   I’m a huge coffee snob and previous barista. The machine is very simple, if you follow the instructions and clean it religiously, it will last you. I’ve had mine for 2 years now; through a massive cross country trip, on top of canyons after a hike or floating on a paddle board with daily use and pumps and works just as great as the first pull. Clean your machine folks and you shouldn’t have the issues you’re describing on certain reviews.

   100/100 as an Italian I am very strict on espresso and coffee quality, depending on the capsule the result may vary but is always consistently decent, please do warm up the parts with some hot water first i use the Lavazza Nespresso capsule and for the price, this is a must-have.

   I absolutely love this product. I’m a coffee fanatic and enjoy a good cup of espresso in the morning. If you enjoy Nespresso, you’ll love it too. I’d argue it’s the best coffee/espresso you can take with you without needing a grinder and the whole coffee-making setup. Like Nespresso machines, the Wacaco minipresso also creates a nice crema (espresso froth) on top and maintains the heat of the espresso through the brewing process extremely well. You’ll have to press the pump about 30 times to pull the full shot (5-8 pumps are needed to fill the Nespresso capsule with water, and the rest pour the espresso through). Once you have boiling water, you (1) Pour the water in one side; (2) Place the capsule in the other; (3) Pump 20-30 times; and voila – espresso. The whole thing takes 60-90 seconds. Cleaning is super easy, you only have to rinse it with water and dry the pieces separately. It has a nice balanced weight to it, and seems pretty rugged with a thick plastic construction. I really like how the individual pieces fit together perfectly, and there’s absolutely no “wiggle” feeling or gaps between the pieces – a good sign that the unit was designed well. Highly recommend for anyone who likes making coffee outside the home, doesn’t mind buying Nespresso pods, or would use it camping/hiking/outside etc.

   In short: you wont be disappointed! As soon as I got this I had to try it out and compare it side by side with the nespresso machine. I did a quick wash of the minipresso and poured some hot water from The nespresso mashine as it’s quicker then boiling water. It took 20 seconds to fill the water, screw it on and add the Nespresso Capsule. The race starts. Pressed the button on the nespresso and at the same time started pumping the Minipresso. It took about 10-11 pumps to fill a shot of espresso and finished a few seconds before the Nespresso machine. Results: the Mjnimpresso held up to its name. It didn’t make as much crèmà as I was hoping it would with useing two hands to pump, however I am still satisified. Pros: -Extremely small (size of a 12 oz water bottle -easy to use, set up. -Cleaning was not bad.inwouod dona nice deep cleaning after 10 uses and clean out some left over coffee stuck in the nook and crannies. Cons: -When taking the pods out donit over a sink or trash as it will leak some coffee and wil get over you. -AIRPORT: I have pre check, and out of the 15 times I flew, they pulled me to the side 9 times to check it out and to open it all up. Not a big deal. I just take it out now and put it separately and I do mention it to the TSA so they are aware of it, now I never get stoped. But when I do mention it they do think it’s a pretty cool device. So if you get stopped. Don’t give them a hard time! You can eaither ruien your day and get upset or walk away laughing and the next time you see them, they will Most likely remember you and ask how your coffee is.    This is perfect for when I am traveling. I think it could be slightly smaller and lighter, but I won’t complain about that too much. My one reservation is whether I am going to be able to keep the nozzle clean enough, as it does not seem to be possible to disassemble it for cleaning. So far it seems to rinse out clean relatively easily, though. I was slightly skeptical, but I have made half a dozen espressos so far, and it is every bit as good as those I get from my Nespresso machine. Here are a couple of tips: If you have trouble with grip, such as if you have arthritis, you will probably find it too hard to squeeze the pump. It takes about 20 or 30 pumps to get a full shot, and you need to do this twice, because you need to do it once with plain hot water to warm everything up. Speaking of warming up, if you do not run boiling water through the machine once before making a shot, your espresso will be cold. I recommend heating up your cup as well. If you have used a Nespresso machine, the pumping speed will be intuitive. Just pump fast enough to match the flow, and you will get the right brew time and a great shot. All in all, this is easily my new favorite travel coffee maker, and I will no longer be carrying a grinder, beans, and an Aeropress machine when I travel. Hooray!     Great idea but you must have access to very hot water, it only gives you about 3 tablespoons of coffee at a time.all the water you push through by pumping doesn’t come out into the cup. It makes quite a mess and leaked. I really wanted this to work since I trave so much

    I’m giving this portable espresso maker 4 stars because it does brew a delicious cup of coffee and it’s very portable. However, the instructions could be clearer. Nowhere in the product description does it mention that you need to use hot water to brew espresso. For me, this was a bit of a surprise – I was expecting to be able to use cold or room temperature water.
    In addition, the Minipresso NS can be a bit messy to use, and it requires some practice to get the perfect cup. If you’re looking for a no-fuss way to make espresso at home, this probably isn’t the best option. However, if you’re a coffee lover who travels frequently, the Minipresso NS is a great way to enjoy a good cup of coffee on the go.
    Here are some additional things to keep in mind:
    * The water can get very hot, so you need to be careful when handling it.
    * It can be difficult to clean and is not dishwasher safe.
    Overall, I would recommend the WACACO Minipresso NS to coffee lovers who are looking for a portable espresso maker. Just be aware of the shortcomings I mentioned before you buy.

    I purchased this for travel convenience and find it very effective, while the 8 bar (116 psi) pressure pump extracts a wonderful espresso and crema. FWIW, the water reservoir can hold a silica packet and two OL pods.

    I love that it uses Nespresso capsules. Just add hot water. You manually pump the pressure, this might be a challenge for people with small hands. It is nice that it comes with an espresso cup. We love to travel and love good coffee, we take this with us and have good coffee everywhere.

    I bought this so I could use my original Nespresso capsules on vacation. It takes up less space than my hairdryer or a beach towel in my luggage, and with the expansion reservoir, I can make a delicious cup of coffee. It does give your fingers/hand a workout when you squeeze the plunger to brew, but it isn’t that difficult to manage. I really love this little device and the great coffee I can get from it. The expansion kit doubles the size of the coffee/espresso you can make, and one capsule makes a perfect cup.

    I’ve had mine for years. Take it with me wherever I travel because it’s hard to find good cup of coffee. Honestly, to me it makes a better cup of espresso than my Nespresso machine. It’s a smoother coffee. I think it may be because there is no heating elements to potentially burn the coffee.

    La cafetera funciona a la perfección, su operación es sumamente sencilla e intuitiva; leí en algunas opiniones que fuga sin embargo me parece que tiene una mayor relación con un mal ensamblado de las piezas que con fallas en el equipo.

    Referente al tema de la temperatura el agua si tiende a enfriar durante el proceso de bombeo, sin embargo esto se elimina de forma sencilla realizando un precalentado del tanque y la cafetera previo a la extracción del café.

    Definitivamente es un producto recomendable, el tamaño es menor al de un termo de 16oz de café por lo que puede ser transportada con gran facilidad.

    It does what it is supposed to. For best results run hot water through first (preheat). Use over a sink (or outdoors) as you tend to get drips here and there from various ends. Not leaks, just as you turn it over. Found that design flaw is that it is not easy to pull out the bit that punctures the large end of the capsule, for cleaning. The piece with the small squares on it. it is held into the end with an “O” ring and there is no easy way to grip it and pull the two apart. Needs some ribs moulded in to get a grip on. I drilled a couple of very small holes so a paper clip can be inserted and the parts separated.

    I rarely write review but this product is so good I had to. I admit it … I’m addicted to espresso and have to have my 4 shots every morning just to get moving. I travel on business globally 200+ days of the year and hotels in some parts of the world don’t always have Nespresso machines. I hate to have to go down to a coffee shop to get my morning shots in the morning. I bought this recently for a 3 week trip to Korea. The unit worked like a charm and the espresso is excellent with a nice froth. It’s easy to use and to clean. You do have to work a bit with the hand pump, but I figure that’s good exercise … an added benefit. I just ordered a second unit as a back-up.

    This worked our perfectly for a camping trip. I haaaate most instant coffees and it was nice to be spoiled with good espresso in the morning before taking on some big hikes. Very easy to useful, gives your hand a bit of a workout if you need to do it more than twice. For cold mornings, I definitely recommend running some hot water through it first before making the espresso. Overall, I’m very happy with it and I know this will be an essential part of my camping kit.
