I bought this French press about three years ago. It’s my favorite kitchen appliance. It’s built extremely well, the double wall stainless steel construction is the best I have found, and most importantly it keeps coffee piping hot. After using it daily for three years there have been zero issues with the scale or timer. I did just recently replace the two AAA batteries. I bought a cheaper stainless steel double wall French press from another company a couple of years ago. While it works fine, the stainless steel on the double wall is noticeably thinner and it does not keep the coffee hot nearly as long. Is the KitchenAid French press worth 2 to 2 1/2 times cheaper knock offs? In my opinion yes! I want my 2nd cup of coffee to be as hot as the first. This KitchenAid delivers.

Just love this coffee pot, it looks great, is easy to make the coffee.

honestly, I found the scale and electronic component to be unnecessary and very, very fragile.
the actual steel press is excellent and works very well. It is very expensive to get a steel press at this price, but that’s what I am using it for.

I received it on June 8. The digital screen broke July 11-just past the coffeemakers.us.com return cut-off. Kitchen-Aid offers no warranty as this product is from 2016 and was discontinued in 2019. That was not disclosed in the listing. Not happy!( KA will give me a credit for a cold brew pot.)

This is the best French press period. it operates very smoothly and sealing is perfect with double o-rigns and vaccum seal. the timer should have been a count down timer with a beeper but that’s ok. high quality stainless steel and accurate electronic scale.
perfect gift for coffee lovers

Pérdida de dinero. Compre y una primera y la semana se descompuso. La cambiaron y la segunda duró un mes más que la otra pero ahora ya no sirve. Producto caro y de baja calidad.

Really nice but heavy to handle, I am a strong man and I can feel it is heavy specially when it is full, and cleaning it is not easy, I am not talking about the electronic handle or the battery base, I am talking about the press shaft and the pressers itself , it has so many edges and corners you have to use a tooth brush to remove the coffee grains, and let us face it to open the shaft and clean it dismantled is not a practical solution. Not a deal breaker for me but something to conceder if you are not welling to do all of this.

So I suppose I’m going through a midlife crisis and despite having never had any interest in coffee whatsoever, I decided to do so in order to help kick a nasty energy drink habit. I knew I wanted a French press – maybe it’s a Dexter thing. Maybe I just wanted to be different. My parents – lifetime coffee drinkers – are much more mainstream. Growing up it was a programmable automatic drip coffee maker and more recently a Keurig machine for the ultimate in convenience. Despite my incredibly busy lifestyle and a propensity towards tardiness
***Wow. I just read this having written it over five and a half years ago. Apparently it didn’t copy? Or I didn’t finish, because I never start an intro like that just to leave everyone on the edge of their seat. I decided I’d overspent on my first run at making coffee. Nearly $500 on kitchenaid grinder, press, and kettle. And after doing some research and finding a helpful association called the Specialty Coffee Association, I decided that for that much money a VERY difficult to clean java press just wasn’t worth the money. coffeemakers.us.com.com was amazing and gave me a full refund despite being well past the 30 day return window. I only circled back now because I’m looking for the next piece of coffee kitchenware!

This is working fine. Makes good coffee, but when it had around a month it ran out of battery, I thought it got damage, but fortunately it was just the battery. I like the product but I think it is a bit overprice that’s why I am not giving the 5 starts.

Makes a good cup of coffee, the scale is sensitive and took a minute to figure out but solid overall, replaced previous glass french press and was worth the switch
