   If you use a mug (not a cup) for coffee, the 5-cup mark for water on the pot delivers about 3 mugs, perfect for me. I used the same bottled water I’ve used with other coffee and tea makers, and the same brand of ground coffee, so the improved taste is due to the difference in coffee maker, not ingredients. The coffee doesn’t start to drip into the pot until after a couple of minutes, so it is actually brewing–adding the HOT water to the coffee, not letting it start to drip into the pot the minute you turn it on. I esp like the way there is NO DRIPPING down onto the heating element when you take the pot out to pour either. (For some reason, even a few drips of coffee on a hot base plate just never seem to wipe completely off, and that builds up as it bakes in with repeated use). After it’s brewed, the pot of coffee stayed hot over the couple of hours I used it, but didn’t overheat into a witches’ brew of concentrated liquid. The reusable basket washes easily, so no need to buy paper filters. Use the same amount of coffee and water you normally do, according to how strong you like it.**UPDATE. I decided to try using a paper coffee filter outside of the basket, since the ground coffee I was using still left a small amount of residue on the bottom of the coffee cup, especially with the last of the pot. This worked perfectly, and any residue left in the pot went into the paper filter. There was absolutely none at the bottom the cup. This is a very good basic coffee maker at a reasonable price. I like it. (If anything changes over time, as always, I’ll update this review.)

   I had my very first cup of coffee this morning from this little pot. It turned out perfect! I don’t like the steel mesh filter, so I use the junior-size paper basket filters. I buy the from coffeemakers.us.com. I revoked the metal basket and replaced it with paper. It is perfect for one person. My primary cup is around 14 ounces. I have a little left over for a ‘heater-upper’.
   It’s small enough to store in the cabinet when I’m not using it. My counter space is
   tiny. I don’t store small kitchen appliances on it.

    This is the smallest coffeemaker I have ever seen. It says 5 cups, but that’s 8oz cups. We drink at least 12oz cups, and like to refill our cup, so in my mind this is a coffeemaker for 2 or 3 people. It is difficult to pour the water from the carafe, it doesn’t tip well. It pours off the lip on to the table. You have to pour slowly and carefully. Its better to use a cup for pouring in the cold water; there’s a measure on the side indicator. I had to add a little extra water to wet the coffee grinds in the basket to get it started, otherwise it drips clear water right through the grinds. The first few times I used it I wasn’t sure I was going to keep it, but after I worked out the kinks, it worked fine and makes a decent cup of coffee. I think good or bad coffee depends on the brand of coffee you use, not so much the coffeemaker. I use Duncan Donuts coffee, 1 coffee measure for 2 cups water. * I write reviews to let you know how this product was for me, and to aid you in your decision to buy or not buy.

    I bought because my big coffee maker died & I needed a same day replacement. I chose this lesser known brand (at least to me) based on the great reviews,. It did not disappoint! It’s a small but solid coffee maker. the carafe fits snuggly and the pause to pour works well – no drippy mess. It comes with a reusable basket which is great because it’s much smaller than the standard filters. It keeps the coffee really hot for 2 hours. 5 cups is exactly enough for 2 14 oz mugs, Highly recommend.

    Basically what had happened was there is a spring and release that lets the coffee drip down or holds it back, in the event that you take the pot out, so that it doesn’t spill. Unfortunately the coffee pot and the part of the pot lid that is supposed to ousb that up and release the coffee? Too short. Instead the coffee fills up in the filter, and rolls over the side, complete with grounds, so you get to chew the excess. This is a backup coffee pot I got to make a joke online and I just needed a small one that operates with an on off power switch to link to a smart plug. So, 2 stars, because the joke was not dependent on me actually enjoying the coffee after. However, for others, I used two heat resistant silicone spatulas (one is a level technically) to prop it just enough to function. So if anyone buys this, assume you have to hold it manually or re-filter your coffee.

    I recently got my hands on the Coffee Maker, and so far, it’s been pretty solid. Right out of the box, it has a clean and compact design, which is great if you’re like me and don’t have tons of counter space to spare.     I was a bit concerned when reading some reviews for this product, but finally went for it, and I am very glad I did, hopefully this review helps others like me: POURING: I could not find any spilling problems, coffee pours just fine and without steam burns, not sure how anyone could have a problem here, I’m attaching a video so you are at ease. BREW: brews just as fast as my old one, and at the right water temperature ~190F see picture, and coffee came out just right without any weird smell or flavors. PAUSE&SERVE: actually better than my last one, if done carefully most of the time I’m able to remove the pot while brewing without a drop, at most you will get one drop into the hot plate. QUALITY: Yes, it is cheap but it does not feel of bad quality, it feels like a SIMPLE design, with not much that can break, which is what I was looking for, no electronics that can go bad. Of course, only time will tell, but I will be back to update if this doesn’t last as long as expected.

    I needed to cut back on coffee/caffeine and was having a hard time just making half a pot. This has turned out to be perfect. I can make a “full” pot which comes out to a little less than two mugs (mine are big) and I can stop at that. When I made a 10-12 cup pot, I would end up eventually drinking the whole thing during the course of the day and my blood pressure was paying the price. Perfect purchase for me and didn’t break the bank.

    Heat level is just perfect for how I like my coffee to be and it’s easy to clean the little 4 cup pot. Water capacity is slightly less than 4 cups unless you fill the reservoir above the 4cup mark. Update as of 2/20/2025 this coffee maker no longer works as it never even heats the water up, so I’m back to my 1 cup coffee maker which is so still working 😀

Bon, au niveau du 4 tasses, il faut comprendre que c’est des petites tasses ce qui équivaut environ à 2 mugs . Le filtre permanent et très efficace. Elle ne s’arrête pas automatiquement. Je l’ai branché sur une prise intelligente avec Alexa et une fois qu’elle a fait son café, la prise intelligente est programmée pour arrêter au bout de 30 minutes. C’est une façon économique de faire du café pas de perte jusqu’à ce qu’il faut. Oui je la recommande pour une personne ou deux.

    Though this was not an expensive small coffee pot, I would have expected it would last longer than 2 weeks past the return window. Not only is the burner peeling, the basket which is cleaned every day, drips grounds into the carafe. The pot has never been over filled with water. This pot gets used once a day. Guess I’ll go back to a small Mr Coffee pot which has at least lasted a year in the past.

    First of all, if you overfill the water reservoir a bit, to the top of the window, you will get almost five cups, or the standard 25 oz, of brewed coffee, or two 12 oz mugs. If you fill the reservoir to the recommended level, you will get four cups, or 20 oz. My biggest gripe is that the filter basket is too small. Currently I’m using a paper filter, I don’t want to dump the grounds down the drain because I’m in a house, not apartment, and I’d have to deal with clogged drains myself. I’m using six scoops of ground coffee, I like strong, and sometimes the filter overfills and coffee grounds get in the cup. Because the basket is so small, the coffee maker senses when the the basket is filled with coffee and stops brewing, usually at the three cup level. The picture shows it stopping at the 4 cup point. It starts again and goes to four and stops again. Finally it starts again and finishes at about 5 cups if I filled to that point. The picture shows about 4 ½ cups of finished coffee when starting out filled with water as shown on the top of the page. I have to wait for the coffee to stop dripping because the valve leaks. I do like the coffee maker because it is small and compact but there are disadvantages to being small.

    After the first use, the bottom of the carafe was dotted with burned on pieces of coating from the hot plate. Even still, More and more comes off with each use. In addition, it is a struggle to get the carafe out to pour. It is a tight fit and takes two hands and many wiggles to get it out. Normally, I wipe it down and use a scrubber to remove the flakes on the carafe and the plate after each use, but I left it this time to take the picture. You can see how it is still bubbled and ready to shed more coating. On the positive side: It does make coffee.
