   The silver paint will bubble and peel from the moisture of the machine brewing and then the little flakes of paint fall into the coffee. I noticed today there was a lot in my coffee after I poured it into the cup. So this is going in the trash.    Old OLD 5-cup maker on/off switch shorted out. Replacement with same brand / model not available for weeks. NEEDED COFFEE. This seemed a reasonable choice. Even had extra feature the old one didn’t, drip stop to remove pot to get coffee before brew cycle is complete. So, what’s wrong with it? – Drip stop ALWAYS drips a puddle of coffee onto hot plate. Doesn’t matter whether pot pulled out while brewing or WELL AFTER brewing complete. Seems as if it must catch some coffee and it stays in the drip stop waiting for pot to be pulled out so it can spill onto plate. – Pot spout ALWAYS drips coffee while pouring. The spout is very narrow and shallow and has a deep curve back toward the body of the pot. No matter how slowly I start the pour surface tension ALWAYS pulls coffee back to the side of the pot at beginning of pour and then it drips down the pot and stains/wets anything the pot is set down on. Pouring quickly to beat the surface tension doesn’t work because the spout is too narrow and shallow. Pouring quickly just causes coffee to contact the lid and go all over the place. – Narrow reservoir fill area and apparatus in fill area makes for splashing water on counter if not slow and careful filling reservoir. Viewed from top the coffee maker is basically two different size circles connected by two lines that are tangent to each circle. The circle over the coffee pot is the larger one. The circle over the reservoir is the smaller one. The coffee maker narrows at the reservoir where it needs to be filled and has stuff obstructing the fill area. Used it for a while, about a week now, to be sure I wasn’t unhappy just because is “different” than my old one. That’s not it. Didn’t have these problems with old one. And, even though old one didn’t have drip stop, was enough room to slide out pot and slide in cup to catch brewing coffee and then fill cup with coffee already in pot then slide cup out and pot back in without getting coffee all over hot plate. Replacing this coffee maker. 🙁

   We ordered a 5 cup Mixpresso to replace our old 5 cup Black + Decker, when we couldn’t find a replacement carafe. Mixpresso is okay; it’s got a good price, but the description exaggerates it’s features. – There is no water window like you can see on the Black + Decker model on the left. The “water window” on the Mixpresso is just a glass carafe. – The measurements are on the side of the carafe handle. There are also measurements inside the body of the coffee maker, but you can only see them if you shine a bright light inside, because the numbers are black on black. – The “Keep-Warm Function” isn’t a setting – it just means there’s not an automatic shut off. The machine will run hot enough to keep the coffee warm. After I made my first cup, steam continued to billow out from the top of the coffeemaker, so I quickly shut it off rather than risk overheating the parts. TL;DR: Good cheap coffee pot, but it doesn’t really have a water window or a keep warm function as described.

   I drink 2 cups of coffee in the morning that’s it however I have a group about 12 people that come over every Sunday and sound like coffee so I got this 12 cup coffee pot as you can see in the picture the plate that keeps the coffee warm has been pushed in And doesn’t keep coffee warm . I would not recommend this as a good purchase.. Cheap product…maybe used 6 times.

   I ordered the 8 cup because I wanted ability to program it so it turns on in the morning by itself. The display is very, very tiny, but if you’re someone that doesn’t care about a clock and just wants to be able to program a small coffee maker, this coffee maker is for you. It’s small, convenient, and does exactly what I need it to do. The plastic on top feels a bit flimsy, but it closes securely. It brews a full pitcher in about 5-10 minutes and the coffee strength depends on how much coffee you put into the convenient reuseable filter that comes with it. All in all, very pleased with this coffee maker.

    Really like this coffee pot. Has some cool functions and choices. The only problem I have is you can not just turn it on to keep it warming. Once the time has ended on the warmer, you have to pour and redrip coffee. There is no way to just turn it on without making more coffee.

    This is a very simple coffee maker. This is a good purchase if you just want something simple and easy to make your coffee. That’s exactly why i got it. The only thing that frustrated me was that when i was pouring my coffee in my coffee cup, a little spilled out from the sides. Not that serious but a heads up if it happens to you.     Agree with comments it’s cheap and nasty looking, but couldn’t use it as wrong voltage for UK.

    At $25, I didn’t have any high expectations. Functionally, the product is adequate. Brews rather slowly, but the coffee is fine. The problem is the poor quality carafe. The glass is wafer thin, and hyper-delicate. After three days of use, the carafe broke apart in the dishwasher. To be clear, it was in the upper rack, on the energy-saver cycle, with the heated dry setting turned OFF. These were one hour, low temp, wash cycles with open-door air drying…nothing harsh. Upon searching for replacement carafes, with an average price of $33, more than the price of a new machine; I can only conclude that this product is intentionally designed to fail.

    First off, this coffee maker brews acceptable coffee. But it has a design flaw that exposes any user to steam burns. Please see my image of the steam billowing out the front of the coffee maker. Explanation: There are three large and three small vent holes at the front of the lid of this coffee maker. When the maker has finished “dripping” the water from its tank onto the grounds, a significant amount of steam then issues from the “drip head”. Of course the drip head is attached to the bottom surface of the lid of the coffee maker. All of this steam exits out the vent holes in the front of the lid. If one decides to remove the carafe from the coffee maker at this point, one’s immediate reaction is to hold the top of the coffee maker to make sure you don’t just drag the whole coffee maker forward. This is when you BURN your fingers. I hasten to add that the steam is NOT any where near as visible as this picture makes it look. I used a flash to highlight it. This poorly visible steam problem is made worse by the fact that the bottom of the coffee maker has four small hard plastic feet molded into the bottom. These feet provide NO resistance on a counter surface. The maker just slides around, forcing you to hold the top coffee maker to remove the carafe. coffeemakers.us.com should ban this coffee maker.

    33 days after getting the coffee maker (missing the coffeemakers.us.com return period) our carafe (coffee pot) broke. I was holding it by the handle to pour coffee and the glass shattered where the handle is attached. I contacted mixspresso about this and the only response was they do not sell parts. It made coffee until this point just fine, but the buttons are difficult to press, I had to hold the backside of the coffee maker in order to press the buttons hard enough to turn them on.

    I bought the 5 Cup coffee maker for my office and it makes the perfect amount to fill my YETI Rambler. This is easy to use and is a decent quality for the price. The box it came in says it’s a 6 cup machine, but it’s not – it is 5 cups as is advertised. I would highly recommend this product if you’re looking for something simple for your office in order to obtain your coffee fix!

    my coffee pot went up, one that had a timer that would shut off after two hours which was great so I didn’t forget but this one stays on will have to remember to shut it off when done but love the coffee is always hot and right when I want a cup, delivery was fast so I’m satisfied all the way round, not to mention price was right, was not looking for something fancy just practical daily use so this does the job.

    I am not a coffee drinker so purchased this for Thanksgiving guests. Machine worked 3 times and then problems. First was coffee filter filling up with water and no coffee dispensed, then smoke on top of machine. I contacted coffeemakers.us.com but since post return window unable to help (??? really). Then contacted manufacturer who required video to review claim. Wasn’t able to upload due to size. Subsequent problem with water tank leaking all over. I sent pictures but manufacturer says video is required, which I am unable to upload. Do not buy from this company, they will not honor returns, etc. despite defective product.

    So, I bought this to replace a single serving coffee maker. First one arrived next day. Within one hour I had a replacement shipped because the first one leaked like crazy. It was worth the wait. Coffee from this tastes so much better than the single serve pod machines. Even the ones you put the grinds in. It’ll make 5 cups. There are measurements on the tiny pot handle and inside the machine itself. As a warning, I haven’t tested it but I don’t believe this will shut itself down after X amount of time. There is however a thermal switch in the bottom that *should* prevent catastrophes. (coffeemakers.us.com if you’re reading this I totally didn’t disassemble it and void my warranty.😏) On the bright side, you can put it on a smart socket and have Alexa start it in the morning. This unit takes 7 minutes to brew 5 cups. It starts perculating in about 1.5 minutes. Did I mention how cute the tiny coffee pot is? Ohh those reviews with the shattered pots… The pot is thin glass. Do not change the temperature too quickly or leave it on the hot plate (bottom of coffee maker) too long with no fluid in it. I wouldn’t expect any issues applying a little common sense. I’ll update this if it begins giving me problems, but at this point I think I’ll get one for work too.

    All I wanted was a normal, basic, full-sized, reliable coffeemaker that just had an on/off switch. No touchscreens with endless options, LEDs, and alarms. That was the main reason I bought this specific model. It arrived today. I washed it out, filled it up with water and my normal coffee ratio of 1 heaping scoop to every four cups of water. I turned it on. It started brewing IMMEDIATELY. I mean, not like I walked into the other room and heard it start brewing soon. I mean, I turned on the switch, and it immediately started brewing. I stepped away to do something else for five minutes, and when I came back, it was already done. All 12 cups of coffee. A full pot of coffee. It was also pretty quiet. No hissing or screaming. And, it tastes delicious. I mentioned my personal coffee ratio above, and anyone who knows anything about brewing coffee knows that the temperature that you brew it at makes a big difference, and, while I don’t know what temperature this coffeemaker is brewing the coffee at, it’s apparently the exact correct temperature for hot-brewed coffee. Anyway, this seems to be a good, solid, productive coffeemaker. No extra whistles and streamers. Just a machine that brews good coffee. ‘Nuff said.

    I prefer cone-style machines, and they’ve become increasingly rare. It’s cheaply constructed, but it does work well and makes great coffee. I didn’t have to make any adjustments to water or coffee amounts compared to a 12-cup machine I have. And the decanter isn’t flimsy as some claim, compared to previous small coffee makers I’ve owned, and doesn’t spill coffee from the spout if you lift the lid a little while pouring. I hope it lasts.

    It does not have a clock, programming feature, or even auto shutoff. Any of those, especially the latter, would be a dealbreaker for many. I don’t mind: I have had other simple, basic coffeemakers and I plug them into a timer that can be set for 6 different On times from 15 minutes to 6 hours. I push the 2 hours button and that solves the shutoff worries for me.

    This uses cone filters, which I prefer. It can also be used with just its fine mesh filter. I set the paper filter in the mesh filter. It’s easy to remove either or both for cleaning. The carafe is a bit thicker glass than I am used to. The coffee pours easily without spilling. The drip shutoff works as well as any I’ve used, better than some. And the coffee is good and hot.

    I ordered a 10 cup model, but got an 8 cup model that is different from the 8 cup (more complicated) model that is in the pictures on the coffeemakers.us.com product page. These errors are not good things, but I decided to keep this and not bother with a return.

    I bought this because I only make 3 “cups” at a time, or about half of the small coffee pot. The industry standard 6 oz coffee “cup”, not the mugs that most of us use in the real world. I like the #2 cone filters for making small amounts of coffee. I think they work better than the basket type filters for that purpose. That’s what this maker uses. I haven’t used the permanent filter, so can’t comment on that. It makes pretty good coffee. I do need to use a flashlight to see the “3 cup” embossed marking deep in the black molded plastic reservoir when filling with water. It’s pretty flimsy, but haven’t broken anything yet. It **needs** an auto shutoff. It does not have one. It will happily burn your coffee all day if you forget about it. The burner plate turns into a mess pretty fast. But yes, it does make good coffee.

    Let me start off by saying the box arrived a little damaged, and I did find two broken pieces of plastic in the box. I’m not sure why, because I inspected the Dickens out of this machine and everything looks just fine… Nothing seems to be broken or chipped off anywhere, and the pieces don’t seem to be broken off of anything of importance… Weird. lol I’m not sure if that was just a faux pa on the manufacturer’s part. That’s why I’m only giving 4 stars. I did run some water through a few times before I brewed some coffee, as the instructions indicate. No leaks! 🙂 By the way… This machine brews a mean cup of coffee! It’s delicious, and I love that I don’t have to buy paper filters any longer. It comes with a basket within a basket. The basket inside the main basket is the filter. Wash, rinse and reuse — Yes, please. lol The plastic is nice and shiny, no scratches, and the lid that closes over the coffee baskets snaps shut, which is a nice touch. It even came with a cute little black scooper (photo)! I also LOVE that I don’t have to wait for the entire pot to brew before I can have a cup of coffee! If there is enough in the pot to pour a cup, I can quickly pour it, then place the pot back under to finish brewing. My old one didn’t do that. I would definitely recommend this product!

    Really nice coffee machine, the reusable filter is the main reason i bought this to be a little more eco friendly and good for budget too. The only issue is that if you pour a bit too quickly, it will pour down the coffee pot, so pour slowly. Otherwise, really good.
