I had a freshly made jar of cold brew that I was taking out of the fridge but just holding it by the handle and the whole jar just separated from the lid and shattered all over the floor. I was a little worried since it had no reviews yet, but I’m glad I took a chance at it. The jar and handle are very sturdy; When going to pour your drink the handle doesn’t bend! The filter has a seal that can easily be removed for cleaning and when in the mason jar, it fits nice and snug. Perfect!

    You don’t need any special coffee grounds. Just take your favorite coffee grounds. Screen up about halfway run hot water through it until the jar is full. Let it sit on the counter overnight. In the morning, pull the strainer out and top with cold water and shake. Now you have cold brew for the rest of the week.! The jar is glass so it doesn’t stain orchid grimy. And is easy to clean. Could be used for tea as well as suppose. The screen is metal and very fine, easy to clean and should last a long time. Very durable.

    My daughter was attempting to make tea in this container. This was the 2nd time using it for this same thing. She uses loose leaf tea and prefers it hot on cooler days. The container was room temp and it definitely wasn’t cold in her house. She boiled water and left it cool down a bit. As she was pouring the water in, the bottom of the pitcher cracked and shattered up the pitcher. Spilled hot water and glass everywhere. The product paperwork states that it can withstand up to 220°F and that the glass is strong enough as long as your not pouring hot water into a cold pitcher, which she was not doing. She was so excited about this product and loved how well it worked the first time and is very disappointed that this happened and the product didn’t hold up to its description. I have sent a message to the supplier and I’m just waiting for a reply. I will update review on if the supplier makes it right or not.

    This is a COLD BREW MAKER, y’all. Even though the description says it can handle high temps up to 220°F, it’s really only intended for COLD liquid only. If you are boiling hot water and then chilling it in this, you are defeating the entire purpose of the cold brew maker. Coffee or tea goes in the filter, you pour cold water over top, steep for 12-24+ hours depending on how strong you like it, remove filter, add water to fill and VOILA!! I have used this thing numerous times already. The glass and lid are sturdy as hell and I don’t know how you are managing to shatter it. Also super easy to clean. 10/10

    I had seen an idea to make cold brew on Pinterest using a mason jar and adding coffee grounds then leaving it for 12 -24 hours, then you have to use a cheese cloth to get the grounds out, I did that a few times than thought there must be something easier , I found this and it works amazingly. I highly recommend it.

    Great infusion pitcher. Liked it so much I just bought a second one. Wish it came a little larger but, it does fit well on the refrigerator door along with a big bottle of juice. It also fits on one of the shelves, so I can have a second one “brewing” iced tea. The mesh tube is so easy to use and holds the loose dried mint leaves inside. We use tea bags and loose ground mint leaves and/or ginger. Like one reviewer mentioned, the pop-up lid can be hard to open. The top on the 2nd purchased bottle wasn’t as bad so maybe first one will “loosen up” with use. The handle is very comfortable and makes pouring easy. Bottle and tube are easy to clean. The brush is a great help with cleaning the mesh tube.
