I’ve only ever hand washed this as we don’t even have a dishwasher so for this to happen unfortunately speaks to the quality. Really bummed that this happened!

   I’ve gone through 2 overpour coffee decanters so far. Neither were this brand. This one is now my third and I am very impressed with the durability of the glass. I’ve bonked the spout a couple times already and not even a chip. If you don’t have a handle on your decanter then I’m telling you, you’re missing out. My man loves the handle feature as well. Not only is it nicer to hold the handle rather than holding the neck of the craft, but the spout placement is perfect as well. My only reason for giving 4 stars is because of the filter itself. It filters just fine but the seam of my filter on the inside is slightly open so coffee grounds are always in-between the filter layers no matter how long I spend trying to swish them out in the sink. With that being said, I’ve started using the natural paper filters for over pour coffee makers and that keeps any more grounds from getting invetween the metal filters layers.

   This is soo much more fun than the classic coffee machine, as it adds a soothing element to my morning routine. The screen is shockingly easy to clean, the pour spout I would recommend getting a straw cleaner for because the coffee will stain it after a while, but overall I love this thing. And it really is shatter proof! My toddler literally threw it and despite my midair mini heart attack it hit the ground and bounced in perfect condition! Unreal. This thing is the future.

   Super easy to use and works great. The pour spout works good. No dripping or risk of over pouring and coffee going everywhere. I was disappointed with the measurement lines on the side. They’re not level with the liquid. Like they printed it slightly diagonal. Also the bottom numbers look rubbed off from a crap printing job. The filter is nice and fine. I’ve been using this pot for about a month and it hasn’t rusted so I guess it’s real stainless steel.

    I do like this carafe but it does come with a smaller filter than others and has a flat bottom. Why not just accommodate and supply a universal filter? I was expecting a universal pour over filter would fit and I could also use the others I have. They will technically work but do not fit nicely resting lip-to-lip on the rim and wobble a bit. Still I don’t think it would cause a spill, but you want everything to work as you expect when you’re buying. Would be such an easily fix by adding a little height to the top portion. Otherwise works as you’d expect. Glass is thinner than other brands. The bottom of mine seems so thin that when I tapped on it I was afraid I might tap right through it. Thin as tissue paper. If you’re sitting on a stone counter, expect a break sooner than later. I already use a rubber bar mat at our coffee station. Unbreakable brand is misleading if you don’t know what borosilicate glass is—not sure what’s going on there. Measurements seem accurate and this is why I’ll keep. Seems hard to find these with good measurements. I’m generally way more careful with things than most people and hope I can make it last a year before it breaks. Will know to look for these things when it’s time for the next one!

    So the product claims it is unbreakable, which is one of the main reasons I purchased this. However, this was not off my counter, the other day, and as you can see, it is quite breakable.     First one developed a small crack at the end of the spout. The crack got bigger then one day I noticed a chunk of glass missing. By this time it was well past the return date but I figured maybe I hit it on the sink or something so I ordered another one. This one didn’t even make it a month before I noticed a small chip missing at the tip of the spout. I was being extra-careful handling this one to make sure I didn’t cause any damage. I included a photo with the chip highlighted. It’s small, but last time it started as a small defect I ignored then ended up with a square chunk of glass missing from the spout. I kinda wonder where that little chip of glass went… hopefully I didn’t end up pouring it into my coffee and drinking it. Not bothering to return because I already tossed the box, etc. I bought a new pour over coffee maker from a different vendor. Made sure it was not from ‘Unbreakable’ this time around. I would not buy any product from this vendor again. Because of the possibility I could end up drinking a piece of glass I consider them unsafe.

    I was looking for an alternative to a conventional coffee machine because the water going through the system of my machine was never really piping hot and I always ended up with lukewarm coffee. Now, the boiling water from the kettle goes straight into the filter and the result is perfect. About the ‘Flavour’ rating. This depends entirely on the type and amount of coffee and water you use. I got the ratio right and therefore the flavour gets 5 stars as well. I chose this particular coffee pot and filter because it not only looks beautiful, but it is also very easy to clean and doesn’t need paper filters. Great stuff!

    Impossible to clean spout. Most products give you a special cleaning tool but this one doesn’t. It doesn’t keep coffee hot for very long. The connection between the body and the handle is poor. If I were to keep using it I’m sure it would break soon. Had to buy a new one that I could clean.

    I really missed the mark with this one. When I would pour over – unless I was very careful- liquid would pour out the top.. and then I just tapped the carafe on the coffee mug and it broke off.     I don’t normally write reviews. As an overall product design, I like it, and it works well, however, there is a problem with the silk screening on the glass which overtime gets wiped away. The manufacturer of this item needs to use better silk screening methods that are reliable because I literally had to use a Sharpie on the left-hand side of the graphics that shows how many scoops of coffee are required. On the right hand side, which shows the milliliter contents is now starting to wipe away as well.

    I must say out of the gate, that this is a delightful product that does everything they say it does. The material quality and workmanship are excellent. Not only attractive and stylish, the design makes coffee brewing simple and convenient. When we break this, we’ll buy a replacement—the product is that good. But beware of the clever “Bait and Switch” marketing. “Unbreakable” is the BRAND NAME, not the durability rating of the glass! Nonetheless, if you examine this glass vessel by holding it up to the light and revolving it, you will see an almost perfect refraction of light with no waviness or inclusions. Likewise the printed measurements are molded into the glass. Add to that, the pouring spout is molded with a no-drip tip (which works!). The same pitcher is offered by other companies at higher pricing, so I’m guessing this product will be on the market for some time. It would make an excellent gift because of its thermal versatility- ie: from coffee to iced tea in 60 seconds (figuratively speaking). For the record, borosilicate is the same glass that laboratory test tubes and original Pyrex were made of. I don’t like the spin this seller put on the term ‘unbreakable’, but I have no doubts about the quality of the product. (Yes, I’m an industrial design engineer of food processing equipment, and NO, I’m not affiliated with this supplier or coffeemakers.us.com.) Update: Feb 17, 2025 – We bought a second one for when the first breaks. Neither of them have broken. We use them every day…have had them both over a year.

    I bought the spout type in September 2023. At that time it was listed as 34 ounce. I found that 27 ounces would be a more honest description (see my first review below) . And behold, the seller actually changed the description to 27 ounces! So happy to report that the seller paid attention. It helps a lot when your buyers are not disappointed and get what you describe. Having said that, I have not raised the stars to 5 because I just broke it. The spout broke when it tipped in the sink. These are made of glass, and no matter how strong the glass, they are not “unbreakable” especially when the spout protrudes out. But, I have very much enjoyed using this maker and it is a terrific value. It is also packaged beautifully so it makes a great gift. I have re-ordered the model without the spout. I don’t that it was available back in September. I like w/o spout better. Takes up less space and easier to store and also less apt to break! ******************* This is an early review, prior to actually using it. This carafe is adorable. Having said that, I dropped a star from the start because the stated 34 oz is deceptive. I got this one to replace a 6 cup Chemex which is described as a 30 ounce decanter. The Chemex bowl is much bigger than this one and yet the “unbreakable” manufacturer says it holds 34 ounces. The difference is that the Chemex 6 cup holds 30 ounces in the bowl of the decanter. I filled up the “unbreakable” using an 8 ounce measuring cup. I managed to pour in 4 cups and 2 additional ounces however the liquid goes high up in the neck and also fills up the spout and literally spills out. A fair description of this is carafe would state 27 ounces, because that is what the bowl holds without flooding the entire carafe.

    I have been on a journey to acquire items that are simple, plastic-free, and eco-conscious. I have also gone down the rabbit hole of how bad standard coffee makers are. All in all, this has been perfect. I boil my water on the stove and pour over coffee straight into my cup. This is super convenient to just add the water from my refrigerator and straight to the stove to boil. I have enjoyed this and am happy with the product and the quality. I also had absolutely no idea this came with a stainless steel strainer for my coffee so that was a pleasant bonus. 10/10 would recommend and I have, to several people. My coworkers and I are now all on the same plastic free coffee maker kick. XD

    I cannot tell you how perfect the coffee is, no grounds. I boil the water in a teakettle. The filter is rinsed down the garbage disposal. The glass stove is set to warm, eight cups.     I had this in my cart for a while and finally decided to get it for prime day, so glad I did! It is a bit smaller than expected but still works great! I really wanted to reduce the amount of waste we were creating with our keurig and this definitely did the trick. I absolutely love the reusable filter, I had zero coffee grounds in my coffee. This will probably produce about 3 regular size cups of coffee, the one I have pictured is my largest cup (about 16oz). It did not come with instructions but it is pretty straight forward. The glass is thick and I’m not worried about breaking it! I poured boiling hot water over the grounds and no problems at all. My favorite feature is the adorable spout, this is the only pour over coffee maker I could find with this feature! The flavor of the coffee is also great, definitely preferred over my keurig pods. Overall very satisfied!

    The entire glass carafe is durable EXCEPT for the bottom. There is a circular spot on the bottom that is paper thin. Incredibly fragile. As you can see from my picture (please excuse my dog. If you’ve ever had a Golden retriever you know they somehow end up in every photo!) the bottom broke off, in nearly a perfect circle, just by applying the smallest amount of pressure from the palm of my hand. Fortunately I wasn’t cut, but I was very shocked that it just shattered while in the palm of my hand. I was putting it away and when I picked it up I placed it in the palm of my hand to grab another dish. When I used both hands to sort of balance the two items (the other being a thin plastic lid) the glass just shattered. Apparently that’s enough to break this unbreakable item. Aside from that circle at the bottom, it actually does seem like very thick glass. So I guess they just don’t worry about the VERY BOTTOM of the carafe. I will return it but it would make kind of a weird candle holder at this point. Anyways, I just thought I’d share. And, Dory my puppy had to help

    If you don’t know what “borosilicate glass” is, it’s the same glass used for lab beakers, those glass cups that typically sit on hot plates with a magnetic stirring tab on the bottom spinning the fluid. Some people here have complained about the glass being thin, but that’s intentional. It needs to be thin to overcome stress from “thermal shock” (extreme, rapid temperature changes that normally would shatter glass), and despite being thin it’s still rather tough; mine gets bounced around a lot and takes it well, but it’s probably still a good idea to treat it like it’s glass… cause it is. The real champ here is the filter. Coffee grounds don’t get stuck in the outer filter holes, because the inner stainless steel mesh is “fine” enough to prevent that, so there’s no need to blast hot water at it from the outside to kick out crap from the inside, you can just put water into it, dump (repeat 1 or 2 times until it’s clean) then dry it, HOWEVER, coffee particles can slowly build up on the bottom over long periods of time (like 6 months to a year), but you can easily clean that crap out with vinegar. The rubber that sits on the metal grip of the filter honestly sucks at staying on, but I don’t want rubber (that’s made of who knows what) near my coffee anyway, so I just tossed it. To date, I’ve never had problems with getting burned from touching the metal grip after finishing a pour because the steel is thin enough for heat to dissipate plenty fast. As far as daily cleaning goes, personally my hands are too big to reach down into the based of the kettle to hand-clean it, but most simple cleaning brushes overcome that. One recommendation is getting a smaller flexible brush that can fit inside the neck, so consider picking one of those up with your purchase here if you don’t already have one.

    It’s adorable but the glass is a lot thinner and lighter than I would have expected from something deemed unbreakable in the title. I’m 100% certain that claim is 100% false – it’s way too thin to be unbreakable; I’m not sure if it’s borosilicate or not, and not sure where it gets the claimed “thickened” unless it means like thickened from being paper thin LOL (ok it’s not THAT bad but definitely not comparable with other borosilicate glass kitchen items I’ve seen).

    I also got a cheaper filter that’s just one that sits on top of a mug and for whatever reason, that other filter seems to work better and the coffee is more flavorful with it than with this one, and that’s been consistent over several uses.

    Overall, this is super cute and does work exactly as it claims, and as thin as it is, it did not break in transit – it was very well packed inside its box luckily. So, it absolutely does work and it’s easy to pour out your coffee, but avoid it if you have anyone in your household that tends to break things easily or if you have children that might knock it over. It doesn’t seem like it will be very long-lasting since the glass is so very thin, which is the reason for the lost star.

    This may be unbreakable but I haven’t tried to break it. The glass and feels like it would break easily, if you tried to. Works great for making coffee though. I like the spout. Makes it easy to pour coffee into my coffee cup. Sometimes I pour it into my coffee mug. It works well for either. I typically add creamer to my coffee after I pour it into my coffee cup and/or mug. Then I drink the coffee. It usually tastes good, unless I use a flavored coffee I don’t like the taste of. After I’m done drinking the coffee out of my coffee cup or mug. I clean my coffee cup or mug. Then I clean the unbreakable pour over coffee maker. That is some what cumbersome if you don’t have a brush that can reach the bottom of the pour over coffee maker. I don’t really drink a lot of coffee though.

    This carafe was great for pour over coffee that is pourable without being finished with the steep and train process. That’s why I gave it the star I did. The reason I bought it was because it says unbreakable. Well it definitely broke while just washing it in the sink. Just tapped the side of the sink and broke. Do not recommend buying this if you want something unbreakable.

    We have had this coffee maker for less than 4 months and today the spout decided to snap off with a very dangerous jagged edge. This item was not dropped on the floor I simply picked it up to pour it! I’m so disappointed and wish I could get my money back for this product.
