   I love Bialetti this is our second one in 15 years. For the life of me I cannot figure how to read the display. Light, dark, up high, down low, I just can’t figure it out. I have no idea what time the clock says, which means I can’t program the brew time. What the hell???????

   After a buying and returning spree while searching for a decent coffee pot, a friend recommended Bialetti. I took her advice and have had this one for a month now. True, hers was an original one from Italy, which I had hoped to find – but I am very happy with this coffee maker. I use bottled alkaline water and one (1) teaspoon per cup of a quality ‘Costa Rican Dark Roast Coffee’ I buy a from a local cafe. Since I drink my coffee black and no sugar, the coffee flavor is important to me. This is great! Surprising to me, I like the preset strength of coffee. If I need a stronger cup of coffee, I have the Bialetti Moka Express* I bought first. I find this nicely styled coffee maker to be easy to clean. I followed all the commonsense instructions. Who doesn’t prewash cooking utensils before using them? Of course, a paper filter is easier to toss, but I now empty the used grinds in my garden. So, it is a win-win. I have been thinking of buying and storing a second pot in case this one breaks for some reason in the future.    I have to use more grounds in this, it makes a someone weak cup of coffee but the flavor is good. It’s very lightweight so I always have to use two hands when pushing the buttons. The cord is fairly short, limiting placement. It brews very slow, and there is a lot of water build-up under the lid of where the grounds go. I just leave the lid up when I’m done with the coffee for the day and it dries quickly.

   I am a coffee maker snob and always hope that one’s I like and pay a lot for for will last forever. When I do have to replace one, I’ve gone either way with my investment. Cheap always has its flaws but surprisingly expensive ones have cool features but I just want a sturdy machine that does exactly what I need to do. After sending 3 back, this one is a keeper. Looks nice. Easy to fill up makes a nice cup of coffee with easy visibility on all the full lines.

   What a POS. This is the second unit that has proven to be poorly constructed. Actually makes a decent cup of coffee but the quality of workmanship is horrendous. There wasn’t a quality category here so this is the review you get.

   I have never written a review before, but this product is so bad I had to. Let me first say, that when it works, its great. The coffee tastes good, and its easy to operate. Why the one star- it doesn’t always work. You will brew the coffee, all the water will be gone and there is no coffee. This is my THIRD attempt at coffee this am. I started at 6.45 am, (the first pic is 6.49 you can see the clock), the video is the middle and this last pic at 7.14 is the “finished” product. I’m off to try a fourth time this am, you also waste a lot of money on coffee because you can only use the same coffee so many times. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
