   We have an espresso maker and a 14 cup pot. Lately we’ve been drinking less and less from the coffee pot in lieu of espresso. Added the single serve setup and we’ve transition to this for daily use. Very easy to use and fill up and we drink multiple different flavors easy enough. Love the ability to use pods or fresh grounds. The size of the unit is minuscule! Very small footprint and can go anywhere! Doesn’t leak, makes very little noise and the coffees hot what else could you ask for?

   We had a small one-cup coffee maker we used in our camper but soon realized we almost always made more than one cup at the time. I acquired this one because it can hold about three 14-ounce cups of water meaning we only need to refill reservoir once and it’s still a compact unit. It works great and is easy enough to use once you figure it out. The reservoir tank is easy to remove and refill. The buttons are hard to see unless they are lit up, meaning selected, or you have a good light source on it. Cup size is selected by pressing the size button to cycle through the 5 brew sizes. Once you’ve got your size selected and you’re loaded with water and a k-cup, just press the start button, the one that looks like a k-cup with an arrow pointing down. I found that using a light touch on the buttons works much better than trying to “mash” them. The manufacturer claims 90 seconds to brew a 6-ounce cup and three minutes to brew a 14-ounce cup and that seems about right. Subsequent cups after the first are little quicker. This coffee makes also comes with a coffee basket for brewing a cup with normal ground coffee. I haven’t tried it, but it will likely work fine and then be a small pain to clean up like all of them are. Overall, I have been very pleased with this little coffee maker.

   I like this coffee maker for the most part and enjoy that I can use the reusable pod and put my own grounds in it. I also like that I can change the amount dispensed.

   I don’t like the buttons though. You have to press and hold them for a couple seconds to get the machine to recognize you pressing it. There’s no haptic feedback or anything though so you just kind of have to guess whether or not you pressed it long enough. I find myself re-pushing buttons often and getting frustrated. It doesn’t seem like they thought much about the user experience or they would’ve made the buttons click or something when you’ve successfully started it

   I came back to update my review. This coffee maker does not stand the test of time. I got this in august of last year and it’s only March. You’ll be lucky if it lasts you 6 months. It’s been spraying coffee all over my kitchen so I have to just replace it at this point. I do not at all recommend this product

   Update: Customer support did contact me after I followed up with an email and after some back & forth they agreed to ship me a new one. The new one is working perfectly although I do think it may be an updated machine. I like the concept of being able to brew a pod or use coffee grounds for a cup of coffee. We’ll see how long this new one lasts. I guess we can’t expect a Keurig at a non-Keurig price.

   At first this coffee maker worked fine. Now, 2 months later and as another reviewer wrote, it is randomly spewing out water after a cup has been made and frankly making a mess after walking away with a perfectly good cup of coffee. The “add water” light flashes when it is obvious there is enough water in the tank. I called their customer support and all it allows me to do is to leave a message. If you try to contact support via the “link” it does not work. I am very frustrated by this. I have left a message so we’ll see if they get back to me.

   I use this coffee maker to make coffee at work occasionally. Sometimes I have K-cup coffee, and sometimes I do not. It can work either way. It has a setting for how much water I want to be mixed with my coffee. It has a water container that can be used for more than one cup, depending on my setting. Some parts in contact with hot water are made of plastic, so make sure it is something you are okay with.

   I really like the small footprint of this brewer! The water tank even “locks” on so that if you’re using this in a mobile application (van life, camping trailer, etc.) you don’t have to worry about it falling off. I did knock off one star for the inlet water “needle” having some rust inside of it (see photo). However, I was able to clean majority of it off with a q-tip and some vinegar. I love that it also comes with a “grounds basket” for brewing your own ground coffee, but I have not had the opportunity to test that yet. I’m using it in my classroom at school and it fits nicely on top of my little mini-fridge for a mini coffee-station!

    I’ve used it for making hot tea, coffee and cocoa. I can make different sizes. I’ve noticed when it runs out of water you refill it. Start a new cup. Otherwise it will brew the same amount in your previous cup and it will overflow.

    The Cowsar single serve coffee Maker is my new favorite appliance. Coffee is the first thing I look forward to each morning when I arise and I have used a standard 12 cup machine with a cone filter for decades to get my fix. I was aware of single serve coffee makers and know people who use them, but I never thought of getting one for myself because I didn’t want to make six single cups every day. But, I saw the Cowsar was available for Vine evaluation and my curiosity compelled me to give it a try. The Cowsar has a user manual, but the machine is so simple to use I have yet to read it. It has a water reservoir on the back that allows you to make up to four cups of coffee before needing to refill it. The dispensing mechanism is in the front along with the controls. The user simply places a coffee cup under the dispensing nib, inserts a coffee pod in the receptacle under the cover on top, closes it, picks the size being brewed, and touches the brew button. It took me three minutes and 48 seconds to brew a 14oz cup of Joe…not really too bad. In addition to using coffee pods, this machine comes with a screen filter that allows you to use your regular grounds to make a single cup. I was disappointed, however, with the cup of coffee it made using my regular grind and the filter. It just wasn’t as robust as those cups made with the pods. The cup size options are from six to 14 ounces in two ounce increments. Since you use a single pod for each cup regardless of the size you make, the smaller the cup the stronger the coffee. I bought a dark roast coffee and made a 14oz cup. Without exaggeration, it’s the best coffee I have made in years..…by far!! I no longer use a creamer and sweetener….it’s that good. I have found the prices of the coffee pods can range anywhere from $.25 per pod to over $1.00, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of difference in quality. There are a couple of minor issues with the Cowsar. First, it does not have a clock and therefore cannot be programmed to come on at a designated time. Nor does it have a keep warm element where the coffee cup sits….that might be a nice feature for Cowsar to consider for future models. The controls can sometimes be difficult to use. I found myself having to touch them multiple times to get them to comply with their intended function. These are all minor issues and don’t diminish this, in all other respects, excellent appliance. I really like this coffee maker and have, consequently, retired my relatively new, traditional coffee maker. I used to wake up looking forward to my first sip of morning coffee, but now I find myself anticipating that first cup the night before when I am getting into bed. I am still experimenting on the brand of coffee I intend to use, but so far no matter which coffee I use, I don’t think the Cowsar will make a bad cup of Joe.

    After using this single-serve coffee maker several times, I’m impressed with its performance. It rivals well-known brands with its functionality and user-friendly features. The streamlined design fits nicely on my counter without taking up too much space. Design-wise it is sleek and modern, without a lot of fussy details. The touchscreen is simple to use and very clear. (Note: I underestimated the ounces that would fit in one of my mugs and had a little overflow, so you might want to test to make sure you select the right number of ounces to brew!) I appreciate that it comes with both a pod holder and a filter for loose grounds, making it versatile and easy to clean. The 40-ounce water tank is perfect for my occasional single cup of coffee, eliminating the need to brew a full pot. It brews a cup in about 2 minutes and 21 seconds, and the coffee comes out nice and hot. However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks to mention. The coffee maker’s box and materials lacked any branding, which could be confusing for some. Additionally, there is a slight splashing during the brew cycle, and unfortunately, a 16-ounce travel mug doesn’t fit in the opening. Overall, it’s a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable single-serve coffee maker with a compact design. UPDATE: A few times now I have selected ounces based on the size of the mug I am using and had overflows. At first, I thought this was me underestimating the volume or choosing the wrong size mug, but I now know that the machine is inconsistent in the ounces dispensed. Just today I selected 8 oz, had a mug plenty big enough to accommodate, but it dispensed about 12-14 ounces (I poured the coffee into a measuring cup to check). This does not happen *every* time, but it has happened. So my advice is to choose a very large mug and/or a smaller number of ounces to avoid a mess.

    This coffee maker is the ultimate in flexibility. It’s so nice to use grounds or pods and it can fill taller “to go” style cups as well. I appreciate the variety of fill settings as well. I do wish the reservoir was a little larger, as we have to fill it more often than comparable models we’ve used in the past. Additionally, sometimes it randomly decides to dispense a larger amount of water than selected and this occasionally leads to overflowing cups and a hot coffee mess to clean up. For the price, I suppose it’s worth living with the excitement of not knowing how much you’re getting, since that problem only happens 5% or less of the time. I am also in love with the reusable filter since it works better than any other I’ve used in the past, and allows me to use cheaper grounds instead of pods, as well as being far more environmentally friendly.

    Had a 10 cup standard coffee maker and while it still works I found that it was difficult to clean and I was making more coffee than I drank most of the time. Love this coffee maker as it makes just what I need. It has a small foot print and no pot to clean. Love that you can use k-cups or just normal coffee grinds. Obviously would not be ideal for those looking to make a large amount at once. I’m certain I’ll be using this one more than the old one if I even keep the old one.
