   I have had this coffee maker for just about a year and it’s top notch for the price. It’s also certified by the SCA. Other certified coffee makers cost double or even triple. They look at things like proper water temperature, brewing time, and ability to brew within the SCA Golden Cup recommendations. Definitely a little in the weeds but, it does brew a great cup. I also love how I can brew just a standard insulated mugs worth. My wife is not a fan of hot coffee so this is a great feature for me. I had one issue with the Removable filter holder. Where the drip stop function would not actually stop the drip. Upon further inspection it appeared that I lost an o-ring or gasket that attaches the stem that moves up and down. I was still under warranty (by only a about a week or two) so, I called support hoping to just get a new o-ring/gasket. Support was great and they wound up sending me a whole new removable coffee filter holder, free under warranty. Retail for that would have been $12.95. My old filter holder was completely functioning except for that missing part. Now that my warranty is up, I figured it would most definitely be possible to lose that o-ring agian. Not wanting to spend 13$ plus shipping if it happened again, I went to my local HD hardware store. After some trial and error I can confirm that #78 O-Ring (7/16″ O.D. x 1/4″ I.D. x 3.32″) works as a suitable replacement. It was about 3$ for a pack of 10. I tried to capture this issue in my photos. One of the pictures you can see a bit of light towards the bottom center. Then the other picture shows the above mentioned replacement o-ring installed and no light showing. Confirmed no leaks and have brewed multiple pots/mugs of coffee since installing. Outside of that one issue it has been solid through and through. A+ Product, A+ Customer service (though I wish they would have just provided a 30 cent O-ring instead of the whole holder. Just to cut down on waste). 100 % would recommend to a friend.

   We got this after our $4 yard sale Proctor Silex finally ate it after a long second life. It was this or a fancy espresso machine. I’ve owned Breville products, and I’ve used plenty of super automatics. They’re great until they break, and then they’re a nightmare. And, just like flat roofs leak, or just like grass is green, the more functions and more parts, the more inevitable it is that something will break. Enter this coffeemaker. It’s surprisingly chunky, but it doesn’t feel like it takes up as much space as it does because there’s a generous amount of what you might think of as negative space– open but within the footprint of the device. Thus this is NOT suitable for a tiny kitchen. The filter basket swings out with an elegant, elliptical motion, with easy removal of the metal filter basket for cleaning. Setup is a breeze, as is the auto brew feature (called “delay” brew). The water tank is ergonomic and easily removable. There are other nice features, like a gentle, cool white illumination from the display, or the red light indicating that the warming plate is on. The coffee itself is also great. We aren’t coffee snobs per we but we insist that the coffee be hot– something cheaper coffee makers often fail spectacularly at. It’s a relatively fast brew, although the different settings may influence the speed. Slightly annoying are two things: the “full carafe” option isn’t actually a full carafe, nor does it drain the entire water tank when filled to the top. Other slightly annoying thing is that the filter basket doesn’t have a spring loaded stopper to allow you to remove telhe carafe durimg the brewing cycle. This would be an easy feature, and most cheap coffee makers have this, too. But in this case, it’s a slider, and you have to remember to engage it and then slide it back if you, like me, cannot wait for the thing to finish brewing. It is a boiler, so it’ll actually boil water on demand, unlike the traditional thermoblock percolator setup. Haven’t tried the other features but I will update this review accordingly.    This is really just a modernized version of the classic coffee machine to me. It does a lot of things well but none of them fantastically. Very very well designed though. I’ve used the froth wand with both creamer and milk and both warm and cold, and it’s a nice touch but you won’t get what a lot of people I’ve seen here expect like at Starbucks. At Starbucks the topping on your coffee is steamed milk and this is not (I believe they also use eggs whites), steaming gives it a lot more solidity so you it can hold the caramel sauce and what not. The specialty setting is not bad, I liked it for what it was and thought it was well made. This is not an espresso machine and it will not give you the results you get at a cafe. It’s good for macchiatos still and you can dilute it as you want as well so that was nice. I’ve used the half and full carafe modes and thought they were average results. I love this design. First off the way it’s built you don’t need like 6” of clearance over the top of the machine. The water tank detaches with maybe one 2” or clearance needed. The filter and folder pull forward and are easy to remove and slide right back in. There’s a build in removable measuring spoon on the side and it clips right back into the side and you can’t really see it unless you look for it. The glass carafe is slick and light while still feeling solid enough I don’t feel like I have to handle it like a lightbulb when it’s hot however I am not testing that out intentionally. The fold down mug holder is sweet. It keeps it from splashing all over and keeps the machine really clean. I only have to wipe down some splashes and smudges once a week maybe every two weeks. What I also really like is how easy this is to clean. The descaling instructions in the manual include directions for vinegar and you don’t need measuring cups or anything. The system will cycle through its cleaning mode on its own and then I flush the system with a water cycle. Outside of the descaling there’s only like 4 pieces including the mesh filter if you’re using that. They all are easy to clean and there’s a drip stop switch which prevents most of the staining.

   I love this coffee maker! It seems to be very good quality. It is not loud at all, and will beep when the cycle is done. I have been making my own cold brew at home for years with jars mason jars. It’s good but I wanted something easier. This maker will do 4 types of coffee and that works great to suit all coffee lovers. I have only used the cold brew cycle so far and it makes a great tasting cup of cold brew in about 10 min for lg travel mug. I am guessing the other brew styles would taste just as good. Now I don’t have to strain the cold brew I made in batches and can make a single cup when ever I want. I love that it has a reusable filter and that has worked great. I do not get any sediment so far. I love the measuring scoop they provide and there is no guessing about how much coffee to use. It is very stylish looking and great addition to any coffee bar . This does make some of the best coffee I have had. I am very happy with this purchase and I would highly recommend!!

   This is really a one atar review, but you won’t see it unless I put it in the 5 star catagory. PLEASE go look at the 1 stars. Be Forwarned! This is a product issue and Ninja should be ashamed! 2nd Ninja I have owned where the computer fried inside. READ your warranty on their website before you purchase. The warranty will make you pay higher than average rates for shipping as a resolution. $24. to send a coffee maker. Also, They were out of the part to fix it, so she made me cut my cord on video to kill the machine for good, before I could have a new one sent. DANGEROUS. I think we all know that someone will not unplug and do this causing them to be shocked. Stupid of this company in my opinion. As far as the brewing. It always tasted good and I loved the options of size and the frother etc. WHEN it worked, but that was short lived. It consistantly would not make coffee because of a needs wayer error message. It was not easy to clean and has lots of nooks and crannies. The darn thing just did not even make it a full year. Customer service had the , “I don’t care” attitude. So with that being said. Will not purchase any Ninja stuff again. UPDATE : The saga continues. After calling them because the replacement had not arrived, turns out they had not sent it. One more week goes by, Ninja arrives. Literally right out of the box, this Ninja does the same thing. The system when full of water starts brewing coffee and then stops mid cup saying that the water is empty. This is a 0 star product. Do not waste your money. They have no remorse for sending broken products and continue to do so as you can see in the other reviews!

    I took about 2 weeks to read a lot of reviews on various coffee makers. I had almost convinced myself to get the Breville or Moccamaster but decided to try this one out based on reviews. Got it today, cleaned it and brewed one pot of water to prep it. Started out by making a rich brew and used the frother to froth some coconut milk. The coffee was smooth and rich with no bitterness and the frother worked great. I did follow the guidance of the informational booklet and put three big scoops in for half of a carafe. That was a little too strong for my preference so I will lessen the amount of coffee next time and probably try the classic brew. Can’t wait to try different drinks such as iced coffees and cold brews. I’m definitely not a coffee snob, but I can tell a good cup of coffee when I drink it and this one was definitely good. So far, I am not disappointed in my decision. I also like the fact that I can remove most of the parts and hand wash them in water.

    Having been in coffee pedeler management myself in the heartland of Dunkin doughnuts in the south shore of MA.m for some time, I can definitely say that this machine does indeed. “Coffee” well.

    Jokes aside, as a Boston Electrician, being able to see the time for a morning brew alone is worth the 5 stars. But having cold brew, size options and a good manual that tella you how to clean it? Now THATS a good product delivery. I would recommend this is you have easy access to ice for your brew. Otherwise only if you like to brew it strong. The metal filter can also fit paper filters for a strong flavor filtered finish, and th drip stop is a great addition for those of us with children.

    The machine seems durable, and brews a whole lot quite quickly. The only process taking long is the “clean” function.

    It’s actually a simple little coffee pot. The dual features is what I was lookin for. This one can brew a full pot, or single cup. But beware, this pot is for coffee drinkers. Don’t put a little cup down there on the single cup. It will overflow. I also can use this to make a cappuccino. The places for everything from the frother to the pull down stand was well thought out for ease of use. If I had any complaints what-so-ever it would be that the frother doesn’t steam. You have to microwave your milk for heat. It does make a strong cup of coffee. Which is a plus for me. All-in-one, I am happy with my purchase. If you’re good with the frother not heating your milk and holding its form real long, I would say go with this one. Otherwise, I’d look elsewhere. That’s a dealers choice thing… My husband’s opinion of this coffee pot was great because it wasn’t complicated. Would I buy it again? Probably. Would I refer others, yes, depending on their coffee drinking habits.

    I got my ninja for Christmas and I absolutely love it, but as of 10 mins ago I went to pour me another cup of coffee an noticed that it was off. So me thinking it’s an issue moved it to another outlet, and still it hasn’t turned on or even flashed with power. I flip it over to see if I can take the back off or a panel to see if I can fix it some how and it don’t have traditional screws, and I don’t have a tool that will work, my husband thinks it may be a blown fuse but I have to wait till he gets home to find out.     Let me start off by saying that I LOVE my Coffee and my trusty Hamilton Beach coffee maker finally kicked the bucket one day so naturally I went ahead and got another Hamilton Beach (The Scoop) because I wanted single-serve functionality. To say I was DISAPPOINTED is understatement. That Coffee Maker made a MESS and splattered coffee everywhere, made VERY WEAK watery coffee, and couldn’t even fit my favorite ‘MAN-Sized’ Cup. Needless to say I returned it and looked at alternative brands… ENTER THE NINJA! I was a bit skeptical at first, the price is on the premium side but at the same time looks like a MUCH more expensive machine… and the real question was, is it actually any good? or too good to be true? The Ninja addressed EVERY issue I had with the Hamilton Beach. Look at the pictures! I had the biggest grin on my face when I saw that it fit my MAN-Sized Cup PERFECTLY! ZERO splatter when making a cup of coffee and the cherry on top it has a ‘drip-stop’ lever to stop any drips after you remove the cup *chefs kiss* I LOVE the way the brew basket slides outwards to easily add your coffee, and the removable water reservoir so you can make yourself a cup without having to add water every time *chefs kiss* But the real question and main job of every Coffee Maker… does it make good coffee?? YES it does. DELICIOUS Smooth Coffee (with paper filters). *chefs kiss* Cone Filters # 4 by the way The Ninja has spoiled me with the Coffee Size selection now. If I’m in the mood for a BIG cup or a small cup I can precisely select how much I want. I’ve also tried out the ‘Over Ice’ and ‘Cold Brew’ selections and they work GREAT! Basically just fill your cup with ice and it will do the rest, and don’t worry it will not overflow or anything. Both options are basically Iced Coffee but ‘Cold Brew’ takes a lot longer but promises a smoother coffee and brews it a lot slower, and WOW it’s Amazing! *chefs kiss* I absolutely love everything about this Ninja coffee maker. The people who made these clearly love their coffee too and speak my language. I’m sold on Ninja for life! Get one and you won’t regret it… Don’t think twice I promise it’ll be *chefs kiss*

    Just received mines today and I have one at my job and loved how it works so I purchased one for myself and I love how this machine is! It is so convenient… easy to clean, coffee comes out perfect, and it is quick when it comes to brewing. I wanted to post more videos to show how it is but I guess only one is recommended but it’s ok… it’s worth it! The quality is excellent and it looks great with my other Ninja products. I love how you don’t have to use the container it comes with to get coffee you can just use your own mug or coffee cup and even better your travel cup that’s cool to me . Very simple very easy and was so excited to receive it. Has a timer and it rarely spills. Highly recommend for those who likes have their cup of Joe in the morning.     I have always used a 12 cup traditional coffee brewer, so I felt like I upgraded when I bought a single cup style. Turns out, I’m not a single cup gal. So, I gave this one a try and I’m glad I did. I LOVE the cold brew and over ice functions for an afternoon treat, and the classic or rich styles for the mornings. It has a delay brew function, which I was missing with the single cup brewer I had chosen. This one looks nice in our kitchen. It’s definitely an upgrade to the old traditional coffee pot I had. I love the drip stop function so I can pour while it’s still brewing. It’s a 12 cup capacity, but I can brew various sizes easily. I feel it’s a good value for the multi functions it has, and good quality but only time will tell on that. You can choose to use #4 cone filters, or just the built in filter, but I always use a paper filter so it is an easier cleanup. Also, fine grounds will end up in your cup without the paper filter. Due to reading some reviews about a weird taste, I washed the parts extra well before using and I don’t taste anything other than my coffee. My single cup version had a built in milk frother, so I’m missing that on this guy. But it is an option on a different model when you click to order. At this time, i recommend this Ninja product Edit to original review: if you put the recommended scoops of coffee grounds in for a full carafe, the water going through the grounds causes them to overflow and there will be coffee grounds coming out around the edge and into your coffee. So, you have to go with less coffee grounds. I’m still trying to work this out since I rarely need a full carafe of coffee. I usually just brew enough for myself, but we had company for breakfast and it made a mess to add the recommended coffee grounds for the full carafe. I’m disappointed! Another edit: i absolutely do not recommend this anymore. After it overflowed coffee grounds again, I started a return and replaced it with a Keurig Duo. I’m so disappointed that Ninja’s product has this flaw. Also, it splatters coffee on the tile backsplash each time I brew. I do not like that! They need to work on this design! You should be able to brew without splatter, and you should be able to brew as recommended without coffee grounds overflowing!

    This is our third coffee maker in as many years bc we just couldn’t find the right one for us until I tried using this one at my parents house while visiting. So I bought one in hopes to save money and stop going to Dunkin everyday for coffee (spending $10+ each time). I have to say it was the best investment I’ve made in a long time that has already paid for itself. Everyday I make myself and my husband one of these fancy coffees and they come out better than Starbucks and Dunkin. I love that I can make my own cold foam with the frother and have so much fun experimenting with different flavors. We mainly use the specialty brew setting and then a whole pot for my husband to bring to work as he works overnight. The coffee is so smooth and doesn’t taste burnt like it does with some coffee makers that we have had. I like that I can also use it to heat water up for baby bottles and tea without it making the water taste like coffee. I also love that it came with a reusable filter and didn’t realize that until after I got some disposable ones. If you’re like me and love the fancy crafted coffees from coffee shops but are tired of spending over $5 on one you definitely need to give this maker a try. Just get some flavored coffee syrups or do what I did when I first started and just used chocolate syrup for chocolate milk. You won’t be disappointed.

    I was in envy of my friend’s very fancy espresso coffee maker but not willing to pay the $1500 price. This Ninja coffee maker fit both my wants and price. It has so many nice options: Multiple size options for brewing amounts from a cup to a travel mug to a full carafe and it offers 3 different brew levels – classic, rich and espresso. I love how easy it is to remove the water tank for filling plus it has the fill levels marked on the tank. You don’t need to fill the tank to the exact line as it automatically uses just the amount of water needed for the cup / carafe size selected. The grounds holder swings out for easy reach and removal for cleaning. The foam maker arm pulls out from the side and is out of the way when not in use. It also easily unscrews for cleaning. Another nice feature is the measurer that snaps into a spot on the side and is so accessible when measuring out grounds for your brew. BUT for this issue, it would have been 5 stars – a sticker came on the foamer arm panel and would not come off without leaving a sticky residue on the panel. In trying to remove the adhesive, the finish came off the arm panel. It just really bothers me to see that damaged finish on the arm. Sort of ruins the perfect coffee maker appearance but of course, the coffee is still really good.

    I love it! After my Keurig coffee maker died, we contemplated getting a regular coffee maker, an Expresso machine or a Nespresso maker. I didn’t want to give up that good ol cup of joe, so I searched for a combo machine. I am aware that this doesn’t actually make Expresso, but it does make a strong 4oz option. The thing that really sold me though was the brother. I have a battery operated frother. It’s meh. This frother was AMAZING. I warmed my creamer for 15 seconds in the microwave while the coffee brewed and then frothed it up for 30 seconds. It was so well formulated that it did not sink down during the entire time it took me to drink my coffee. It was so good. I am excited to see what else I can make and find my new go to recipe!

    I just made my 1st cup of coffee and it is delicious and much hotter than my very old coffee maker. Super easy to put together you run at one time one full pot and then from there you make your coffee. I love how the measuring stick attached to the side has measurements for a cup a half a pot a full pot takes the guesswork out. I did the three scoops for an extra large cup of coffee and it was perfect. No more wasting money on Kpos which due to the Plastic I’ve read articles that say it’s not the healthiest. It is definitely worth to purchase and it’s very nice looking. And I love that you can actually see how much water is in the reservoir and it’s easy to remove and fill. And there are no filters for water 💧 you have to worry about. Highly recommend!

    When I first started using the Ninja, I was saying it’s the best coffee maker I’ve had in 40 years, but – after having it for some time now – I’d say it’s the best coffee maker I’ve ever had… Seriously❣️ I won’t go into all the fabulous features this Ninja has, because it would take far too long, but they have thought of just about everything and placed it all into this one little machine. So what if the fold-away frother doesn’t heat the milk? Just heat the milk in the microwave before frothing. Otherwise, this machine makes a tremendous cup, travel mug or carafe full of delicious coffee with the push of a couple buttons, with choices of classic, rich and specialty brews – including iced coffee. Heck, it will even adjust its brewing temperature in relation to the elevation of where you live❣️ I can’t say enough good things about this coffee maker, however you should know you’ll need a bottle brush to clean the carafe… Even with that, it has to be (one of?) the EASIEST coffee maker(s) to clean on the market.

    I really love this brewer! It’s taken a bit ofvtrial and error to figure out our general brewing preference, and it was a bit frustrating that we could not choose the specific number of cups to brew, but it has worked out pretty well.     Another great product from Ninja. Several things I loved even before having the coffee. One is the pull out drawer like receptacle for the coffee grounds, which means it fits comfortably under my kitchen shelf. Another is the almost tray like setting of the coffee pot. it just looks really nice. A third advantage is the fold down tray for making one cup of coffee. The water is easily refilled, and my coffee this morning was delicious. It was very easy to set up and use.

    We were able to calibrate the coffee machine for the high altitude of Colorado Springs. I have lived in Colorado for 20+ years and didn’t know that was a thing. There is a handy double scoop with diagrams of suggested measurements that attaches to the side of the machine. We used the scoop suggestion to make our first pot using the minimum amount and the rich setting. It turned out amazing. I am a true coffee snob. I like Rich full bodied coffee that isn’t bitter.. There is even a setting for a 4 ounce serving of concentrated coffee to make cappuccino type drinks. The onboard frother folds out of sight. I think this frother will be very handy and easier to clean. I liked that the Water reservoir Holds enough for a full carsfe of coffee, But you select the size of drink you want from a small cup, Large cup, Thermos, Half carafe to full. It only uses the water amount it needs. You don’t have to fiddle with Measuring the water amounts each time you make a different size coffee. This makes it more convenient like the pod machine, but without pod waste. Finally, it looks good on my counter, which I am picky about.
