   I bought this coffee machine after months of figuring out which one would give me the authentic cappuccino I have had for years with my Tassimo. I had real milk and espresso pods with Tassimo and needed something that made milk based drinks as well as regular good coffee without many steps. The Expert Classy Plus fit the bill because I didn’t have to use a separate frother like Nespresso or have flavored coffee with Keurig. My machine works ok, but I was told by Lavazza technical service that the amount of water dispersed into the holding capsule compartment is normal and on occasion the pod needs to be nudged in place, or it will get stuck. Both issues bother me, and don’t think any amount of water should be the norm for an empty compartment of used capsules. The amount of coffee in each capsule is more than Nespresso which gives a bolder taste which I like, but I still might return it as I have 30 days. Wish Tassimo was still a current machine with easy to order available compatible coffee. Lavazza is the number one coffee in Italy, and it is authentic, but the machine seems to need some tweaks, so I am on the fence at this point as to what the alternative is. Mine could be defective, as others who have the same machine do not have water accumulated in the capsule storage in the machine. I would need a replacement to find out. What to do…what to do…UPDATE 4.24.23 Around two weeks ago the machine started leaking water from the bottom all over my counter and I wrote to Lavazza again explaining the timeline of defective issues which they were aware of with this new one added and did not get any solution to date. I am positive I got a defective unit, as all Lavazza machines can’t be this way. Two stars is for the coffee taste and ability to make a real cappuccino in one process, not my experience with a defective unit. I called coffeemakers.us.com in my despair and explained the chain of events, and they refunded my money!    I was super excited about this machine. But when I first brewed the coffee, only small amount of coffee was produced. When I checked the part where the used pods go, it was wet with coffee. Literally that part was filled with coffee that was supposed to go into the cup. And I found this rubber, anybody knows what this part is? where I need to put that into? so disappointed and their customer service was hard to reach out. Please re-consider buying this product. not worthy of $300.

   I loved this machine. Especially as it froths and warms up the milk in the same vessel as it dispenses the coffee, all in one step. Downside as I see with many other reviews, the electronics fail and now it is not working, at all. Customer service was helpful. I guess I’ll wait a couple of weeks for a free replacement. I did note after looking at the underside of my machine today to get the serial number for the tech that there are some signs of this particular machine having been opened in the past.

   the coffee is very good, the options with dairy (foam) work excellent, and coffee is hot (not super, but as hot as any cup instant brew.) Not trying to sound like a fanboy, but this is a great product and worth the money. Have owned Keurig, Tassimo, and a Nespresso. This Lavazza machine blows them all away. only thing that is a bit of a pain is the cups aren’t sold in almost any stores. so don’t let your supply run to low before ordering online. Also they coffee is twice the price of cheaper cups. But its also twice as good in my opinion. one other small drawback. it only comes with one cup and lid device to make dairy based drinks. so can’t enjoy a cup with someone else unless you buy and additional cup or pour into different cup. And they aren’t cheap $70 ish and are almost impossible to get. I ordered one, and two weeks later the seller cancelled order.

    I own and have used a Rancilio Silvia for almost 18 years. I enjoy the ritual of making an espresso or Latte – but don’t always have the time. So I bought this machine for quick fixes. After using it, I think this will be my primary Espresso drink machine It is a fantastic bargain and makes delicious high quality espresso drinks.     I had a LOR machine…I really like some of the coffee but you’re limited with that machine as to flavors and availability. I bought the Keurig that has the cream frother built in. I wasn’t crazy about the taste of the coffee and neither was my husband. I did discover that I loved Lavazza brand coffee. It’s better than Starbucks imo. So I bought the Lavazza machine…it is amazing. The coffee has a lot of substance and a clean flavor. It doesn’t have that stale weird k cup capsule flavor but does taste like barista made coffee. This machine has a ton of options and many choices of coffees and flavors. I’m so glad I went ahead and bought this! Well well worth it!
    Edit: I still love the machine and it works great. I was curious why this machine is under $200 and another very similar model is $409. I looked closely and here’s the difference: one is manufactured in Italy and the company offers some warranty details. It’s also 1350 Watts. That would be the $409 dollar model. The other is 1250 watts and manufactured in China. Lavazza won’t offer any respite if you have an issue. Having said that I love this machine and can’t imagine it being much better for the price.

    After years of a daily routine stopping at SBs to pick up a latte, I stopped a few years back because of the $100+ I was spending a month. I did still crave the occasional latte or cappuccino, but the cost of a good, automated coffee machine with a milk frother was just too expensive. Then I came across this machine and it seemed perfect. I’ve had it a week, and it’s been fantastic! The milk is perfectly frothed, cleanup is a breeze, and it tasted just like what you get in an overpriced cardboard cup. I don’t understand the complaints in the reviews about it not adding the espresso to the milk, unless you didn’t put in a pod before you started. I like a double shot, so I simply take the frothing lid off after the cycle, put a new pod in, and run it in espresso mode. Simple and very easy clean up!

    First of all, it’s easy to put in your office or cubicle to make wonderful coffee anytime. Do not share this device. you’ll never get it back. My challenge is that I want one at home and one at work. it’s that good. And it makes great coffee and espresso drinks in less than 2 minutes. Easy to use, easy to clean. It’s great. You must purchase Lavazzo “expert” pods with this is the only downside. So you do need to plan a little ahead for replenishment of pods. I saw this at a food show and had to have it.     Easy to set up and operate right out of the box. Coffee pods must be Lavazza which don’t seem to be available in local stores but readily available on line.
    Coffee is rich and smooth, much improved over K-cup brews. Milk drinks are cleverly made in the supplied glass cup, but we weren’t able to get much milk froth using oat milk. Tomorrow morning I”ll try dairy milk as the manufacturer recommends.

    I absolutely love this machine! It’s totally NOT a Keurig for espresso. The machine is slick, modernly beautiful, with a feel of twice it’s price. It works perfectly and easily produces perfect cups of espresso and milk based espresso drinks. Definitely get this version with the sample coffees and the extra milk frother vessel! Speaking of which, that thing is magic! I absolutely love it. I bought this machine because it makes one of the highest rated espresso shots which is all I really cared about. But then I tried the frother vessel. . . Wow. Easily one of the coolest things in my kitchen. It makes a perfect cup of macchiato, cappuccino, or a latte. If you’re worried about it coming from a different seller, don’t. I had the opportunity to contact them because UPS mixed my tracking numbers and the responded immediately, friendly and accurately. They gave me the information I needed and answered any questions. Excellent customer service. I don’t like writing too much. I could go on and on, but just know that I’m just thrilled with this beautiful machine. After months of research and tough decisions I’m so glad I went with Lavazza!

Bought this as Christmas present for my daughter, then we ended spending hours searching local stores in Duluth MN looking for coffee. We bought the Lavazza lungo capsules and espresso pods (see picture) but they don’t fit. I’m out $50 for open coffee boxes that I cannot return.     I got it for $136 on prime day. Had it been more expensive I’d likely return. The machine works well but the output has quirks. 1. You must pour the output into a secondary cup before drinking if using the milk function. Although this doesn’t seem to impact the quality it feels wrong. 2. The macchiato setting makes a true cappuccino whereas the cappuccino setting is more so like a latte. Though weird I give it 5 stars bc it’s unlikely to find a better milk frother than this one even if it does require pouring.

    This was for my husband but it smelled and looked great and he said it was excellent! He had the decaf espresso. We have an old Mr Coffee (honestly for the price it’s been a beast for years) but we wanted something for the travel trailer. Something quieter (check!) one with pods so we wouldn’t have to deal with the mess of packing grounds (check!) and one that would foam the milk itself (check!).. as a bonus this one doesn’t suck up the milk into any parts/mechanism like our other one does, so we don’t have to worry about milk getting gross up in there where we can’t see or manually clean.     I’ve been using Lavazza for years and had one of their big machines that worked flawlessly for 10 years. Then I’ve decided to buy a new house and the movers broke my old Lavazza coffee machine. I came on coffeemakers.us.com and when I’ve looked at the pictures for this newer one I thought: “No way this machine will do Cappuccinos like my old one”. But since I love the Lavazza Coffe and needed something smaller, I decided to give it a try. WOW… This new cup technology is just amazing! The Lattes and Cappuccinos are way better than the ones I’ve used to do and it is a push of a button! And no more machine to clean up after (like the old one). This worked so great that it immediately caused a good problem. Everyone in my family immediately wanted their own cups because they’ve loved it (and could not wait for me to finish drinking mine to do theirs). So my advice to you is: – Buy it! It is an amazing machine and Lavazza Coffee is delicious! – Get extra cups (super cheap) when you place your order. If you don’t live alone, you will need it! I almost never write reviews on coffeemakers.us.com (too busy and never impressed enough to do it). But being able to do an amazing Cappucino every morning effortlessly drove me to write this one.

    After months of research and loving the Lavazza coffee what doesn’t irritate my stomach bit the bullet and ordered it. Love that it makes cappuccinos vs Nespresso and adding the milk frother. Now 1 observation is that water collects in the pod dispenser and I don’t get why is does that and sometimes the espresso capsule light blinks orange even if I already inserted the pod. I am sure I can figure it out why I have these 2 issues but value for the money YES! The noise level is the same as to any of my other machines I had. Will order a 2nd one for my office.

    We’ve had this for several months now, and it continues to perform flawlessly. It’s a pleasure to operate, with the ease of loading a new capsule, the smooth-swinging arm that charges the capsule, the auto-detection of the cappuccino attachment, and one-button operation all combining for an outstanding user experience. Dumping the waste capsule catcher is a breeze, and it’s inclusion means you don’t have to get annoyed by someone having left a capsule in the machine that you have to extract before you can use it – The previous capsule is pushed out of the way as you load the new one. It’s very solid and weighty, and it doesn’t make a great deal of noise, even sitting on a hollow cabinet. I wouldn’t call it quiet, but it’s definitely quieter than the burr grinder I have for fresh beans. The coffee capsules are very affordable, and the coffee is outstanding (it comes in a variety of flavors and intensities, and I’m still working my way through all of the alternatives.) And making cappuccino at home is just plain fun. 🙂 If you really enjoy coffee, and don’t want to spend the vast sums apparently needed for a dedicated cappuccino machine, this is an excellent alternative.

    Try to call them and no answers.
    I did a video to show how bad is the machine.
    Unfortunately Lavazza have a good coffe but a very bad quality of machine and customer services.
    I purchase more than 200 capsules, that I have to get away. This is shame.
    I will not purchase anymore Lavazza, I will purchase other brands that have better customer service and local representatives!!!
    Don’t advise to purchase this machine or same capsules.

    I originally looked at the Lavazza Blue Classy Mini and then saw the Extra Classy Plus for cheaper than the Mini. I’ve had a higher end K-cup machine as well as a pump driven Gaggia Classic espresso machine. I’ve never had a machine like this and it works flawlessly. After using all 3, I’ll stick with the Lavazza Classy Plus. Just as good of espresso without the mess of cleanup of a dedicated espesso machine. I was concerned that the frother top lid would be some cheap plastic. However, I saw that it was of a semi-flexible thick rubbery plastic and it is not brittle. The machine works flawlessly. Even my wife, who does not drink coffee, was impressed that I could make a macchiato with almond milk in less than 1 minute. Setup is easy, the machine is very sleek, very quiet and puts out coffee bar quality coffee. I also made my first espresso lungo with the push of a button. It still had a thick Crema on top. The other thing I like about this particular brand is the low cost of their coffee. It is much cheaper per capsule than K-Cup or Nespresso. You’re able to get top notch espresso of a very similar quality as a coffee bar for around 30 cents per shot. To me, that is just a great deal. Right now, coffeemakers.us.com has an incredible deal on this machine. I think it was $138. Heck, the Mini Blue which only does shots of espresso is $178! Why not get the larger machine that can do so many other drinks, is able to use both Lavazza Blue or Extra capsules and also has a much larger water tank? I do not regret this purchase at all. Beautiful machine! BTW, the handle is metal, mechanism is smooth and the sidewalls are of a glossy deep blue. VERY pretty on the countertop.

    Still loving this machine after 6 weeks of daily use. Great money saver for excellent cappuccinos and espresso. Regular coffee steering is also very good. Much better than k cups. Can’t remember the last time I picked up coffee instead of making my own. The coffee and milk based drinks are cafe quality. I was a little concerned about coffee quality as I am used to using fresh ground beans. I got rid of a Gaga Titainm super automatic espresso machine because it took up to much counter space and I never could master the foam making. Went to a coffee press, grinder and foam maker – to many appliances out and was a hassle. Saw this and bam! Just the ticket! Takes minimal space. Easy to use, clean looking and makes great coffee. The pods are still cheaper than going to a cafe for espresso and milk based drinks.
