   Came in a bag, not a box. Thought that was strange. Open it up and their coffee grinds in it. And the top is discolored with coffee stains. I have been using a French press for years and know what stains look like. Unprofessional, gross & dishonest. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY THIS. I AM DISGUSTED!!!!

   This product is advertised as 27 oz capacity. Obviously with grounds added it will brew less than that, but a full pot brewed exactly 16 ounces, which is basically half of what it was advertised as. It’s nice that it’s double walled for insulation but i wanted to brew two travel cups at a time, not one.

   Like other reviewers, I agree the ounces listed are exaggerated. I was able to safely fill the pot with 22-23 ounces. Anymore would cause a mess when the plunger was pushed down. Water stays hot for 20 min or more but be careful, the metal lid and plunger head will be hot and unsafe to touch with bare hands. When used within 5 min the lid is warm but not hot. Didn’t find double screens as advertised. Just one. Love the color Had it seven days and the paint is already scraping off the bottom. I hand wash it and air dry it. Frustrated

   I was very happy and impressed about this French press but after a month or so using it i noticed there was something in the temp gauge and in fact it is a brownish liquid that is in gauge and there’s no way i can get it clean. I have no idea how it got there but im assuming is the steam that gets in there due to a poor gauge seal ? IDK . unfortunately i can’t return it bc the returning window date is closed already . If you buy this French press maybe you should get the one without a temp gauge to avoid steam leaking into it.

    UPDATE: LOOK WHAT HAPPENED ! Hot dish water (I wash by hand!) Caused the “copper” to peel off! So disappointed, loved the copper, would have just purchased the stainless steel if I would have known this was going to happen. Rated it a 5, but downgraded to a 3 because of this. Coffee inside is still awesome and hot tho. After years of using my gifted glass French press, and one too many 2nd cups of lukewarm coffee, I finally purchased an insulated fr. press. And I am ecstatically happy i did! As I journal alongside that 1st cup, i sometimes get distracted and let that second cup sit. No matter, it’s now just as warm as the first. Why ever did it take me so long? Easy to clean and I love the smart copper look.

    As you can see, it, just not come in a gift giving box, but it is heavyweight and insulated. With hot coffee inside it does not feel very warm on the outside. Husband said it taste the same as coffee through our Keurig. He is taking this to work where he can make coffee easily.

    I researched a lot for the perfect size, color and matte finish and thought I had found THE ONE. However, the lid sounds like it’s scraping metal on metal, which it is, but that’s not such a big deal. However, the black paint has started to peel off and I am finding it in my coffee mug, on the counter or on bits of food – so, it’s a no unless you want it as a very short term purchase. I did contact the seller and they were quick to respond but had the One Year Warantee for a reason. 🙁

    Beautiful seafoam color. Brews great. I appreciate that it keeps my coffee hot longer than my previous glass French press. No worries about a glass carafe dislodging from the metal holder anymore. Only thing I would change is I’d like if it came with an additional screen filter. But it is my favorite press. Had it for a while now and it’s going strong. I hand wash it to protect the colorful outside coating from getting scratched around the sides. I’d recommend.

    I want to start off this review by stating the TL;DR (too long, don’t want to read):
    1. the product is far better than advertised
    2. it’s a bit tricky to “spit shine” clean, and really polish it, but for everyday use who cares
    3. use a bit of vinegar mixed with water (like 1:25) or use stainless steel polish once in a while to really buff to a shine!

    Larger, sturdier and more gorgeous than I could have imagined. A little tricky to keep it “buffed and shiny” 100% of the time with the stainless steel becoming kind of “finger-printed”, a simple buffing with vinegar and a buffing towel, or some stainless steel polish like Mothers Aluminum and Stainless Steel Polish will really do the job (but that’s usually not necessary).

    The best thing, however, aside from its immeasurable beauty is its rather striking ability to keep the coffee/liquid hot for a relatively long time (1-2 hours) because of its double-walled insulation. Once you push the top down, you can twist the lid to open or close the spout to keep heat in or to pour! See pics!

    As a French press, it makes good coffee and keeps it warm for an extended amount of time. However, aesthetically the color wrap that was used to give it a copper color started peeling off after a little over a year of owning it. It’s always hand washed so it shouldn’t be peeling the way it is now.

    My photo shows metal residue not coffee from the press handle. The interior I’ve wiped with my fingers, no metal residue. I stopped using the press handle for one that is stainless steel… Your drinking metal… We swapped out the top from another glass press and it fits.

    Not happy with the size. It may be 27 Oz to the top, but no usable. I measured and it’s 24 Oz to the tip (see picture) but have to deduct the space that the coffee grains and filters take, you end up with about 20 Oz of coffee. Not enough for 2 regular size cups. It does keep the coffee hot for a while and it’s beautiful, but not practical for us.

    I have use this press for about a week now and I have to say it’s probably the best one I’ve had. Beautiful design, sturdy construction -doesn’t feel flimsy at all- it keeps the coffee at temp till you are ready. The coffee is very smooth from it, no grittiness like the last brands I used.     We love this french press. Here are some of our thoughts on the product.
    Pros:
    +goog quality
    +price was good
    +love the insulation (keeps coffee warmer longer)
    +lid-nice quality that keeps things insulated
    +handle-nice and sturdy
    Con:
    -The only possible con is that the size is small. It really is only enough for 1.5 to 2 mugs of coffee.
    Conclusion:
    We are glad that we purchased this press. However, we will probably get a larger one in the future.
