The item worked perfectly for the first four months, but unfortunately, it has stopped functioning properly. Typically, a light is displayed when the machine is plugged in, but as shown in the attached picture, the light is no longer on. Given that the product malfunctioned after only a few months of use, I believe this issue is not due to any fault of our own. I would appreciate it the company would review this situation and consider providing a replacement for the defective item.

Worked for exactly one year then, despite rigorously following the instructions regarding, cleaning, cooling and not overloading, it stopped heating. So is it worth buying each year? If the batch size was larger maybe yes but in its current configuration it is too much trouble to buy a device that is unreliable too.👎

It roasts coffee beans very well, unfortunately the top lid cracked and melted after less than 3 months. It still works for now but contacting customer service has been impossible. The email address kicks back as unknown and the chat button is non-existent.

It gets the job done. I wish the batch size was bigger though. I have to roast 4 times to get enough coffee for just 3 weeks. and only myself drink coffee.
Also, there’s no timer or automation. So annoying and time consuming. But for the price, it’s worth it.

I’ve done 30 roasts now using this roaster. Have had some great coffee from it. Takes a few roasts to get it tuned in, be patient. Do not use preset times on medium or dark settings. Just set a timer on your phone and track the stages of your roast by sight and popping of first crack. Simple to use and cheap way to get great coffee once you fine tune your roast!! I would recommend this roaster to any beginner!

I followed the directions and found myself adjusting my times. Begin roast on medium. Stopped the roast at 16.5 minutes for this Mexican bean.. Turned out perfectly!

I purchased this roaster a little over two weeks ago and have since roasted a fresh batch of coffee for my wife and I each day. It’s the perfect size for us and produces enough for us to have two cups each. It has a medium and dark setting both which run for 20 minutes each. Then there is a cool down setting that runs for 4 minutes. You can set your watch by it. I have attached pictures of the flat medium and glossy dark roasts. It really is like clockwork and super consistent. I was happy with that performance and consistency. It allowed me to try different beans and detect the differences since the machine would roast so consistently. Now the problem. On day one I noticed a plastic smell which continued through day three roast. It pretty much went away until yesterday when the lid cracked I suppose from the exposure to heat. The roaster is a great idea but as the item is largely made of plastic it simply can’t stand up to even one roast a day for two weeks. I can’t give this item more than 2 Stars as a result and am regrettably returning it. See attached photo of the lid. I really wanted it to keep working. It makes very consistent coffee for two people. **updated** After leaving this review and starting the return process the company must have seen my review and offered to replace the lid. They shipped the item and it arrived several days later. So far it is holding up. It really is an enjoyable roaster. I feel that they have done a good job taking care of me and really is a perfect size for me as noted above. I am adjusting the review to 4 stars. I am now two months into using this roaster every day.

Was very excited about this product. Received as Xmas gift from wife and just today received my first bag of Vietnamese Robusta green coffee beans. Did a first roast of medium 60g then a dark 70g and did another medium at 70g. The dark beans were very consistent in color and the medium beans were mixed. Started to clean the machine with the included brush and noticed the lid had melted. Very sad. This was my very first roast haven’t even tried the beans yet. Hoping I can find a replacement lid.

This unit roasts the same volume of a beans as one of those Korean ceramic coffee pan roasters; 60-70 grams . I really like the chaff catcher. I can finally roast indoors . The smoke is very minimal for medium roast ( I use yirgacheffe coffee beans ) . Picture is medium roast . The coffee produced is amazing . I love the thick crema when making espresso from freshly roasted beans . I was concerned about the durability from other reviewers so I bought the 3-year protection plan just in case

I love this roaster but now my lid is ruined. I have normally roasted in Medium mode. I just tried Dark mode and wonder if this is a result of using this mode. As I mentioned in my subject line, I wanted to love this because the size is perfect, it’s easy to use. Not sure if I can continue to use this as is.

This was my first roasting experience. It was pretty cool to be able to roast my own coffee. Home roasted coffee is 100x better than 6 month old Keurig coffee pods. Unfortunately, the lid melted the first day I used it so it’s going back.

this is a very small, simple item that has turned my coffee experience upside down. Beans are readily available on line and relatively cheap to purchase. The process of roasting them with this item is incredibly easy, well documented and instructed and satisfying. It will only do medium and dark roast but who needs that light roast stuff anyway…lol. It takes surprisingly little time to roast up a batch of beans. It does not roast up large amounts at one time, but then if the idea is the get fresh roasted, then that is fine as well. It also allows for experimenting with been types, roast lengths, and even some flavoring fun. And the aroma that drifts throughout the house is amazing. I don’t know what I did without this. totally sold on this.

Update: The seller contacted me about my experience. We walked through more details about the process and we believe I had a faulty machine so they sent me a new machine pretty quickly. The new machine works well and the beans come out looking great at both medium and dark roast levels ! I didn’t need to do anything to the machine except push the button and watch the beans roast. Highly recommend, but also make sure you keep an eye on your roaster. 🙂 Original review: Either I’m bad at this, or I got a faulty machine. The lid melted the first time I tried to do a medium roast. The beans were also very burnt. After a few attempts I figured out how to successfully roast beans by manually cycling to cool down.
