Simple, elegant , fresh , tasty, quality.
I have been using this product for several weeks now first of all let me start off by saying this beautiful little MoccaMaster brews a fabulous cup of coffee truly barista quality I have read other reviews where some people said the pot was too thin its actually not I love the aesthetics of it I purchased it in the off white its very pleasing to the eyes and does not take up a lot of space but most of all the delicious cup of coffee that I get to enjoy every morning is just the thing I need to start off my day if your in the market for a new brewer give this one a try you wont regret it I know I don't I would definitely purchase this product again Thank You MoccaMaster and Thank You coffeemakers.us.com for bringing us such a high quality product I no longer have to go out for a great cup of java if I don't feel like it
This unit worked for about 3 months. No making weak blends and I tried cleaning the needle and de-scaling. After that, called customer service and after on hold for almost an hour, was told need to talk to a member of the “commercial team”. This is a joke. So much for quick and really cool customer service from Keurig, it’s obviously been farmed out
Overall I’m very satisfied with this French press brewer. It’s a little smaller than I thought, only makes about 1 cup at a time but I like my coffee fresh and strong, so it gets the job done. Plus it works for me because I only drink 1 cup per sitting. The Coffee tastes as good as what I get from my $200 grind and brew machine. Gotta give it about 3 minutes to brew before pressing the plunger. I cut that from the video to make it shorter.
During warmer weather, I camp a lot. My original 1-cup plastic drip coffee maker is finally showing its age. I've used it for more than 20 years, so have been looking for a replacement. The VVGCS Travel Pour Over Coffee Dripper Kit is the perfect solution. It's silicone, takes up minimal space, and is easy to use. With its removable strap, it is lightweight and collapsible. I couldn't find a better replacement. This little drip coffee maker makes great coffee, and there is nothing like a good cup of coffee on a chilly morning in the woods. It works well and has a wide enough base that it should fit just about any size coffee cup or mug. This little drip pot has a removable mesh bottom that is easy to clean between cups. The stainless-steel mesh, however, slows down the process and does allow a bit of coffee slug to seep into the cup. The grounds got stuck in the mesh and I had to stir the water several times to get all of it to seep through. To avoid this issue, I used a # 2 cone coffee filter. The filter contains the coffee grounds, allowing the hot water to seep through without clogging the mesh. This adjustment produced a richer, full-flavored cup of hot coffee. I didn't fill the litter maker to the top so added additional hot water as needed. Throwing away the disposable filter with the grounds was also much easier than cleaning the mesh. There is a little trial-and-error with producing the ideal cup of coffee, but this little pot works well, and makes a nice addition to my camping gear. I'd recommend it to others.
Pretty great little coffee brewer, I’m not one to drink a lot of coffee at once so this is perfect. Mine did not come with the plastic cup measurement guide that goes in the water reservoir but there’s really no need for it. The pot brews exactly the amount of water poured into it. I haven’t had any issues that others have mentioned.
I actually ordered mine direct from the company before it was released to retailers. My coffee is best when it nearly melts a spoon so I mix chicory with regular coffee. The results are incredible! Not a purist by any means, but I haven't tried tea yet but will sometime. Haven't learned how to enjoy tea as strong as coffee yet. The press works so much better than my French Press as well as the Moka pot I inherited. This one is simpler to clean and that is very important to me since the grounds are composted. I hate messes and the American Press is not messy. Especially like that the carafe is easy to handle when full of hot coffee. If some liked mine enough to take it I would definitely get another.
The first coffeemaker I received leaked terribly. In trying to figure out what was wrong, I saw that the seal between the water tank and the coffeemaker was really messed up. I sent it back and got a replacement. The replacement came with some really specific pieces (bright red) that are meant to protect that very seal, and the first coffeemaker had not come with those. I think I got a repackaged coffeemaker the first time? The second coffeemaker works like a dream. This coffeemaker is the ONLY coffeemaker I found (after a lot of searching) that will let you set a timer to brew a single serving or a whole pot. Others with timers have their single serving functions separate and will only let your set up an entire carafe of coffee to brew later. It's maddening, their single serve functions are like an entire separate machine just slapped onto the side of a regular coffeemaker. Anyway, I like the coffee this makes, and it's working well for me. ** EDIT ** After a few days it started making very small amounts of coffee intermittently. I tried everything and gave it every chance. It was responsible for several very frustrating mornings. I'm the first person to assume I'm the one who did something wrong. I tried to recreate every scenario where it had only spit out 4 oz of coffee when I asked for 12 oz. Sometimes it would make a full cup, sometimes it wouldn't. Nothing helped, there's something wrong with this machine.
Coffee is great! Really easy to fill and use. Simple and easy to clean. Really a perfect coffee maker. Only thing is I wish the carafe was a bit bigger, we can go through a ten cup pot pretty quickly!
I used to think Hamilton Beach was a sub-par cheap'O lame brand that created junky appliances. WRONG! This coffee maker is fantastic, modern, sleek, and O M F G it brews a FANTASTIC pot of bold coffee. So easy to clean. Love the removable water container in the back. The heating element is freaking HOT so if you love a PIPING HOT cup of coffee, even several hours AFTER brew time, you'll love this coffee maker. Extremely happy with this purchase and WOW'ed by the build and quality. Love the time setting so I can crawl out of bed at 5am and BAM my hot AF coffee is ready. MAKES ME SO HAPPY. Thanks HB!!! You knocked this one out of the park. BRAVO!
Bought this to make it easier to make cold brew coffee for my wife and myself. We use Community Coffee medium roast, and fill the entire stainless steel filter in the center. I use some hot water to get a deeper extraction then follow up with cold to fill the entire container. As you pour water into the strainer with the grounds, they swell and slow down the water. So, it takes a while to get the entire container filled. I put it in the refigerator and the next morning have great tasting coffee. You can make less than a full container by measuring the water and number of scoops needed for less than a full container. The last 16 oz require tilting the container to get it out of the top since the spigot at the bottom does not allow you to fully drain the container.
I like that this is truly single serve and it’s easy to use. Just like a regular coffee maker but smaller so it’s easier to clean as well.
Other reviews complain about its features, but it works fine if you can deal with the compact size, the fact there's no auto shut-off (already use to this from owning another brand with that same feature) and, aren't too concerned there's not a "full size" cup. It works just great for a quick late night "cuppa" be it tea or coffee when you don't want too much! Like the red color as well.
UPDATE - It's just too complicated. There are too many button presses required to get started with fresh grind brew. One glaringly missing button is a CANCEL button. If you make a mistake with the ON button, then there is no simple way to cancel the process. The only way I have found to quickly end a mistaken button press is to unplug it. I really want to like this machine, but I just can't. I'm better off grinding my coffee in my other machine and using my other coffee maker to brew it. This machine is a great idea, but it is poorly executed. What a shame. This is a very nice coffee maker. The grinder is easy to access and fill. The programming is straight forward. The design will fit most coffee stations without taking up too much room. There is only one issue so far - the carafe. Let’s start with the upside. The grinder is very easy to access, fill, and set the grind size. It is rather noisy, but that just seems to go with the territory. The water fill is straight forward with a window to confirm how much is added to the tank. The settings are easy to master with the help of the well written instructions. Filter access is straight forward with a swing out door that makes it easy to add and remove the filters. The overall build quality is excellent. But… and there’s always a but, the carafe design is poorly thought out. The container is short and wide. It is easy to poor from when the pot is full. But trying to get the last cup of coffee leads to a spilling disaster. The lip of the carafe isn’t tapered towards the pour spout to direct the coffee that way. The result is that when you tilt the carafe to pour the last cup of coffee out it can overflow the rim and spill everywhere. You must lift it slowly and deliberately to direct the flow of the coffee to the cup. That is the reason for the three star rating. I’m of the opinion that had anyone even tried to use the carafe, then this design flaw would have been evident immediately. With a better carafe design this is easily a five-star product. As it is though, I do not think it is worth the price with such a poorly designed carafe.
Looking for a new coffeemaker to go in my new coffee station I ran across this unit. I read the reviews and it looked pretty solid, so I got it. It’s been about two months since I received it and started using it. I saw a couple of hilarious reviews, one complaining about having to clean it all the time or it wouldn’t work, and in the same paragraph he stated that he has extremely hard water. Hmmm… wonder what could be clogging up his coffee pot… Anyway, I have enjoyed using this machine the last couple months, and have no clogging issues yet. Of course I only put RO water through it because I too have hard water, and know exactly how bad hard water is on appliances. Pros: -Looks very sharp in my coffee station -Makes super-delicious coffee -Bunn makes a permanent filter with a very fine mesh that you don’t have to use paper filters with, and it works perfectly! -Nice to have auto-off Cons: -This is the slowest auto-drip coffee maker that I have ever used -Not cheap -Brew basket can come out of the machine very easily making a big mess, but once you know, it’s easy enough to just be careful with it -Did I mention that it is slow? Painfully slow. I got irritated with how long it takes to brew, but then I looked at a couple other auto-drip machines and didn’t find one that I liked any better, so I kept it. I did, however, time how long it takes to brew a 32 oz (six cups) pot. Here’s how that went: Ground the beans, put the grinds and water in the machine and Pressed “Brew” 0:00 First heard the water getting hot 4:28 Started brewing coffee 5:39 Finished dripping 9:42 Display changed from “Brewing” to “Heating” 12:14 I think a little over twelve minutes to complete a brew cycle is ridiculous. Machines one fifth the price can do the same in five minutes or less. None of those machines have the style and name of this Bunn, so I just get it started and then work on breakfast and the coffee is ready by the time I’m done. If you appreciate style as well as performance, this coffee maker can make you happy, but only if you’re willing to either be patient and enjoy the ritual of making coffee, or have ground coffee sitting out overnight getting stale while it waits for the pot to automatically brew in the morning. I like having a Bunn machine on the counter in my coffee station, and the coffee tastes great!
