   I wanted a coffee maker that could serve espresso, but also just a good cup of joe. I like my Nespresso machine for coffee but I don’t like how it costs $1.35 minimum for each coffee.

   The coffee this machine brews is better than my Nespresso. I can actually differentiate the taste of one medium roast from another, which is something I haven’t found too often from machines in the past. The only downside is that it serves about 1/2 mug. I believe that I can program it to serve more though so perhaps that’s something I just have to read and understand from the manual.

   The espresso is as I thought it would be – top notch. Want to know what’s even better? The iced coffee! Really, the iced coffee feature wasn’t something I was too excited about – but its really what knocks this machine out of the park…. its amazing.

   Overall, I’ll give the machine a 8/10. If I can solve the amount of joe per mug problem, then probably a 9/10. It would get a 10/10 if the grinder was a little quieter.

   I liked the ease of use. I didn’t like that coffee is not hot enough even after adjusting the temperature to maximum. It’s unfortunate that Delonghi couldn’t modify to increase the temperature a bit more to make the espresso hot and enrich the flavour. 1 year after, the machine is leaking, unable to make coffee and no warranty by Delonghi because the seller 3rd party is not an authorized retailer. I hope coffeemakers.us.com will stand behind what they sold me.

   Great machine for the coffee lover. We owned one in Switzetland, after six years of heavy use we had to give it to a friend when we moved back (110v vs. 220v), and it was still good as new. Immediately replaced it when we got here. By the cup saves coffee. The fresh ground flavor is perfect and the milk frother let’s me play batista on the weekends. Great machine.

    I have been using the espresso coffee machine from July to the present. We use it for 4 coffee cups a day. My wife and I make and drink 2 cups of espresso a day. The water we use is Sparkletts brand bottle water. We don’t use regular California hard water. In September, the descale warning lamp blinked to flash. I immediately ordered a descaling solution from coffeemakers.us.com. It’s the same brand! Although I did everything shown on youtube and websites, even though I spent 5 gallons of water for hours, I could not turn off that light. My wife and daughter also tried, even though we do everything said in all the videos, that light does not go out and we have to press a few extra buttons each time to get coffee. Also, according to my calculation, there is an extra 3 glasses of water to get 5 glasses of coffee. The machine empties the water in the chamber before and after the coffee and leaves it in the chamber at the bottom. If you keep the water there for a long time, it bad smells. slippery like moss! My advice is to have a container before and after each coffee so that it does not go into that chamber. In the first 2-3 coffees, we smelled a very heavy plastic smell. When we registered for this smell, we were told that it was normal, but I spilled the next 5 cups of coffee, that smell went away. I know they have pretty cheap issues for a $900 coffee maker. If I had the chance to different brand exchange or return it right now, I would do it right away. I think to stay away! BTW, When I ordered this coffee machine, they sent me a used device with a warehouse fault tag on it. I waited for the new machine for exactly 1 month.

    I love the coffee. BUT. Every month you have to descale the machine. This takes me up to 2 hours because I have to go on Youtube and it never works the 1st or 3rd time. Who has 2 hours once a month to sit there and be frustrated over the descaling process. After 3 months of this I am getting rid of this over priced machine. I just want a good cup of coffee

    I received a defective machine even though I ordered and paid for a new machine. I have been going back and forth with Delonghi customer service for two weeks. They offered a replacement which I have not received. Then they emailed me they would send me a label to return the machine so they can fix it. I called the customer service again to explain that I bought a new machine and want a perfect model. They agreed again and yet I have received nothing. I am calling a final time today before returning this as my coffee grounds are not grinding in fine form and the coffee is very weak.
