   It matches my other copper coffee accessories closely enough. The description says it’s dishwasher save but the coating seems to me like it will start peeling off after so many cycles, so I will probably just stick to hand-washing. Otherwise it seems pretty durable and it keeps my coffee hot for a long time. Overall, I don’t think it was worth $40 (maybe $25-$30) but I don’t regret the purchase.

   I did check the measurement scale. 20oz is 20oz. This is a double walled unit, so the outside only gets warm, not hot, while the coffee is brewing. Pours cleanly. Cleans easily. Recommended.

Comes with an extra filter and a perfect sized spoon. I use the 8oz setting for hot water on the Keurig and it works nicely. Definitely recommend this product.

   We’re huge coffee lovers and exclusively drink a french press at home. I’ve had the 32oz version for a little over a year and wanted 50oz so we can both have 2 full cups each. This press is perfect. I’ve had lots of coffee presses over the years, stainless steel is superior to glass no matter how you spin it. You can’t really break it and it holds the heat longer. The 32oz will retire as the camping press. Great price, great durability.

   Easy to clean, and easy to use… BUT THE DURIBITY WAS LOUSEY. It lasted 27 days before the handle pulled loose from the plunger stem, and no way to securely reconnect it. I’ve used a glass french press pot for over 40 years, and am still using it. I’ll have to try another brand. Thanks coffeemakers.us.com for carrying so many choices.

    I needed to replace a glass one-cupper that I broke…and not for the first time (I’m not too bright). This looks durable and it is. We actually had another glass one but it was not nearly a full cup of coffee. 12 oz sounded right.
    Made my first cup, put the screen in and top on and coffee came gushing out the spout. There is a very thick lid which made no sense to me.
    This is also too small. Consider the amount of ground coffee and the thick lid.
    To be fair, it is just right for my wife as she has about a half cup in the morning and it does hold the temperature well if you forget it’s steeping

    UPDATE: the seller wrote this and contacted me. I am still trying to understand why as they did not offer to do anything. Just WEIRD! In April I bought one and was thrilled. I gave it as a gift and ordered one for me. Well, what a disappointment! The second to arrive – the top was full of circular scratches – it looked like it had been scrubbed with a stainless steel pad – it should not have looked like that. And worse, the lid did not fit. It rattled and separated from the carafe ensuring that liquid would leak. This item has to be returned and as I live in South America, that is impossible – too expensive. What a battle I had with what is becoming a lousier coffeemakers.us.com customer service. THe first was perfect, the second looked used or like a “seconds”. If you get a good one you are lucky, don’t tempt your luck.

    This is a fine French press, just be aware that you cannot actually get 12 ounces. 12 ounce fill is up to the edge of the spout. If filled to that level, it will overflow when you put on the top which extends below the 12 ounce level. Also, add 4 scoops of coffee grounds and you get a realistic 8-10 ounces which is good for a small cup of coffee

    It’s broken. Can’t get it back together nor can I take it apart. I even tried using pliers. I used it everyday. I thought it was a top brand. I guess it’s not. Won’t buy again. Been using a different brand since July. It’s much bigger and was half the price of this one.

    This is not put together right. There’s a little piece over the screw at the bottom that has come off and made it so that the top sinks immediately down due to gravity. Such that it plunges automatically and I can’t put the lid on the coffee. In addition it’s also built in a way that makes taking it apart for cleaning difficult. All in all, I was hoping for a mini version of my functioning larger coffee press which I’ve had for years now but alas, this is not it. This is poorly made and not worth the investment.

    Nice press! Well made. The wood is a nice touch. A little rough in spots. This unit comes with extra screens. It works perfectly, making great tasting coffee. There are volume markings on the inside. The volume is nice and ample. I can make three large sized coffees at a time, which is exactly what I need it for. A lot of coffee is a good thing.

    6-year follow-up:
    I am still using this thing. A few years ago the wooden knob on the top started to crack, and I glued it with carpenter’s glue. Other than that one small easy fix there have been no other problems. This thing is good looking and makes great coffee. And it LASTS. I use it when I’m making coffee for two. When it’s just me, I use a ceramic pour-over. No need to have a thousand-dollar aircraft carrier of a machine on your kitchen counter with pumps that will wear out and tubes that will grow mold. Just saying.
