This French Press is exactly what my husband was looking for. It says it is 32oz, but we think it is only about 21oz. It is easy to use, and clean, and makes delicious coffee. It comes with an extra filter, which is a nice touch, and some additional cleaners that we haven’t yet figured out what to do with. The unit is made of a combination of glass, stainless steel, and plastic, and is quite sturdy. You will need to try several times before you get the perfect strength of coffee you prefer. Our first cuppa was far too strong, so we will reduce the mix tomorrow. Loving this French Press, and highly recommend!

Awful, simply put I had this French press less than 3 weeks and it’s leaking. The base of it is cracked and they wouldn’t refund me or replace it because I had thrown out the box. It’s cheap for a reason. Don’t buy it!

First, and most importantly, I found this French Press to work flawlessly – our morning coffee for the last week has been delicious., a big step up from 0ur drip coffee maker. I’ve been making 5 6oz cups daily and have enjoyed every sip. Some items worth calling out. The design is classic and it’s handsome and looks good sitting on the counter if you don’t want to put it away. I was surprised to find a strainer built into the top – helping to make sure no stray coffee grounds make it into your cup, though over the week, I noticed only one time where any grounds made it past the filter on the press and that could have been my fault, but that doesn’t matter, the strainer is there to catch them. The directions are complete and in excellent English, even including ounces as well as milliliters in the description and ‘recipe.’ So if you’ve never made French Press Coffee before, just follow the simple directions and you’ll make the perfect cup of coffee – just boil water and measure coffee grounds and follow the other simple steps. I was surprised that the press included an additional press filter – so if you ever have damage or you wear out the filter (is this a thing?) you can easily replace it. Also included is a coffee measure (spoon) and a ‘bottle cleaner” to clean the carafe. I personally just empty the grounds, rinse, and then fill half way up with hot water and a couple of drops of dish soap and then stroke the press up and down in the carafe for 15 to 20 seconds and everything seems to come out clean as a whistle. So in summary – classic design, easy to keep clean, a simple design that works flawlessly with a few extras thrown in as a nice touch. You’ll become the master of your own brew.

I wanted to clean it before using it, so I only put the glass in the dishwasher top rack. The manual doesn’t say anything about not putting in a dishwasher. I checked it after a cleaning cycle, and now the glass is cracked and I can’t use it. If it can’t stand the dish washer, it won’t stand the hot water in long run too. Do not buy it.

I rated this French Press 5 stars because it was well designed, easy to use, and easy to clean. It’s just large enough to make one very large cup of coffee or tea for one person, or two small cups for two people. I used it to brew tea. Before using it, I cleaned it by hand. The glass carafe easily removes from the handle for cleaning and the rest of the components are easy to wash. Afterwards, I added hot water & my tea bag, and pushed the plunger down about half way. Plunger moved easily without any issues. After about 4 minutes, I lifted the plunger, removed the tea bag, and then poured my tea as needed. It worked great and cleaning was easy. Based on my experience, I have every reason to believe that coffee (that has been ground French Press size) will brew correctly here. One hint, for coffee brewing, please ignore the instructions that say to use boiling water because it will scorch your coffee. Instead try a lower temperature such as 175 to 185 degree Fahrenheit, that’s all!

This was my first french press and I don’t feel impressed. I do not like how it doesn’t press down further and it slips out of the metal sleeve/handle if I don’t hold the lid down as I pour.

I’m sorry to say but this French press is pretty flimsy. In fact, the base fell off a few seconds out of the box. I’ve tried my best to pop it back on but it just won’t go. I went ahead and made a cup of coffee anyway, I just had to be really careful setting it back on the base or it might have tipped over. A cup of coffee I made was pretty good though. But I am worried how press will degrade over time drive the handle and top are made out of hard plastic.
