  • I got this Maestri House portable espresso machine for traveling and it’s fantastic! It comes with 2 baskets, one with a standard portafilter for loose coffee grounds and another for Nespresso capsules if that’s what you use – I’m exclusively a loose coffee grounds person. Assembly is a cinch – unscrew the basket housing to add the coffee grounds/capsule and then attach it to the main unit, it clicks into place; remove the top lid to add room temperature water to the max fill line; long press the desired brew method, hot brew or cold brew (their respective buttons are on the front of the main unit, hot brew button on top, cold brew button underneath it). Cold brew is obviously immediate, while hot brew takes several minutes to heat to the necessary 196+ degree temperature before brewing begins (see video). The manufacturer claims heating occurs within 2-3 minutes, but my experience was closer to 5 minutes (which is fine, just noting the time difference encountered). The unit comes with a plastic cup that can be used to collect the coffee, however not being a plastic cup fan, I use a 12 oz frothing pitcher which has the perfect circumference and height to sit the unit on and as a small pitcher it’s not cumbersome for me to pack when traveling as an extra accessory for this espresso device. The unit produced *exactly* 2 oz of espresso with a small amount of crema (see pic; I was surprised it produced any crema at all to be honest). The flavor was excellent and strong enough for me to make a quasi-café americano. Cleanup is also simple and easy; the unit has a cleaning cycle that’s important to use to ensure the entire channel that coffee is flowing through gets rinsed/cleaned properly. I do wish it came with a storage bag, that would have been a great extra, but in its absence I just use a toiletry bag and that works well to keep everything together – though there aren’t many ‘pieces’ to keep track of thankfully. Overall, I’m really enjoying this device and think it’s quality made (sans the plastic parts, I’m able to look past it given that I’m only using this on my travels and not everyday for the thought of my brew coming in contact with plastic parts to not be quite so bothersome). I believe it’s worth the price and recommend it!

  • This is a good, small single serve coffee maker. The mesh for the grounds is very fine so you don't have to worry about grounds in your coffee. It comes with a tumbler to fit underneath. The tumbler is not double insulated so be sure to use the green silicone around the middle to hold it or you will burn your hand. The coffee maker itself has an on and off button. You will have to watch the coffee as it brews, because mine did not automatically shut off so you will have to do it manually. The water reservoir does not have a line indicating where it would be "full". Overall it is okay. Good for a small apartment or dorm.

  • This cover is FANTASTIC! It's well made and the color and laugh cow print are exactly as pictured! We got the smaller size to use for a large blender/food processor (it's a little large without one of the pitcher or bowl attachments, but when they're in the wash it folds neatly andstill looks great), but now I'd love to get the large size for our espresso maker! The blender isn't that far from our stainless steel coffee and tea cart so we may pick a different print as too many laughing cows that close might be a bit much, but they are great covers! So much more fun than plain black. We definitely reccomend this cover for your coffee maker or other appliances!!!! Great fit for more than just coffee makers!

  • I was very reluctant to order a coffee maker online. I kept imagining opening a box with a shattered carafe and dented machine. Haden packages their coffee maker superbly, as you can see in the first photo. The coffee maker box was shipped inside a shipping box that has styrofoam in it as well. The coffee maker is slim and nice even in a small kitchen. Very simple and self-explanatory buttons. Coffee comes out great - my 21yr old says it smells like Starbucks in the house. Will purchase again! 5/31 (2 weeks) update: So far, machine works great.. except I cannot get the delay brew function to work. I have tried it every which way, following the instructions to the tee. I even tried doing am/pm in case the time was incorrect.... but it does not work. So i removed a star for that. Not a deal breaker but may reconsider buying again. No leak so far - since many people mentioned. Makes a beautiful brew. I enjoy the extra strength button.

The design is beautiful. The coffee is delicious. Its easy to use. The reliability and repeatability is abysmal. Unfortunately about 20% of the time the coffee filter basket becomes clogged and cannot drain into the thermal carafe. The result is coffee and grounds all over the counter. Such a mess. We're using delivered bottled water, Technivorm brand coffee filters, and follow the brewing instructions to the letter. If it weren't for the huge messes I would love this machine. The images attached show a rather light mess because we have to have someone watch the machine brew now. In the future I will save the money and buy a Mr. Coffee or Bunn for the office. The coffee won't be as good but at least the could be relied upon the make coffee and not make a mess. Extremely disappointed.

  • For the last 2 months when brewing is done the top of the cover (moat) is filled with clear water surrounding the bubble top where the coffee basket meets it. The coffee does fill the pot. This is getting more severe each day where I have to clear the water before pouring the coffee, what is causing this? I alternate with 2 coffee baskets and the result is the same for both. No drip feature works haphazardly. I purchased in December 2023 14 months ago, GE states warranty is only for one year and GE agents will not state what is causing these problems. Could never figure out how to turn off the “Descale” message. Never again GE. GE is a Chinese owned manufacturer based in Louisville, Kentucky. It is owned by Haier Smart Home Company.

  • Bought this for my coffee shop. Very simple to use. Delicious coffee - of coarse with delicious local beans. Super excited to use for big events

  • The small reservoir to pour the water into combined with the poor design of the coffee pot spout requires a lot of thing to go just right in the morning in order to not poor water on the counter. I wish it the machine would break so I would have an excuse to buy a new one, but it does make ok coffee.

Expensive but worth it for hand built quality! Makes great coffee and looks amazing! I decided to buy this after a lot of research. Most reviews have all positive things to say about everything except for the price. I'm fine with splurging every once and a while for better quality appliances especially if it is something that I will use everyday. Comes with a five year warranty!

  • I actually liked this brand and their coffee presses so much that I bought 2 other variations of it. However, after using it for a month or so, I noticed a crack at the bottom of the glass. I always put this on the top rack so it’s disappointing that the glass is actually very fragile. The main reason I liked this product at first was because it claimed it was dishwasher safe. I will have to keep looking for a different press that’s actually durable

OVERALL IMPRESSION: I would honestly not recommend getting this product or a Keurig with the smart features. This machine is trying to do more than it really should and it makes it more susceptible to issues. They clearly aren’t being engineered to the same quality as they were prior. FUNCTIONALITY: I’ve been using Keurig’s for many years and I honestly don’t believe this machine makes coffee taste any better than other Keurig machines I’ve used. I haven’t had issues with the water flow, but the Brew ID feature seems more like a ploy for Keurig to know what pods people drink for them to advertise products similar to those flavor or to “expand their at home barista” abilities. This machine also doesn’t have the ability to use the reusable pod designs I’ve seen that allow people to use their own coffee beans like other keurigs I’ve used. BUILD QUALITY: As for build quality, I’ve purchased this product twice now. The first one worked well with no issues, but I had to move and it being briefly boxed up must have done some form of damage, as it shorted immediately after being plugged back in (could smell the burnt plastic trying to run water through it, no bueno). It had been just over a year of use, so it was out of warranty, but I ordered a new machine as replacement through Keurig directly and that one broke within days attempting to perform a brew ID. The whole coffee machine was dead in the water, stopped working like it fried the machine. Keurig sent me another replacement and this model has worked better over the last 3 months, but the frother on this one is a 50:50 gamble. Some days it decides to turn on and work, other days it’s just an attached cup. The Brew ID can take a notable delay some times, you have to just open the machine and re-close the lid so it either gives up or somehow reads the pod label better. The needle is sharp though, so it at least has no problem puncturing the pod.

This is a great coffee maker that has simple controls to brew your coffee with a large water tank. So far we love this machine!

This has been a WONDERFUL addition to my kitchen! Want a cup of soup from a soup mix? Use the instant hot water dispenser. (Which also steams milk, etc. with a turn of the button.) Want a quick cup of pick-me-up espresso? Use the single serve function and your choice of Nespresso originals. Want to brew a cup of tea with those tasty loose teas in your cupboard that you never brew because you don't want to have to clean the tea strainer? Use a Fanativita Disposable Coffee Filter for K-Carafe with a Cuisinart SS-RFC HomeBarista Reusable Filter Cup and all you'll do is pull the biodegradable/compostable paper filter out and toss it or recycle. I highly recommend this Barista system and also the two other products I mention above. They will add pleasure and convenience to your daily routine. By the way, my husband just loves that he can have hot cocoa any morning he wants it....even if we're out of milk. :) (I also got the delicious Starbucks hot cocoa K-Cup Pods.) Little treats to share and enjoy can make your day!

I have been looking for something that could replicate my Starbucks or McDonald's coffee. This comes very close. And I really like using the frother. I would highly recommend this. I only have two stupidly niggling complaints: 1) I feel like there are not enough choices for the coffee brewing timings. There are quite a few, but the gaps between some of them are too wide. 2) The tray for the espresso side is too small. I often make my coffee in big mugs and the top them off with a shot of espresso. But the big mug is very wobbly on the small espresso tray. (I kinda solved this by using the grey tray they give you for supporting the coffee pot when you do a cleaning of the espresso side.)
