   This replaced an older Cuisinart coffee maker that had more features, many of which I never used. I wanted something simpler to operate and less expensive and this was a good choice. It’s easy to use and makes a good pot of coffee. I’m not crazy about the hinged carafe lid that’s fixed in place. It makes cleaning the carafe rather awkward. The coffee maker is quite lightweight and could easily slide off the countertop when removing the carafe quickly. Holding it down with one hand can prevent that, but a potholder should be used since the top gets hot.

   Pros: – Keeps coffee warm long after brewing. I used to use a glass French press, and by the time I went to get a second cup of coffee, it would be cold. Now the coffee is still warm when I go for a third cup! – Sleek and attractive design. I hate coffee pots that make me think of ancient hotel coffee makers. This one is nothing like one of those! – Small and compact… Fits under low cabinets when not in use, and can be stored easily. The shape is very unawkward and does not waste space. – Lightweight. Easy to carry and move. – “Strong” setting for a more intense brew. Cons: – The carafe cannot empty completely… The plastic edge will always catch about half a teaspoon and keep it from being poured out. I find this very irritating. -Not ideal for low cabinets with limited counter space. While it fits under low cabinets, you have to pull it out from under your cabinet to fill it, as the top flips upward and if it is not open fully you cannot pour the water in. In the photo, you can see how it’s not possible to manage to pour in water in this situation. I should have thought of this before getting it… It’s no fun to have to awkwardly pull it off the counter to get it away from the cabinet and fill it! If this will be an issue for you, look for a different option.

   I love everything about this compact coffee maker by Hamilton Beach! It’s small and fits nicely below the cabinets on your countertop. The black and stainless steel color combination gives it a nice modern look that matches our other appliances perfectly. It takes standard size coffee filters and you pour the water through the back just as you would with a traditional coffee maker. The handle to the pot is easy to hold and it pours perfectly with no spillage. The coffee maker has a 2 hour automatic shut off to give you that peace of mind. When brewing/turned on, the button is lit up with red around it. You can also brew in 2 different strengths: regular or bold. We prefer bold, as the taste is stronger. It brews really quickly compared to other coffee makers we have used in the past. There is a delay brew option which is a great option to have as you just program the day before and wake up to that fresh cup of coffee in the morning with no wait! When you set the delay brew, the button lights up with green around it and this reminds you that it is set. The clock interface is bright blue and easy to read. I also love the fact that all of the buttons are on the front. All in all, this is a fantastic coffee maker that makes a delicious cup of coffee ☕️!! I would definitely recommend!

   The post office who delivered it . Put a hole in the box and hung it on the front of my mail box. My mail box is on a road. Anyone could have taken it. Plus bent the hook and door on the mail box. This is unacceptable. Coffee pot is working. No damage to it.

   This Hamilton Beach coffee machine is a 12-cup drip coffee maker. However, compared to a normal full size 12 cup maker, this coffee pot takes up minimal space. The machine itself is smaller and compact, with a full size water chamber on the back and uses standard filters for coffee grounds. With this, the maker comes with a few different settings that are nice quality of life settings. Featuring a timer for exact times to start brewing and a bold setting which makes your coffee brew stronger than a usual drip maker. It also features a cleaning reminder after 30 cycles to inform you to clean your maker to get the best tasting cup of coffee you can. All in all, as someone who isn’t too big of a fan of drip makers, this machine is worth it! It’s small, takes up less counter space, and allows me to create a pot of coffee before I wake up so I can have coffee first thing in the morning. I highly recommend it!

   It fits perfectly into my little coffee bar that I fashioned from an old ugly gun cabinet. It makes great coffee. My only complaint is that it doesn’t keep correct time. This is big for me because I like to wake up to coffee ready to enjoy. I don’t want to be bothered to return it so I’ll just have to deal with it. Otherwise I would recommend it 100%.

    I really disliked my previous brewing coffee maker because the delay timer was a total pain in the neck to set, and my husband was always accidentally setting it to make in the p.m., so I’d wake up to no coffee (which makes me not a nice person to be around). Or, he’d accidentally start it brewing instead of hitting the button twice to select the delay (okay, maybe I did that also a time or two😆). As soon as I saw this, I jumped on it, and I’m super happy I did. First and foremost, it is MUCH easier to set the delay (and turn it on and off) than the one I had; the display is easier to read, brighter, and it’s more intuitive. Also, I can select the strength of the brew (we choose the bold). Finally, it looks SO much nicer on my counter because it is significantly less tall, bulky and imposing than the previous one I had, but it still does everything the other one did (it just looks better doing it). Like most of these, it has an automatic shutoff (2 hrs), but I generally pour our coffee directly into a thermal carafe in the morning so that it stays warm until midday, so that’s not a big feature for us (still, safety first!). It makes a good cup of coffee, looks great doing it, and is much easier to use overall; I’m quite happy with this model.

    I like the appearance & advertised ease of use & cleaning, plus the brew strength feature. What I disliked was that it came damaged & unusable
    It leaked when filled with water & upon inspection we found the bottom plate was cracked letting the water leak out which was a hazard in itself but on top of that the carafe handle wasn’t put on tight & slipped off when we picked it up to get it off the maker to keep it from breaking when we tried the pot was leaking. That didn’t work. The carafe slipped off & dropped on the floor & broke. For safety’s same we just trashed it, my husband had thrown the box Away so there was no way to return it , waste of money on a name brand. No help from coffeemakers.us.com when I called. Not recommended

    I ordered this Hamilton Beach Coffee Maker to replace a broken one. My wife likes that this coffee maker is compact as it fits pretty well under our storage spaces, and she likes that it is programmable and that the no- drip feature of the carafe and the relatively large of the carafe. I do like how the flavor of the coffee comes out after making it, and coupled with the experience of being able to brew coffee without making a mess. My wife’s favorite thing about this coffee maker is that it is relatively easy to use and clean after use. I do like the easy touch digital programming controls as we are able to program the coffee maker to make coffee several hours later when we are ready to go out for the day. I also like the automatic shutoff feature and the options to select our coffee at a desired strength. So overall this is a good product that does make pretty awesome coffee as needed and I would recommend it.

    UPDATE – although I adore this coffee maker, it is literally impossible to find a replacement carafe to go with it. Hamilton Beach website has been out of stock for months, and I have googled my brains out but there are no part 990241400 carafes anywhere, and no parts for this model 46200. Not even ebay has it! What gives? It’s the perfect coffee pot, why not provide replacement carafes so I don’t have to buy a whole new coffee maker? I am so bummed.

    This is the 3rd coffee maker I have tried in 3 months, the other two I returned after 2 days. This one checks all the boxes! COMPACT, easy to use, timer program, auto shutoff, lit clock, adjustable brew strength, easily accessable water compartment, and a fantastic NO DRIP coffee pot! And, it makes excellent coffee for half the price of the ones I returned! I am so glad I found this Hamilton Beach 12 Cup Compact coffee maker! Been using it a few weeks now, no issues whatsoever.

    I read a ton of reviews and here are my 2 cents: this is the one I kept.
    Do people not understand that coffee grounds absorb water? I saw so many complaints that water up to the 6-cup mark did not equate to 6 cups in the carafe. So add another few ounces of water!
    This has a delay brew option which I use from time to time. The 2 hour keep-hot window works well, coffee is kept hot through that whole 2 hours.
    The cover that opens to pour water in doesn’t drip down the back when you open it. I got creative with a silicon straw which helped cut down on the small amount steam that comes up from the sides.

    I love this machine and it is the best one I have bought yet. First, it is so quiet, you will probably forget you made coffee. I love that it doesn’t beep too. It doesn’t make a single gurgling sound even towards the end of the brew. It has all the basic features like pause and serve, program for future time, brew strength, clock, auto off, etc. Carafe really is no drip. Pour yourself a cup without worry.

    To get to the point quickly:
    1) pours great no drips
    2) brews a little loud but does not bother anyone because everyone is asleep. I can hear it but it doesn’t bother me.
    3) I feel that the size works well for the small area on my counter
    4) easy to clean and top disconnects from the top for easy dry
    5) May look a little cheap however this does not bother me and as long as it works well the look doesn’t matter… and this does work well.
    6) all in all a good purchase and would recommend buying this product if you need a new coffee pot. Enjoy your new pot and wish everyone well.
