   (second photo is a size reference) I buy the “Dunkin cold” grounds and use it with the scoop provided by the coffee machine and it comes out PERFECTLY. I use international delight “sweet and creamy” and I swear it’s amazing (my normal Dunkin order is just iceed coffee cream and sugar but they have the syrups at the grocery store if you like a bit of flavor) a friend of mine suggested this thing to me and YASSSSS. I bought a second one to keep at work.    Short answer, I love the Mr. Coffee Iced Coffee maker and you should buy one too. I probably pulled up the coffeemakers.us.com page for this coffee maker once a week and talked myself out of buying it, over and over. I can go to the coffee shop. I can buy Iced coffee from the grocery store. But, that was getting expensive. So, I finally bought this on sale (about $25), and it was completely worth it. Just find a ground coffee that works for you and this will be your new best friend. Also, I’m the only one in my household that drinks coffee and I don’t drink hot coffee, so this was absolutely perfect for me. If you do drink both, Mr. Coffee has an iced coffee maker that also does hot coffee. it’s a little more pricey, but I’m sure it’s just as awesome.

   Purchased to replace previous one, only difference was color. The first one lasted 2 years – daily use. Brews quickly – 3 minutes ish (took almost 8 minutes near end of life), the design is small doesn’t take much space on counter. Lightweight.    Loved that out of the box it has everything you need but water and coffee. I been digging on Kona lately. After following the cleaning instructions I then put this to use. Ground the beans and I prefer 1.5 scoops of beans to get that correct flavor. Fill up the water to the fill line, set in your mesh filter, then add coffee beans of your choice, add ICE in the provided cup, plug it in and press the led button to start. Flip your drain over to allow it to flow and wait. About 3 mins and you are ready to add in flavoring and go. Such an amazing little machine and it blows away Kcup options without the added plastic waste. Will report back later on the durability of the unit but build quality seems really good so far. Highly recommend if you love iced coffee without the trendy coffee shop cost.

   This is a decent coffee maker but for the price you’ve got to be realistic. So for all the wishful thinkers (like I was), no, the coffee does not magically come out cold. It’s not brewed quit as hot as a normal coffee maker but it’s definitely warm and will melt most of the ice if you follow the directions they provide. I recommend doing this instead: – brew the coffee as directed but omit putting ice in the cup – leave it to sit until it reaches room temperature or put it in the fridge if you need it quicker – add ice (it only fills the cup half way so you shouldn’t get splashed) So yes, it does make iced coffee, it’s just not as instant as advertised but the filter and cup are pretty good quality, so I am happy with it and will continue using it 🙂

Pushed in button, Start light came on. In seconds it started brewing. I was impressed ! Made a tumbler of tea. (Actually split it 2 ways) Sunday morning, go to make a tumbler of tea. Add the water, tea in basket, ice in cup and placed ready to go. Push the button NOTHING. More of a pain to clean and pack up for return. Expensive tumbler but hey…

    I love this little machine, I got it discounted at $20 and for both the machine and the cup it comes with that’s a steal. However, if you’re like me and have a Starbucks tumbler addiction, be aware that Starbucks venti tumblers are slightly taller than the tumbler the machine comes with and “just” too tall to use under the machine as-is. You need to give the machine just a little more height for use with a Starbucks tumbler. I have mine on a rolling stand so that it can be pushed away to give me more counter space, it adds about an inch of extra height which is perfect.

    This coffee maker is easy to use but I was unaware that you have to take the whole top half of the unit off in order to fill it with water. It’s not a big deal except if there is still moisture inside, it will drip all over the place.

    This coffee maker has served me well for a few months but a few weeks after I received it the button started to loosen up. I am not hard on it or abuse it. Now finally the button decided to become recessed into the housing. It’s a simple fix if you have the hex screwdriver you need to open the housing and realign the button but that shouldn’t be the case. No one buys a product to have to do repairs on it. They want it to work for a reasonable amount of time without needing a repair. I will never buy a Mr coffee product again. I have owned several of their coffee makers ever since I received one as a gift but this was the last straw.

    Ok so here’s the low down on this coffee maker. Comes with a plastic tumbler that’s also doubles as your measuring guide for water and ice. The coffee does come out hot BUT it’s a slow drip over the ice making it cold. Since it comes out hot, the ice is pretty much melted at the end but there’s still room to add more if you want. I used a dark espresso roast (black silk by Folgers) and it tasted great! Didn’t taste watered down at all. Easy to use. Only took a couple mins to brew. I personally think it tastes better than if you were to just make a pot of coffee and let it cool off then pour it over ice. This tastes stronger in my opinion. Overall I like it. Is it maybe a little over kill? Probably…but you can’t go wrong with a good iced coffee!

    I had this coffee maker previously in black. It lasted about 18 months and quit working. I ordered this one last week to replace it and when there was a color choice of red I picked that since my other small appliances are red but as you can clearly see it’s not red. It’s not maroon or burgundy. It is PURPLE. If I would have known it was going to be purple I would have chosen the black one like I previously had. As far as the product itself I do love it. I like that it comes with a coffee scoop and the filter is washable. It includes a clear cold coffee cup for use with a straw. The cup is marked with a water fill line for measuring how much water to use in the maker and also an ice line for filling the cup. The markings are a little hard to read and I wish the cup was not clear as after a year of use it became quite stained. I would recommend this product but heads up on the color choices.

    I’m enjoying my first delicious glass of iced coffee from this machine. It’s SO GOOD! We replaced our old Keurig after having it for many years. Well, the new Keurigs do not make 4 oz. cups of coffee and I couldn’t find a way around that. So my iced coffee has been watered down and totally unenjoyable for months until I finally found this. I saw many reviews saying their ice totally melted. Our cubes are not very small but they’re nowhere near large and I still have plenty of ice in my beverage. The cup is very nice. It’s sturdy and large. We live in Florida so I drink iced coffee pretty much every day. Overall, I think I’m going to enjoy this iced coffee machine for a long time.

    This coffee maker was just what I wanted. Being used to having the Ninja coffee bar and it’s iced drinks around at my mom’s house, I wanted to have my own iced coffee maker so I could fuel my iced coffee addiction in a more cost effective way. This coffee maker fits the bill. So far it has been working great. I know lots of people have had issues with it, but so far mine is working fine. The coffee comes out tasting good (I don’t use the scoop at all though, I use as much as I think I need for strong coffee. The coffee basket is fairly big so it’s not a problem.) I don’t keep mine plugged in, and only plug it in when I’m ready to run the brewing cycle, then unplug it as soon as it’s done and leave it that way until the next time I use it. Definitely don’t keep this machine plugged in. I also don’t have an issue with the ice all melting. I use large ice cubes and there are plenty left when the coffee is done brewing. Of course the coffee doesn’t come out cold, the coffee still has to brew! You can’t brew coffee quickly with cold water, it needs to be hot unless you’re making cold brew, which requires much more time. The machine brews stronger coffee and then the ice cools it. Yeah it waters it down a little, but ice will melt either way. Just add more coffee.

    This is the second time I’ve purchased this product. The first time I purchased it, I bought it in store and that one was perfect. I ordered this one from coffeemakers.us.com and first of all the cup that came with it was defective because the inner wall of the insulation was filling up with water without any visible cracks in the cup and not able to get the water out. I only had it for 4 months and it quit working. The button would light up but it wouldn’t stay lit. So I held the start button down and the machine caught on fire. So for anyone wondering, don’t do that lol.

    I bought this machine 2 months ago and have really loved it. Makes wonderful coffee. Here’s the problem and reason I didn’t give 5 stars: the top of the cup has little holes that allow liquid to get inside but no way to clean it. It is forming mold after just 2 months and a replacement cup is $25 on coffeemakers.us.com. The cost of the machine!!! Disappointed with the cup design. Not practical for keeping it clean.

    UPDATED… 1st maker “on” button dislocated INSIDE maker body in less than 3 weeks of once daily use.. returned for replacement. 2nd maker on button dislocated inside maker body within 2 days. Kept the 2nd, but use a screwdriver to push the metal “on button” the plastic button was covering. Great brew, horrible design. Avoid buying what could be a wonderful product with better design. “Iced coffee” maker? yup! Does the ice melt as the hot brew drips on it? yes, some. Does it make a great cup of COLD coffee with which to then season/make as I wish! Yes! With flavored syrup, half & half and a splash of 2% plus adding a few more ice cubes for keeping it cold longer – this makes my favorite iced coffee/latte of all time!

    Update: After using this quite a few times, I would recommend this product. Yes, most of the ice melts before it’s done brewing, but the cup is very insulated for a plastic cup and keeps the drink cold for a long time. I will be keeping it after all. It does a good job for the money.

    Original: I was a little skeptical, but this got great reviews and Mr. Coffee is a great name so I tried it. Machine is nice enough. Easy instructions and easy to use. However, I love my iced coffee full of ice and freezing cold. I’m not sure what kind of ice other reviewers are using, but I used big ice cubes from my fridge maker and filled the tumbler. By the time the coffee was done brewing over it, ALL the ice was melted. I was a bit saddened by this. I would say the drink is definitely cold, but I’m not sure I like the fact that there’s no ice left. Not sure I’ll be keeping this.

    Product is good. It takes about 4 min to make a cup of coffee. Starts off slow but pour picks up. Note: the product does make HOT coffee & eventually cools down by pouring over the ice. So, you will see the ice melt while brewing. It doesn’t make the coffee taste watered down. I use about a scoop & 1/2 full of medium ground coffee. Overall, I’d recommend.
