   I liked the coffee pot while it was working, but it did not last a year. Unfortunately, I was unable to file on the year warranty as I trashed the pot when it stopped working not knowing that to file on the warranty I needed it. The warranty form asks questions that you have to answer directly from the coffee pot. The online form will not allow you to leave blanks.
   UPDATE: I went online to the manufacturer and told them what happened. I provided proof of purchase receipt. Since I was still within the year warranty time frame, I received a new coffee pot.
   I do appreciate the great customer service support.

   April 4, 2025 – replacement coffee pot update: the glass pot cracked. Replacement lasted a year. Just need to order a replacement glass.

   We’ve been Mr. Coffee users since way back when Joe DiMaggio was advertising them on TV. Our most recent one finally gave out after about 15 years of faithful service. The Mr. Coffee® Simple Brew 12-Cup Switch Coffee Maker was the perfect replacement: no frills, no timers or blinking clocks, just a simple on-off switch. Also, the basket seems to be a simpler, more fool-proof design than on the older models. We expect our new Mr. Coffee® Simple Brew 12-Cup Switch Coffee Maker to last a long time. Oh…and the coffee is, well, classic Mr. Coffee!

   As a one button manual coffee maker, it’s great for seniors who struggle with unecessary gadgetry. I bought it for my parents to replace a well used older version of the same model. However after less than 2 months the on/off switch stopped working and I had to purchase another replacement. Im hoping this one holds out longer.

    I love Mr Coffee makers but was looking for a white color with silver trim. When I saw this one I was
    Excited to order. I should have read the description but since I have had Mr Coffee Pots in the past I didn’t feel I needed to. Big mistake on my part. The coffee pot is simple with NO functions on it! This pot does not have an automatic shut off after two hours. I find that not having an automatic shut off could result in a very dangerous situation possibly causing a fire in your home. I am surprised that this pot is even allowed to be
    Purchased. I put this pot in the garbage can so no one hopefully would use it. Very disappointed in Mr Coffee on this one. I don’t recommend this model but love the more functional ones Mr Coffee makes. Unfortunately they are mostly sold in a black color so I had to choose a different company.

    Several days ago, while washing the dishes I dropped the coffee cup, which smashed into the coffee pot. Only the coffee cup survived. I waited 4 long days of no-morning coffee waiting for this to arrive. I am a senior with mobility issues who does not drive so its not like I could just run out an buy one. Once I received this, ran a pot of water through it, and finally made that pot of morning coffee – it was the best coffee I ever had and it was the best coffee maker that ever existed! I now leave the coffee pot on the counter and when all the other dishes have been washed and the sink is empty, only then do I wash the coffee pot. Its pretty basic, which is what I wanted, no bells and whistles, very easy to use. The cord is kinda short but that’s ok by me as when its not in use its easy to tuck the cord behind it. It does have a little cubby hole to put the cord into to but its easier to just to hid it behind the coffee maker. If I had to I would buy again.
