   I had a Capresso for many years (2nd photo) which I was happy with so I bought another 12 cup. The new one is fine/ok but it’s not a true 12 cup. Why? I feel “tricked”. This new 12 cup Capresso Coffee maker is not a true 12 cup. Making it less or smaller (like everything else these days). I feel deceived and regret this purchase because you guys were dishonest about the cup size. It’s probably approx a 10 cup coffee maker. The whole machine and carafe is smaller…Shame on you!

   This coffee maker seemed to brew coffee at a higher temperature than what I’m used to. This made the coffee slightly more bitter depending on the type of coffee. The worst part about it was that the hot plate got super rusty in just a few months. Do yourself a favor, and get the cheaper models. This one isn’t worth the extra price.

   This is smaller than our previous one (a 12 Cup from another brand), and now I understand why. Its only 7 (REAL) cups! I measured in fluid ounces this morning. False advertising. The company blamed the retailer for false marketing, but its a joint effort. In what universe does anyone consider 5 ounces a cup. Its not even a full cup of a small coffee cup!? Maybe a small diner cup?! Shame on you.

   I didn’t realize how badly I needed a new coffee pot until I’d broken the carafe on my old one and bought this! Same coffee. Same water. DELICIOUSLY better cup. I like the gold mesh coffee filter, for the planet & my pocketbook. BUT it is tricky to empty/clean (4 ⭐️) because of the wet grounds. I haven’t tried a paper filter. My cup usually has a dark layer at the bottom (i use cream) but it’s eminently drinkable – not grounds! Love the “strength” button. I’ve used it both with and without, and both were good, but, especially since I like a little half & half, the strength button is my go-to, and it definitely makes a difference. Nice, compact, great coffee every time, 4 or 10 cups. Excellent buy!

   This is my second Capresso. The first was a 4 cup, and I loved it. The second is a twelve cup, and I really love this one too…except for one major problem that plagued both, almost from day one. You can see from the photos just how terrible the hot plate on the 12 cup looks. Yes, it is almost two years old. BUT, this began about two weeks into it’s use. I’ve had to sand it several times to keep the rust to a minimum, and of course the carafe scrapes every time you remove it or put it back, and the bottom is almost impossible to clean due to the rust rubbing off. And as I said, the first 4 cup did exactly the same thing, almost from its day 1. Love the maker, but this looks terrible sitting on the counter, and is very annoying to use.

    It works but for the price take 20 extra dollars and buy better.. this one is cheaply made the handle on the coffee pot has 2 holes behind the lid so when water get to the top it goes in the handle ans then comes out all over the place when you poor in the water.. i really dislike this coffee maker but for now it brews a pot of coffee i would and do not recommend this and will not buy this maker and probably nothing from this brand because of how cheaply made this is….

    Update.
    Made about 4 pots of coffee and now it wont even turn on ive had it less then 2 weeks…

    So far so good this was a replacement for a pot that was 7 or 8 years old. Can’t see spending a lot of money on a pot my husband is the only one who drinks coffee. Hopefully it will last as long

    I’ve used an older Capresso coffee maker for several years. It still operates fine but the printed labels have worn off and I cannot tell the water level from the outside. The new model’s carafe is visibly smaller. A pyrex measuring cup confirmed that it holds 7 cups of water compared to my older 12-cup model which actually only holds 8 cups of water. I’m returning the new model to keep the extra cup!!!

    My husband and I have used the 12 cup Capresso coffee maker for several weeks since our last coffee maker suddenly stopped working. The carafe on this coffee maker reads that it is 12-cups as our last was but does not serve nearly the same amount of coffee. It does make a good brew and is easy to program. However, I do wish it had a larger carafe. It is attractive in appearance. I think it is worth considering for those who do not mind missing approximately 4-6 ounces of coffee.
