   Easy to clean..pain in the butt to dispense. Hate the grounds holder. It lets a lot of bits and dust to go through unlike others we have used. The picture of inside the pitcher is with us being very careful to not get the grounds inside the pitcher itself (filling the grounds holder out of the pitcher, filling carefully and slowly to not overflow the grounds into the water) and actually filling the pitcher with water is so tedious and slow. I hate it.. my poor husband has been silently dealing with this for too long..and now I can’t return the dang thing.

   I liked the size but that is about it. The glass is extremely thin. I had it in the fridge and it broke without even dropping it. Not even sure what broke it. Also, the lid did not seem to have a strong seal so coffee could splash out. My third issue is that as hard as I tried to have coarse grinds, it seemed a lot of grinds would pass through the filter into the coffee. Tgis last issue cold be user error though. I had to purchase another type of cold brew pitcher just 1 1/2 months after buying this one. I Do NOT recommend this product. Glass is super fragile and I wish I had returned it immediately.

   Barely bumped something else in the fridge, and a big hole busted out of the bottom of my full pitcher of coffee. What a mess to clean up. The glass is way too thin. Other than that I liked this product for the week or so that I used it.

   The filter on this was horrible. My drink was “fuzzy” because the coffee seeped through the filter (even with coarse ground coffee like recommended). I also would have expected real glass for $30, not cheap plastic. I included two pictures so you can see all the coffee floating in my drink. I also already purchased a replacement cold brew coffee maker and the filters are completely different. You can see how this one (the bottom in the photo) could let coffee grounds to seep through.

    Used to make cold brew, grounds would still get through the filter so it still needed to go through additional filtration before consumption. Hand washed and dried, but cracked after 2 months of use.

    I like the capacity of this pitcher, and the stainless steel construction of the grounds/leaves basket is better than some other products I’ve purchased.
    The one weak link is the wire handle that allows you to remove the grounds/leaves basket. It broke inside of a week of owning it.
    The product is still usable without the wire handle, but it’s annoying that the wire handle is so weak and poorly made.

    Easy to break very thin glass. When sat in the sink (softly) after one use the rim broke. So we contacted them for the warranty and they sent us a new one. Good thing we didn’t throw the old one out cause they only sent us the glass and when we tried putting the old infuser into the glass we noticed that it didn’t fit. Pictures are showing the new one that they sent us and how it does not fit. It worked well the one time we used it. But we will be buying a different brand. Hopefully it last longer.

    I’ve had about 4 different iced coffee makers over the last two years and this one has been the best one so far. It takes at least 1 day of waiting after you add in the ground coffee and put it in the fridge. 2 days is preferred to get a more even blend.

    Easy to clean and maintain, especially compared to the other options. My one real issue if that the glass shattered after 1 year of use. I’ve found iced coffee makers to have a short shelf life, and no exception here. In hindsight, a cheap warranty plan would have been a good idea. Rather than buying the same device again, I will try out a 1 gallon iced coffee maker (twice as big) that’s in a similar price range as this item.

    I was surprised by the quality of this coffee maker. After my friend in our party dropped it from 2 feet height to kitchen floor carelessly, it stands perfectly without any crack. For a large jug, it does not take much space in the fridge, easy to use. I like its shape and easy way to clean.

    When this arrived I was a little disconcerted by how thin the glass felt. I actually was nervous lifting it by the handle when full of water as the glass felt so thin and fragile. My concern became a reality when today, after making only my third pitcher of coffee and of course 5 days after the return window closed, I opened my refrigerator door and saw that the pitcher spontaneously cracked and filled my door shelf with coffee. I’d like to note that I only live with one other person and we don’t have kids. No one ever slams our fridge door shut and we’ve been very careful not to knock stuff around the pitcher when it’s in the fridge. I’ve also never knocked the pitcher around when cleaning it or anything. I can only assume that going from room temperature to fridge temperature over a few hours cracked the glass. Extremely disappointed.

    First off the size is exactly what I wanted however, the filter is a danger zone. I don’t know if I got a defective one or if that is by design but as I was washing the filter the little flap inside of it cut my finger. Not good.

    It’s ok but not nearly as good as I expected so I’m returning it. After 48 it’s off brewing and 1.5 times the amount of coffee I usually use to brew hot coffee to make iced coffee is still very watery! Not very strong. You might have to use twice as much coffee and let it soak for a week to get good iced coffee. Also glass feels light and cheap. Instructions say use coarse coffee grounds but i used the regular Peet’s ground coffee and fine coffee grounds would go through. Not a big deal but it’s still annoying. Returned

    I’ve put it in the dishwasher no problem, and I can even use fine grind coffee with the strainer and it left almost no residue in the bottom. The glass is thick and sturdy and doesn’t retain the coffee flavours/oils or leave a taste like a plastic pitcher does.

    We own the 1.5 and 2 quart cold brew systems from BTäT. Purchased the 1.5 qt first and really like it. It replaced another that did not have a hopper for the grounds, and was horrible to clean. The BTäT design is so much better! After owning it for a year, we needed a larger version, so purchased the 2 quart. We actually like this better, as the bottom-heavy design makes this a bit more stable. It has the same type of hopper, works in the same manner.

    One of the things that works really well for us is the hopper for the grounds. We are on a septic system, and keeping debris out of the drain is extremely important. The hopper is instrumental in that.

    We have grown spoiled with cold-brew coffee. It’s smoother, and tastes so much better than any from the coffee stands and much better than the green mermaid’s. While a lot of folks use it for iced coffee, we make hot coffee daily with our cold brew, by mixing it with hot water around 50-50. It’s delicious.

    I should first confess to being a serious coffee nut. I have almost every coffee making device known to man right down to an Italian made commercial espresso machine and grinder plumbed in to my kitchen counted. So being in hot Arizona i started exploring cold brew coffee and fell in love with my new found addiction. I ordered the BTaT Cold Brew Coffee Maker and started my quest of cold brewing the perfect cup. The secret is in the grind but I’m still experimenting with different beans and roasts. The coffee maker itself is delicate but a fine crafted coffee making instrument. Comes with good instructions but expect a learning curve. Now the bad news…last night i heard my wife say “oh no” as she was doing the dishes. I know instantly what had happened. I was devastated. Yes, my coffee maker was no longer with us. I will miss her forever and never forget the joy she brought. Aahhh, the heck with it…it’s $25…I just ordered another one.
