   Really liked this product. Solid, large (honest 2 liters), double-walled construction kept coffee warm, and I found it easy to pour. I also liked the polished metal exterior and design. In fact, the lid has an interior lip to hold it in place, along with a beveled indent that can be rotated to the front to increase the pouring opening or rotated away to decrease it and seal in more heat. Bravo! However, I could not escape a metal taste that I perceived in coffee that came from it. In a household of 4, two of us tasted a metal flavor, and one did not (one was unasked). We tried washing it out with vinegar and using it over several weeks in the hopes that the taste would resolve, because otherwise the product was a delight. While the metal taste seemed to diminish about 60% with vinegar treatment, repeated cleaning and use, the taste was still too strong for me at the end of the return window, so we returned it. The same coffee made in a glass press had little or no metal flavor. Our experience might be the result of a one-off manufacturing issue, something about the brushed metal finish on the inside, or metal on metal contact of the inside pot wall with plunger but we ultimately decided to look for another coffee solution.

   I really like the quality of this large cafetière. We use it everyday with no complaints. Good capacity, easy to clean, pleasing to look at – we just keep it on the side in the kitchen.

   In 2020 we upgraded our french press to a 1.75L, and now that our teenagers are drinking more coffee we looked for something larger, and this was the only press we found. Upon receiving it we filled our old press full with water and put it in this new press – exactly the same size. Our older press is still a great press so I guess we’ll have to continue using it until a larger capacity comes on our radar.
   This press is much bulkier looking then the one we have now, but it looks nice and would get the job done, just note that it only holds 1.75L

   With a household of coffee drinkers this lets me only have to make one pot in the morning. My cup is a 34 oz insulated mug, with 2 ounces of cream I get my morning quart. Love the extra capacity of this French Press and it filters the grounds out completely.

   Quality control is very poor with this item. Inside the Press is heavily scratched and catches all the coffee making it a pain to clean. The handle on top is not threaded or fixed in place so it falls off immediately (I used JB Weld to attach it firmly). The threads that hold the filter in place are very weak and do not tighten fully. Very disappointed with purchase.. had I not paid shipping from Europe I would have sent it back immediately.

   This is a sturdy, well made press that will last for years. After having several glass presses broken by our kids, I knew we needed a stainless one. I was so happy to find a giant French press so that I’m not making coffee for an hour straight when we have company! The extra price for the extra big size is worth it! It keeps the coffee hot for a long time, so it is still hot when the last bit is poured!

   This is the best French press we have ever owned. Not only is it huge, it has a fine screen so that no grounds get into your coffee. Also, just touching this thing you know that it is a quality piece. It is hefty and thick stainless steel. Bravo!

    Eine super French-Press. Die Größe ist perfekt für den Kaffee, wenn man mal Besuch hat. Von der Qualität bin ich nur bedingt begeistert. Sieht super aus, wenn man aber die Kanne mit heißem Wasser füllt pfeift sie… Irgendwo muss also eine schlechte Stelle sein, wäre daher eher B-Ware. Ich hoffe das dort keine Feuchtigkeit eindringt… Davon abgesehen ist die Kanne zu empfehlen. Hält den Kaffe einige Zeit schön warm.

    The product is described as 16c/2L. If the instructions on the packaging are followed, the product will make 58oz/1.8L of beverage, that would be 16 cups of 3-5/8 ounces each. The weld on top of the handle is a mess. All the other welds look good, and if it were in an inconspicuous location it would be fine, but this is glaring to me. I could not believe the pot only had the damage to the bottom where it was pushed in and now does not sit flat on the counter top. Maybe they should charge a few dollars more and put some packing material around it instead of placing it into a paper bag to be shipped all the way to the United States from the United Kingdom. I purchased this product because it was advertised as the largest and it may well be, and it is a testament to its durability that it survived a trip across the pond in a paper bag with minimal damage, but I am still a little disappointed.
