   I like that it comes with a measuring cup that shows how much coffee (ground) is recommended for each size of cup . The display is also user friendly and shows pics of different sizes of cups. It also has a “warm” button to keep the coffee heated for as long as you like. The water reservoir is removable so you can add water at the sink instead of filling the carafe each time you want to add water to the coffee maker. There is an unusually loud sound when making espresso with the capsules. Also, the material doesn’t look very expensive. The fryer for works OK.

   Have you ever watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail? If so, consider the Swamp Castle–only the last one didn’t stay up. If I had written this review within the first 4 months, I would have raved. 5 stars; legit. So convenient! Makes good coffee! Quick and easy espresso! Brew as much as you want, from a cup to a full pot! Everything I wanted in a sleek, compact package! On the fifth month, the item that pierces the back of the Nespresso pods died. But the coffee maker still worked, and I could still make espresso if I pierced the pods before inserting them. Annoying, but fine. I can deal. On the eighth month, the coffee maker’s drip stopper stopped working. I’m a former barista, and I can swap vessels below a coffee maker like a pro, so okay. Not thrilled, but I’ll survive. Then, one week after the warranty expired, the disk that pierces the foil front of the Nespresso pods fell off, and there was no reattaching it, so I called customer service and Ninja was kind enough to send a replacement base unit–as long as I covered the shipping and handling (since it was just out of warranty). So I received and swapped out all the bits into the new (refurbished) base unit. …which lasted about 2 weeks before getting an ‘Add Water’ error whenever I attempted to brew, even though the reservoir was plenty full. I called customer service back and reported the issue. They initially said they’d be happy to replace the base unit again–as long as I covered shipping and handling. They then promised to ship it free after I pointed out that I had just paid S&H for the unit they’d sent not 2 weeks ago. Surprisingly, I received a new-in-box unit a few days later. I naively assumed my issues were over, and happily went about setting up and enjoying my coffee. It’s been barely 80 days since I received the NEW unit. The pod piercer has broken yet again, and both the coffee and the espresso maker are giving the ‘Add Water’ error. I’ve lost all faith in Ninja’s reliability. If it worked as intended, I’d be thrilled and delighted in the product. However, I now have three defective units in my house, and I’m not willing to continue contributing to the landfill with any further broken units. I’m out.

    I have used this a handful of times but still felt compelled to write a review. As a loyal Starbies drinker, I realized my daily coffee costs were totally avoidable. I’m a latte, cappuccino, espresso drinker so I had my eye on a Nespresso for awhile. I ended up falling in love with this machine bc I can brew a pot of coffee for guests, or a single cup for my spouse. This machine is extremely well made, the functionality is simple and smart. Even the frother function feels strong and not just an afterthought. I’ve made cappuccinos, lattes, a single cup of coffee, and a straight espresso. All taste just as good, if not better than Starbies. I like flavored drinks but not the syrups, Target has a great line of flavored espresso capsules for pretty cheap. Make sure to get espresso capsules and not the new pods!

    I will update this review when it’s appropriate, as I haven’t put it through all the cycles before writing this review. But let’s talk about what hasn’t been said…The 1st thing that stuck out to me was the misleading measurement. I wanted to get this upgrade my previous 10-cup Ninja to a 12 cup. This actually was a downgrade, as the water reservoir and the carafe only fits 8 cups to the max line… So to say it’s 4 more cups than it actually is, I think was very misleading and I would have thought twice about purchasing based on that alone. I wouldn’t have bought this if it was advertised as 8 cups. The picture is my carafe from my 10 cup Ninja to the right of this carafe. The right one is actually a little taller and fatter at the bottom and it’s 10 cups… So there is no way this is a 12 cup carafe when I literally measured at it.

    This coffee machine has been on my shopping list for a while and I was reluctant to pull the trigger because I’m a bit of a coffee snob and didn’t think it would make a good cup off coffee. But I was surprised at the quality of the coffee (drip and espressos). My only complaint is that the espresso doesn’t use enough pressure to make a Nespresso crema (foam). But it did taste good. I would definitely recommend anyone to purchase it.

    Easy to use very convenient whether you want perked coffee or espresso. Only disappointing thing no steamed milk capability for cappuccino. The milk whipping attachment does make a decent frothed milk if you put your milk in the microwave first. Both the regular coffee side and espresso make great tasting coffee.

    I’ve had nothing, but great experiences from ninja and shark products, but this coffee maker (CFN601) has failed twice already. The first time it was some electronic issue where the whole machine would reset and won’t brew any coffee after about 5 minutes of being plugged in. Thankfully, ninja sent a warranty replacement, but that replacement didn’t last long either. About 8 months in the Nespresso pod side stopped working again. Not sure if it’s a misalignment or what, but the machine stopped putting holes on the front side of the pods, so now it can’t brew. I’ve had nespresso machines for well over 4 years and they are working good as new. I’ve had shark and ninja machines that are also just as old and they are working just as well as if they were new. This however is the exception. I do not recommend it, but something else.

    I can’t say it’s the best coffee I’ve ever had in my life, but it is the best coffee I’ve made from a drip machine / pod espresso. It’s easy to use, and I feel like it’s better than your average machine. The price wasn’t much more than what a decent drip machine runs these days either. Does it replace my moka pot? Lord never. BUT it has stopped me from going to Dunkin every morning, and for that my husband is thrilled.

    We had a Bunn coffee maker before this one because we were over Keurig. It makes hot coffee quickly, but it always tasted burnt. I wanted to get something that kept the ease but made better coffee and maybe could also make espresso/Nespresso. We got it and setup was super easy. Fits really nicely on the counter, though you do have to reach back for the reservoir. Makes coffee quickly, not too loud. I do like the “drip close” feature, which avoids messes. However, the coffee was still very bitter and tasted burnt. I don’t think I’m ruined from Keurig to only like weak coffee – I still love a good espresso! So I tried a brand new bag of coffee – same problem. I tried the Nespresso, and not much better (bought Illy pods, so expected a strong flavor, but should be smoother). I also noticed the coffee on both sides was super hot. I read some pro reviews online and found that Ninja sets their machines to brew at probably too high a temperature, and that’s probably what I think is happening. If you’re going to doctor your coffee anyway, this machine has a lot going for it. But it’s not for me.

    This is the best coffee maker! Best of both worlds with brewed pot and pod coffee. We love Nespresso pods and I like the option of brewing a whole pot of coffee in the morning. I love all of the settings, from a tiny espresso to a full glass of iced coffee to a full pot of coffee that I sip all morning long. I love the look. It is Very easy to use and I use the frother to mix in my protein powder in my coffee, each morning. I also used it to whip up a little heavy cream and sugar for barista style coffee goodness. It did thicken it and mix, but no stiff peaks, more of a poorable thick goodness. The frother does not heat up. The coffee is very hot. Tastes awesome! It’s just perfect. Good quality. We’ve been using it daily for last 3 months. Get it! You will love it too!

    The good- the drip coffee prude a good pot. It is narrower than my old Ninja coffee maker that’s lasted for eight years .The cup of espresso, I would rate 7 out of 10 for a pod. The bad- for this price point, it should’ve come with a built-in filter like my old pot did that cost half the price. The coffee maker is to tall the way the grounds go in to put coffee grounds in without pulling out the pot. This is a major design flaw in my opinion on Ninjas part. Also, the watercraft is a little awkward to get out if you don’t pull the unit away from the wall compared to my old model. The way the pod go in is odd. My first few try’s at an espresso were challenge because the pod kept falling through to the waste bin. I am Undecided to keep it or get a newer Version of the old model.

    I love this coffee machine. I had been looking at various ones for quite some time and could not decide. This coffee machine not only makes great coffee, but has every feature that I could want on a coffee machine. You can select the number of ounces the strength, and even time delayed start. It makes great espresso, especially the longa! The only downside to this is that the lettering on the front is already wearing off and I am not sure why. I have never used anything but a damp soft cloth to wipe it down. Other than that, it is a great buy, and would recommend it to any coffee lover.

    This is the first time I spent this kind of money on a coffee maker. My last coffee maker lasted 7 yrs and cost me $50. The only reason I got rid of it was that it was looking nasty and started to rust. So for this Ninja, everything seems to work. I am not one for the fancy coffee or expresso. I drink a lot of coffee and prefer it hot and strong. I use half cup of coffee for one cup of coffee. So for that purpose it works well. I am hoping to get the longevity out of it that I got out of my old cheap coffee maker. I will update this review in a few months. Update: So I have started having issues with this coffeemaker. I attempt to make a cup of coffee. It acts like it wants to brew. All of a sudden everything starts flashing and it shuts down. For the money I would have expected better quality from Ninja. Here after months its been nothing but problems. As I stated before I had a cheap coffeemaker that lasted yrs. SO DO YOU SELF A FAVOR, SAVE YOU MONEY AND DO NOT PURCHASE.

    I’ve had an older Ninja coffee maker for a while, and I’m really impressed with this new Ninja Espresso & Coffee Maker & Barista System! My favorite part of this one is how many cup sizes it gives you to choose from, which is a nice upgrade! This was my first experience with Nespresso coffee, I was skeptical, but in my opinion, it tastes way better than any Keurig coffee I’ve had. The pods were a bit difficult to find at first, but once I figured out the Nespresso sizing I found them at Target. The machine itself is incredibly easy to use and clean. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and highly recommend.

    Had my original one for about 6 months before it started to leak excessively when making the espresso. Called Ninja and they sent a replacement base, straight out of the box I was getting the famous add water sensor while brewing the espresso sometimes 10 times before finishing which caused inconsistent brews. Called again they agreed it was a defective machine and sent me another replacement base, same exact thing. So now I have 3 defective machines sitting in my house. Either just get a Ninja Coffee machine and then find a different machine for espresso. Because this isn’t it I gave it 2 stars because it brews coffee just fine and customer support has been helpful. I’m a Ninja product fan but sadly this product is to many things in one and fails.

    I have been looking for something that could replicate my Starbucks or McDonald’s coffee. This comes very close. And I really like using the frother. I would highly recommend this. I only have two stupidly niggling complaints: 1) I feel like there are not enough choices for the coffee brewing timings. There are quite a few, but the gaps between some of them are too wide. 2) The tray for the espresso side is too small. I often make my coffee in big mugs and the top them off with a shot of espresso. But the big mug is very wobbly on the small espresso tray. (I kinda solved this by using the grey tray they give you for supporting the coffee pot when you do a cleaning of the espresso side.)

    I replaced my very first Ninja Coffee make with this one and I love it! I am currently not a fan of the Nepresso part though. Not because of operation but because the recommended brand to use “Nepresso”, is very expensive and not really anything to brag about. I have favorite coffee brand abs it’s better than Nepresso. I will try other brands once it’s all gone.

    The frother is really good and it froths your milk or cream in seconds nice and foamy. The way it brews coffee, my voice tastes really fresh, flavorable and preserved. There’s several cup, travel cup and kureg size options as well.

    I really like this coffee maker, it could only be cheaper and the coffee could be hotter in the part that filters the coffee, the espresso part is hot, that is, the coffee comes out hotter than the other part. Since it is a modern coffee maker, the temperature on both sides should be the same. Other than that, it is very practical and fast.

    The original coffee maker was faulty. The espresso pod compartment was a little out of alignment and could not puncture the pods- this is a semi common issue with this coffee maker system and a big deal since part of the allure is to be able to make espresso drinks. The “pause” function on the brewed coffee side also did not work. Coffee would continue to leak out onto the warming plate after the lever was in place. I ended up returning my original purchase and buying another one. The new one has worked great! It is kind of a bulky machine but it does look very nice.

    It’s simply much better than I expected. For coffee preparation, it does a pre-filtering and after a few seconds, finishes making the coffee just like baristas do. As for the capsules and the frother for cappuccino, they work wonderfully. Everything is perfectly designed in this machine. A tip: if you live at high altitudes, it’s necessary to calibrate the machine for the altitude. If this is not done, a lot of steam may be generated when making coffee. The instructions can be found in the machine’s manual.

    This is a really cool coffee machine. Very convenient to be able to make a carafe of coffee or make espresso. It can let you make the coffee at different strengths which is a nice feature and also the espresso at different strengths. The first time I used it I used Alex organic coffee and the taste was amazing. It was like the perfect temperature. It doesn’t burn the beans. For espresso it does lungo and even over ice option! The frother works really well and I’ve had success using almond milk. Nice thick froth. The ability during the regular coffee mode to use the open and close feature to stop the flow of coffee is really helpful. Either you’re seeing your cup overflowing because maybe you put too many ounces or you just want to stop it for any reason and all you have to do is push that lever. How convenient is that? It’s a wonderful machine and works very well. It seems easy to clean too and comes with excellent and clear instructions. I absolutely love this machine and it’s also eye appealing. Other features like a basket to collect the pods and a cup tray that can move around for the espresso different size cups or on the carafe side a little pull down tray for the cups is very neat. You will love this machine. I decided to get the bundle with the Alchemy pods that allow you to use your own coffee, and also the Rosso Caffe box reserve edition is excellent! Try it! It’s delicious if you like espresso! Highly recommend.
