the feature that allows you to pour a cup before the whole pot is brewed is great too. I have used these at Air bnb’s before. But the no auto-shutoff feature is a real bummer. May send back.

   For a long time I’ve searched for Mr. Coffee’s 4 cup coffee maker but all I’ve found here and on eBay is one that’s not used. That one is at a ridiculous price when you add in a highway-robbery price for delivery. What would show up in my searches on coffeemakers.us.com was this 5 cup version. I had resisted buying it for about a year, but finally ordered it a few nights ago — then promptly cancelled the order because some reviews made me think I wouldn’t like it. Fast-forward to last night shortly before midnight. I decided to give this maker a chance to prove it was worth buying, so I hit the buy button. It was here, waiting for me when I woke up today. I love it. The design differences between this model and the 4 cup one were things I thought I would hate, but I don’t. Really, I have only one quibble. The filters don’t fit nicely in the filter holder, but that doesn’t affect how they perform. Over time I may be disappointed if the pot’s lid gets coffee stains on it. Cleaning this 5 cup model is easier than the 4 cup one is. That’s because my hand fits more easily in the pot for drying it, thanks to the bigger size. I also like the finish on this model. It’s mostly a matte white which will go with the matte white toaster oven I’ll be receiving tomorrow. I also like the on/off switch that is on both models. I use an Echo smart plug that I can turn on via my voice as soon as I wake up: “Alexa, turn on coffee.” The switch is always in the on position but the plug is off until I tell Alexa to turn on the coffee. When the maker is on, I appreciate the fact there is not automatic shut off after a certain length of time, like there is with other coffee makers. When having two mugs of coffee, I often don’t get around to drinking the second mug till an hour or more later. I want it to be hot when I’m ready for it. Reheating coffee in the microwave is not the same as having the pot on the heat. There’s a scientific reason for this. Now about the coffee: it tastes great with both models. I think it takes the 5 cup model longer to make the coffee but it’s really not an issue. I will never brew 5 cups. Most often, I will use the 2-cup setting with 3 scoops of coffee. I like it strong. Someone needs to let Mr. Coffee know they are lousy at measuring cup sizes. My mug (which looks bigger in the photo than it actually is) holds 11 ounces. The 2 cup setting delivers a little less than 11 ounces. I think Mr. Coffee uses the usual cup size other coffee makers do: just 6 ounces per cup (not the expected 8 ounces for those of us who use a regular measuring cup for our cooking needs). But the 2 cup setting gives me less than 12 ounces. It’s closer to 10.5 ounces. I doubt I’ll ever use more than the 4 cup setting which will give me two mugs of coffee. The pot is easier to pour from versus the 4 cup version. Getting the last little bit out of the 4 cup version is difficult, but super easy with the 5 cup version. It’s obvious I love this 5 cup model. I hope Mr. Coffee won’t stop making it in the future like they did with the 4 cup version. When I need a new coffee maker, I want this model to be here, ready and waiting for me to hit the buy button again. UPDATE: After using the coffee maker for a while I noticed the lid on the pot has a faint stain that I can’t wash off. I expect it to get worse over time so I ordered the black version so I could use the black pot in my white coffee maker (see photo). I know it’ll get stained too, but I won’t be able to see it. Totally worth it. I’m adding two photos to show how it looks if you want to avoid the coffee stains. You can just use the black pot or you can adapt the white pot to accomplish the same thing. Just remove the just the white lid and snap the black lid into the white pot. Photos show what I mean, I hope. This white pot/black lid is what I’m happiest with.

It was between this one and another one and I’m so glad I chose the Mr Coffee, the spout doesn’t drip at all, easy to fill water tank, Cooks coffee fast and hot.    The latest update of my 5 star review I wrote 2 months ago is unfortunately down to 0 if I could give a zero star because the coffee maker just stopped working on the day when the so called return window closed! So basically the machine lasted for 2 months. On top of that a customer service agent on coffeemakers.us.com lied to me that I will receive a refund in 24 hours but I got no email stating that the refund was made so I wasted my time and money with the machine and the customer service agent. Avoid this seller!

   It is super simple, easy to operate reusable filter coffee maker that turned to be my best purchase! It makes up to 4 cups of coffee for less than 2 minutes and you just wash the filter under a rinsing water and ready you are for your next tasty cup of coffee! The only disadvantage is that the seller doesn’t say you need to buy the reusable filter separately which was a bad aurptice for me expecting the filter to be included in my coffee maker purchase. This caused me to have my coffee maker unusable for 3 weeks at home while I was waiting for the filter to come by another seller. Once you have them joined, you can enjoy your coffee time.

    I really like this little coffeemaker. I’m the only person in the house that drinks coffee, so it’s perfect for me. When inserting the coffee filter, I’ve found that especially when you get near the end of a pack of filters it gets difficult to insert the filter without it wrinkling and risking folding over during operation, causing grounds to enter the pot. Here’s what I found: I use an empty can (the size most vegetables come in, not a condensed soup can). Simply put the filter on top of the filter holder and press it down with the can. Works perfectly, even with the last few filters in the stack.

    I have many coffee makers but I always fall back to the regular non-fancy coffee maker during the work week. After having my black and decker version and size of this coffee maker for 3 years of heavy use…the button fell off. I bought this coffee maker as a replacement and it’s exactly as listed. This coffee maker is made out of good material, the coffee arm that’s seen when opening the coffee maker is in standard pour over placement to actually give a stronger more rich final product compared to the black and decker. Pot size is 25oz which is plenty for most. Coffee comes out nice and hot. No fancy timers or clocks, a simple led lit power switch, add water and coffee and your good.. With good care this should last over 8 years. This so works with wifi smart switches that can make this somewhat automated with smartphone software and daily scheduling, the coffee maker isn’t smart but would turn on and off via phone with a smart plug (sometimes that’s not the case).

We loved it bec it was just the right size for our kitchen area and we use it when we want to brew 2 big cups of coffee instead of the single cup keurig we have. But now the switch stopped working.     Its terrific and if you are careful and rinse the grounds out of the filter paper one can last 4 days, its got a hole for the coffee to drip through on the side of the filter holder which is weird.
    When loaded I turn in on for 10 seconds then turn off the machine for 3/4 minutes to make the coffee swell otherwise the water comes out too fast rather than a slow drip.
    Its makes good coffee.

    Well Packaged, Looks Clean, Easy to Setup, Smart Design, Simple to Use, Quick & Tasty Coffee.
    Got the white version for more visibility when cleaning. Love the 5cup compact size. Make sure to get the right Coffee Filter for this (2-5cup small). Do not buy the regular 10-12 cup filters. Also go easy when cleaning the pot as the glass is thin & the handle is not the sturdiest. I saw quite a few reviews from lefties complaining about the design of the lid because it opens from the right side instead of the traditional lid which opens upwards. I’m personally ambidextrous so I can definitely understand when I tried to use left hand to open the lid, pour the water, putting the filter and scooping the coffee in the filter. It’s a bit inconvenient but for right handers, it’s a clever design and simple to use. This little coffee maker is on the expensive side so it’s understandable for people nitpicking it. All in all, I would definitely recommend it especially when it’s on sale for around $50 Canadian Dollars.

    This product is great, I have one, my mom was here visiting and she decided she like it too and wanted one for Christmas. What I don’t like is the fact that you can leave seller reviews for 3rd party sellers on coffeemakers.us.com, but cannot review coffeemakers.us.com when fulfilled by coffeemakers.us.com. The unit I got was clearly sold and returned as the labels had been ripped from the box making it look very used. The unit itself didn’t appear to be used. Come on coffeemakers.us.com…this time of year you know it’s a gift. Arrange with Mr..Coffee distribution to have some spare boxes. Not worth the hassle to return, but will have mom test it asap to make sure it does work after she opens.

    For over 20 years, I’ve always been a fan of Mr.Coffee pots, it’s the only brand I buy in the 4-5 cup size…. these have gotten harder to find, not many stores in my area carry this brand anymore, maybe blame current supply chain issues, but im happy to have found one on coffeemakers.us.com. This is my 5th small pot I’ve had to buy, 12 cup pots seen to not last long when brewing half a pot, so I keep buying these small ones.. I’ve had good luck with Mr.Coffee lasting long time. I was happy to find MR.Coffee still uses the old regular paper basket filters. Coffee brews fast and hot, tastes great and easy to clean up. The only gripe I have on this newest one, is this new design, this larger than my old Mr.Coffee 5 cups have been in the past, so This coffee pot takes up more counter space and the top lid hinges to the left side and it is large one piece lid. All my older ones have had a pivot where the filter basket swings out to the front so you can put the filter and coffee in and easily remove for cleaning. At the back There was a small top lid that opened at the rear so you can add water to the reservoir. I had to rearrange a little to accommodate this design change, still adjusting to this change which I see a possible flaw that I will eventually break the piece that now has to pivot back and forth when you add or remove the filter. Still happy to have a Mr.Coffee but for myself, I will be looking for the older design style if I can find one.

    Good quality and build, clean tasting coffee, but two points I have to mention. First, wish there was a power auto off after the brew is complete and also the water arm that swings over the basket tends to catch the paper filters and fold them over so the water doesn’t flow properly so I advise moving the arm over yourself and then closing lid.     Great little coffee maker. I’m single with limited space and it’s consistently been a great little workhorse for a very fair price. Tried French press’s for a while, but for so much work I could never manage to even make a decent cup of coffee. This always makes me a decent cup of java, quickly, with minimal effort-and the coffee is ready in mere minutes to consume which matters when rushing to get ready to work. I also always use good beans but, as good a cook as I am, I’m not a barista. It’s lightweight, compact, and the durability of this brand- consistent. When I fill it to the brim there is minor spillage so I do pour that first cup over the sink to avoid it. if I make one cup, no problem. Simple choice-black. Black is the color of coffee- less harmless spots to wipe off the white model.

    Contrary to the product listing (screenshot from coffeemakers.us.com app attached), this coffee maker is NOT auto-shut off, 2-hour or otherwise. Mine’s on my counter right now, still on after 4 hours. I got this for my RV and I’m a forgetful person, so auto-shut off is an important feature that I specifically searched for in a coffee maker. Returns are super inconvenient for me, so I am very frustrated with this blatant false advertising.

    Power switch bad location wrong type. You really have to watch handling it the switch turns on very easily and is very quiet . A lot of times I don’t think that the unit is on while I pour water into it. Then you can hear the noise from the steam even when there’s hardly any water in it it’s very hot. Then you have to wait for it to cool down a little bit before it starts spitting at you to pour more water in it. Otherwise it makes a good cup of coffee.

    First, I tired to use THEIR contact site but there’s NO PLACE to write anything in. Apparently you submit your info and they call you? I had a Mr Coffee for YEARS. It was my moms and worked perfect. However the warmer was rusting, so I bought a new one and donated the old one to the Salvation Army. BIG MISTAKE I thought, at first, the new one was ok but noticed a few things: FIrst, the plastic grounds cup was redesigned with LESS PLASTIC… it’s just slightly smaller. So, guess what happens and happens ALL THE TIME. The standard paper filter FOLDS INTO ITSELF about every third time and you get a POT O GROUNDS. Great! Next… they’ve used a CHEAPER spring valve system so EACH TIME I remove the pot, you get COFFEE dripping on the warmer! Wonderful! Finally – they also redesigned how the hot water is dripped into the grounds. Now it’s swivel bracket instead of being BUILT IN to the lid. CHEAPER TO MAKE. I wasn’t going to write this review initially but since the Mr. Coffee contact system won’t actually let you CONTACT them with a message, I decided to go ahead and write a scathing review of this USELESS ANNOYING and HORRIBLE DESIGNED product. So, again about every third pot, I get a folded over wet filter where the grounds have spilled out to the lower part of the plastic cup, to the coffee pot itself, and into MY COFFEE CUP. I’ve included two photos. One shows the filter collapsed into itself where the grounds now freely flow OUT of the filter and IN my coffee. As STRAIGHT AS I CAN MAKE, it still folds IN frequently because of the NEW DESIGN OF THIS CUP. Since they wanted to save a few cents in plastic, it’s smaller and the walls are steeper which allows the paper to fold into itself. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. LOOK FOR A QUALITY PRODUCT. IT’S A SHAME THEY’VE DONE THIS BUT IT’S ALL ABOUT SAVING A FEW PENNIES TO PAD THE POCKETS OF THE CORPORATION.

    I wouldn’t have replaced my old Mr. Coffee maker except the glass chipped on the pouring spout so I ordered a new one in black. The design on the new one is not as good as the original so I don’t understand why the design was changed because it wasn’t any improvement at all. On the old one the drip part lifted up automatically when I opened the lid to add coffee & water & the water measurement area was twice as large & on both side of the maker which made good sense. With the new one the paper filter gets in the way when the drip part is moved over & the water level is much smaller so it’s hard to see it so it’s a shame the design isn’t a good as it used to be but it gets the job done just not as well made.

    I’ve had one of this little guys for about a year and it gets the job done, period. Mr. Coffee maker 5 cups is an excellent choice if you don’t have a large countertop. Great, for one or two persons. I bought this one for my uncle single uncle and he’s very happy with it. It’s a very simple coffee maker. It has two buttons, one to brew your coffee Now, and another one to brew your coffee Later. The third button is the timer, you set your timer and hit the brew button and your coffee will be ready whenever you want, simple as that. Recommended 100%.

    I used to have another Mr. Coffee maker that lasted 20 years. This unit is designed a little different you need to make sure the arm will not move the filter. The basket is a little on the small size for the filters. It also fits one way. I like that I can open the lid while the unit is brewing and add more water if I want more coffee.

    I love this unit. Please read: One measuring cup of water = 8 oz vs Mr Coffee 1 cup = 5 oz. Filling 5 cups of water in Mr Coffee 5 oz/ cup = 25 oz MAX. Filling 5 oz from measuring cup = 5 X 8 oz / cup = 40 oz. Difference = 40 – 25 = 15 oz. Overfilling will cause this unit to overflow, with water coming out of the bottom. Filling 25 OZ ~ 3 Measuring cups 8 X 3 – will NOT overfill the unit : you won’t see water leaking from the bottom. Needs to be highlighted so buyers can better know and understand this.

    I’ve been using this coffee maker for over a year now, ever since I got it on sale. It makes a decent cup of coffee, especially considering the price. This is actually my second one I had bought one when I was living in an Airbnb and then I thought I would never needed it again so I sold it, boy was I wrong. This thing is used multiple times a day, and it has been cleaned once in the last year. It’s simply use it easy to add water to and it just makes a good cup of coffee perfect for the office.

    After filling up the reservoir one day, the water level didn’t look right. So I added a little more, direct from my water pitcher! Turns out the machine was leaking. Giant mess! Only lasted 8 months, and I did a full clean 6 months into it. Mr. Coffee machines usually last me about 2 years. Might be the redesign from 4 cup to 5 cup? Otherwise, a fluke maybe? I’ve ordered another, so we shall see. Edit: New machine, new model redesign. I don’t know if there are any other changes but the carafe has been changed. The first unit I had looked like the one from this listing’s pictures. (Which is obviously now flawed and a poor listing.) It shows a carafe that has an open handle and measurement markings on both sides of the glass, either side of the handle. This latest unit I received has a closed handle and markings only on ones side, which happens not to be the side I use when filling. Not convenient. Doesn’t even match the box!
