   This seems to be a pretty good coffee maker. I like that I can do both kcups and brew a pot full. It also was much cheaper that any of the Keurig brand. It is a little cumbersome but not bad. The only issue that I have is that iot seems to be pretty slow when brewing a full pot.

   I ordered this product to give some options to my family over a standard Keurig coffee maker. This is a good value unit. You can brew a full carafe of coffee or a single cup using the Keurig adapter. After a couple months of daily usage, I am sold on this. We like to brew carafes when we get good beans or grounds for gatherings. Prior to getting this coffee maker, we had to brew one cup for everyone. It was costly and time consuming. It took a while to get the “recipes” the way we like them, but we are getting consistent results now. We used to have a toggle on the old Keurig machine to control the strength of a single cup, but this unit does not have it. You have to adjust the size of your cup up or down to make it weaker or stronger. The coffee maker comes with an adapter for a single Keurig cup and a basket for the carafe. My only beef is with cleaning the carafe filter. The mesh is only around the outside of the basket and the bottom is plastic. This means that you have to rinse a little longer when you clean grounds out. Other than that, controls are intuitive, and it is generally easy to use.

   Our current coffee maker needed to be filled every time with a separate reservoir for the carafe and cup, making it a bigger machine and a pain especially since we mostly do single cups. This machine shares the reservoir so you can get many single cups before refilling and you just keep the carafe in a cabinet out of the way making a much smaller machine. Nice

   The single coffee maker is very weak and it’s cold water. Not even hot at all. I normally just have 1 cup of coffee but when I have company at my house I I like to do a whole pot. So I now have to make a whole pot of coffee because the single cup doesn’t get the coffee hot let along strong coffee.

   It’s a pretty high price tag for a coffee maker that is only on or off. You can change cup/craffe size, but that is all. You cannot set it to brew at a specific time-as a matter of fact there is not even a clock.
   As someone who absolutely needs a programmable coffee pot for work mornings (need to be out the door by 4 am) to pay almost $100 for a basic setup when an off brand would have cost nearly a quarter of the price, I’m beyond disappointed.

   I’m so I’m love with this coffee maker! Sometimes I like to make a whole pot of coffee so that I can use it for cold coffee and my husband is usually the only one that makes hot coffee. We did have 2 different pots set up for single and 12cup and now just use this one. It’s perfect for us, easily load the water in back and have it ready to go. Can easily switch the single serve basket for the larger basket and flip up the platform for the carafe. Can make 8, 10, 12 oz single or 6, 10, 14 cups.

   This is not my first Black and Decker coffee maker; the last one I had lasted many years and did a fine job. This dual brew model is well built and well designed. The controls are intuitive, the K-cup works, or use the K-cup sized basket, or the larger filter option. The water heated quickly, and the coffee came out perfectly. The filter assembly was easy to pull out and clean. No complaints!
