   The soft touch control is finicky to begin with which makes it very difficult to set up. Two months after purchase it got a mind of its own and would never fill a full carafe, then shut off. It became no more than a turn on coffee maker.

   This checked so many boxes for me: up to 4 hour shut off, 14 cup carafe, temp control, brew strength. BUT there is a design flaw on the panel that runs all these features. If you barely touch the screen, times change, you can turn off features, change settings. It is very frustrating. The front panel needs to be set up so more of a delay touch will reset settings, like a press and hold type panel. Just my opinion, but when I’m out of town my husband gets the travel coffee maker out and uses it as this one is to frustrating to use.

   I was hesitant to write the review after just one week of use, but it’s been consistently producing great coffee each morning and I’m thrilled I bought it! The touch screen is very easy to use, there are 4 choices of brew to choose from, though we’ve only tried bold and robust so far. I love the alarm and keep warm features. You can set it to keep the pot warm for up to 4 hours and at 3 different settings: low medium or high (medium keeps it plenty warm). It’s a nice looking coffee maker and the best part for me is that it makes the exact amount of water poured in the reservoir (love that it is separate from machine for easy cleaning). Other coffee makers I’ve tried ended up with sometimes 1-2 cups less than what water was input. The lighted filter makes it easy to see how much coffee is in the filter (helps if you lose track of counting like I do). It was very important I have a 14 cup coffee maker and in full transparency I have only made between 8-10 cups, but I have faith, based on my experience this week, that it will continue making strong, hot coffee no matter the amount.

   We’ve been using this coffee maker for about 3 months now and it has been working great. The reservoir in the back can be removed and filled right at the faucet. The inside of the basket is lit so its easy to see the level of coffee you are putting in there. It has multiple settings for keeping the coffee hot, brewing times, etc, etc. So far very impressed with this coffee pot.

   I am using this coffee maker for my own personal use. I love drinking coffee and this machine is a must have in my household. I love how the water reservoir and the scoop are marked, makes it much easier to make that perfect preferred strength of coffee.    I love the stainless steel look of this coffee maker. Its very easy to clean. So many neat features my old coffee maker didn’t have. The water reservoir is removable for easy hand washing. The mesh filter inside has line indicators to tell you how much coffee to use for however many cups you want to make. I love the default warmer setting that keeps the coffee warm for up to 2 hrs without burning it. Love it!

   I don’t always do reviews, but this maker deserves one. I’m an avid coffee drinker. I just bought a high priced coffee pot from Best Buy and within 1 month it stopped working properly. Luckily coffeemakers.us.com shipped this one quickly. I wasn’t super impressed after unboxing this one, but after using it, it’s definitely the best coffee pot I’ve owned in 40 years. I was determined to get one with a built in filter. This has a small light illuminating the filter reservoir & for some reason the design makes it super easy to dump the coffee grains and clean. Love that. Also, I wasn’t sure about the detachable water reservoir, but it’s a spectacular idea. I use filtered water and it’s so much easier to pour into the reservoir than any coffee maker I’ve owned. Great idea. Another thing I noticed is the pause function that allows you to steal a cup of coffee while it’s operating is superior to any pot I’ve ever owned. It doesn’t drip one drop on the hot plate. And I mean not one tiny drop. The hot plate was always ruined quickly on previous ones, because the pause didn’t work well. I’m impressed. I also love that it produces coffee quickly! Once I prompt it to percolate, I need that first cup fast. I’m not a morning person and I need my first cup right now. This makes 10-12 cups pronto. Oh, and the glass carafe pour spout is designed perfectly. Others I’ve seen don’t pour right, and this one is designed so it doesn’t drip on the counter. This maker is the easiest to clean out of dozens I’ve owned. I’m super pleased with my purchase and I paid a minimal amount for a 3 year warranty. Thank you for finally making a coffee maker that is a pleasure to use instead of a pain.

    This is the best coffee maker I have ever owned. From the versatile settings, to the large pot, to the warming mechanism. It works great, looks great, but most importantly the coffee tastes great.     The design is slim but you still have to pull the whole machine out to put the water & coffee grounds in it. If the water reservoir came off of the side & the basket actually pushed open instead of lifting the lid, it would be a much better coffee maker. Also the buttons are very sensitive… Nothing fits on the counter anymore & you always have to move things around to use them. Anything that lifts open is not worth buying anymore.

    We needed a coffee pot to replace our Ninja that kept going on the fritz. I like the look of the pot – streamline and silver. Has a warmer feature, for 2 hours (we’d prefer longer). Great timer and has been reliable in coming on in the morning – makes a great pot of coffee. I have no idea why the blue light inside the machine (that illuminates the grounds) makes me happy, but it does. 2 cons we’ve found so far: The cord is short. You will need to have an outlet right by the pot or run an extension cord. The buttons are non-intuitive….three of us (heavy coffee drinkers) unpacked and set this up and we were unable to use it without going thru the instruction manual first. Overall, we are happy with it – seems to be solidly working and well made, should last a while!

    The pot shattered 2 months in, and a replacement is not available anywhere but direct from Hamilton Beach to the tune of 36 bucks after shipping. We did it. Guess what had a giant crack running diagonal through it 2 weeks later? We love the coffee machine itself but we cannot afford to keep using it and spending that money on replacement carafes. It would be nice if coffeemakers.us.com carried the accessory parts to at least save on the shipping via prime.

    I used to think Hamilton Beach was a sub-par cheap’O lame brand that created junky appliances. WRONG! This coffee maker is fantastic, modern, sleek, and O M F G it brews a FANTASTIC pot of bold coffee. So easy to clean. Love the removable water container in the back. The heating element is freaking HOT so if you love a PIPING HOT cup of coffee, even several hours AFTER brew time, you’ll love this coffee maker.     This is one well designed unit. Nice looking. Squared form factor makes it look less old fashioned more “tech-y”,large amount of coffee, easy to program, easy to fill/empty filter, easy to fill & attach water reservoir (only have to lift it less than 1” to attach). A PERFECT NO DRIP LID on the pot. Great filter-very little “crud” on bottom when pouring last cup. Long “warming” time-up to 4 hours. Three brew strengths.

    Only cons are: reservoir on back, BUT keeping the unit on a small tray allows me to slide the unit out and access the reservoir very easily.
    DO NOT use the guides on the filter for the amt of coffee to use. You’ll be up for a week!
    Love the 14cup size but a full pot is kind of heavy to lift.
    All said it’s still a full 5 star unit.

    I absolutely love this coffee pot! Everything about it is great, love the removable carafe makes it so easy to fill, love the time for the warming plate, love to adjustable temperature control for the warming plate, never have lukewarm coffee out of the pot again. It is simple to use, and it looks great too. Matches the rest of our kitchen appliances perfectly and it is reasonably priced. I highly recommend this coffepot!

    This worked fine until the little rubber washer popped off the filter basket and now the spring loaded spout dumps coffee. There is no phone that you can get a live person. Only email contact. No model number on box, product or directions. Very frustrating ! Bought this on the 17th February and broke this morning March 6…..I had to use a rubber washer from an old coffee maker I still had and it worked. Now I am trying to get them to send me a replacement……NOT HAPPY…….UPDATE- March 7 they told me they would replace the unit. Is all I asked for was a replacement washer but they have no parts in America and it probably cost as much as a new washer to get a whole new unit from China. No more American coffee makers, I guess. It will only take 6 weeks. I did find the model and series numbers on the bottom of the unit. Turn a coffee make upside down and all the water drips out.

    I bought because the Hamilton Beach heating plates usually stay looking new, compared to other brands. No aftermarket carafes can be found and the filter pouches are hard to get. I do like the removable water reservoir.

    Unfortunately, the heating plate surface started degrading immediately, more like the brands I was avoiding.
