We have a $1000 coffee machine that makes amazing coffee. I grossly dislike waiting for it to start up and brew me a cup of coffee or an espresso. This thing produces a nice K cups worth of coffee in just a minute or so and doesn’t take up too much space on my wife’s countertop (ducking conspicuously).
Between this one and Brevoy, the brevoy comes with double shot capacity and 9000 mAh battery which is more than the Outin. However the reason for getting the Outin was that it was more tested and been out there longer so I went with the more reliable. First I tried using ground coffee and the espresso was very underwhelming. Not much crema and very weak even though I packed the grounds 80% the way instructions tell you. Tried a couple more times and it was just not worth it. The clean up is also messy and inconvenient. Then I ordered original Nespresso capsules and the espresso came out much better. But not as good as my vurtuo Nespresso machine. It takes a lot of battery when using the heating and the espresso comes out lukewarm. With the battery life you'd heat 2-3 drinks. CleAn up is much more convenient with the capsules. I also noticed the insides of the machine parts become wet so it is important to disassemble it and let the parts dry to avoid mold growth. All in all good product especially if you must have your coffee on hikes or camping but there is definitely room for improvement if you consider the price.
I have other same brand products and I loved them all! This coffee maker is extremely good at making coffee. The coffee is rich and tasty, can’t find any fault. Very easy to fill the water and to clean. Even though it’s not considered small, it’s still a great fit for your kitchen or your office. The warmer will keep the coffee fresh and warm. Very good choice of coffee maker!
**EDIT AS OF 11/5/2020** Shortly after posting the original review I was contacted by Bean Envy Customer Service about sending out a replacement. The CS agent was very polite and apologetic for my experience. The replacement arrived quickly and in good condition. I have changed by review to 3 stars, as customer service did reach out and offered a replacement, however, I will still take the actual product itself (fragile, grounds come through the filter) but all in all not a terrible product for the price since it comes with a warranty if it does break. **************************************************** One. That’s the only use I got out of this product. When it came in, I hand washed it and did a trial run with only two servings. It worked fine. First serving tasted okay, a little weak but that’s just from me having to learn. But the second serving had a lot of grounds in it, so the filter doesn’t work great. I once again hand washed and then set to the side in an empty drain to air dry. When I went back a few days later to brew more, the glass had cracked somehow. I am unsure how as nothing hit the glass. I had put in the warranty request the day I got it and received an email saying that my request was received but never received a confirmation that I had registered for the warranty. I tried emailing support about the broken glass and to get a replacement or refund, but have received no response for days now. I ended up buying a cheap cold brew maker from Walmart and it has done great the one time I used it. I would not recommend buying this product. The product is poor and the customer support is too.
So simple, such good coffee, so easy ... I will never go back to expensive, wasteful pods, ever again. My 4 stars was due to the cleaning as you actually do need a bottle brush to clean thoroughly in my opinion in addition to the awkward design of the wood around the middle with a big knobby bead thing as pic shows I changed this out to putting some hair bands around the middle which fit my small hand better and was easier for me to pick up. Overall absolutely love this!
I purchased this coffee pot and filter because it’s glass and stainless steel. It arrived in perfect condition. The pot and filter work well. The set up fits into the wood tray nicely. The glass pitcher feel sturdy and holds about four cups of coffee. The glass by itself does not keep the coffee warm, so I added a hot plate. I also added a coffee cup to catch the extra coffee that drops out of the filter. Coffee doesn’t take any longer to make than a conventional drip machine. Clean up is easy. I recommend. Update: It has been a few months now and I have found that I needed to use a standard paper coffee filter inside the stainless steel filter. The mesh in the filter is so fine that it clogs up and won’t filter. The added paper filter has made a huge difference. I still recommend.
I think the design of this carafe is pretty good, I do like the handle and was excited about the prospect of enjoying coffee with a reusable stainless steel filter. When I opened the package, the reusable filter turned out to have some rust in it and I tried to clean it off best I could but it would not come off. Nevertheless I made coffee and and I feel the rust did not impact the coffee that much. It is a concern though, how long would it last before rusting? I was hoping for a durable coffee maker but I have questions about the product's quality control. While the coffee is good and the design of the handle is great, hopefully the manufacturer addresses the rust so future customers are not impacted.
Works great! makes an 8 or 14 oz coffee faster than my Keurig. comes out really hot and tastes great! Been wanting to switch to brewed coffee for better taste and I am really happy with this.I also got the one with the water reserve on the back which i like. It has its own metal filters so no need to buy any. i did buy some which does work if you cut a #2 down if you don't feel like cleaning the filters it comes with. but it doesn't take long to clean at all.no issues with this at all.
Love the one cup coffee/tea maker! Heats fast, no over splash from cup, came with a travel lid. Highly recommend. In addition, this can be used for any food that requires hot water.
Usually, when a company has the brand equity of "Kleenex, Q-tip or Skilsaw" they don't need to screw you in order to keep it. These are brand names that become household words and own the market. Keurig was no exception. When we got our first Keurig a couple of years ago, I was hooked pretty quickly (though frustrated that I can only buy one connected to a water supply if I'm a business). But I quickly became frustrated about Keurig deciding for me how much coffee was enough for my "cup." I know very few people who drink tiny cups of coffee. So on day one, I removed the drip tray to fit my to-go coffee mug under the dispenser. I then brewed the largest of the three buttons, opened and closed the top with the same K-cup and brewed another cup to fill my coffee mug. For those of you who love it super strong, this may not work. But for me it was perfect. Fast Forward to THIS complete waste of money... I can't tell you how excited I was to finally get something that would make my size coffee cup and could hold more water (though again... just sell me one that I can connect to a water line!!). I didn't mind having to use Keurig brand because I'm already doing that. HOWEVER.... what I do mind is that you CANNOT brew a larger cup of coffee without buying Keurig's K-MUG!!! It will not work with a K-cup and you can't access any of your presets without it. On top of everything else, this thing LEAKS AFTER EVERY CUP YOU MAKE and has no tray under it to catch it. So our brand new granite countertop has a puddle of coffee on it every morning. We called Keurig and their answer was to wait several minutes after your coffee is made as well as remove the K-cup before removing your coffee mug. Still drips. (NOTE: you have to remove the only drip tray in order to get any reasonable sized coffee mug under it and it looks really ugly as there's an exposed connection spot that looks like something is missing from the device). At least our old "cheap" one had an additional plate under the main tray. I'm not going to buy larger K-mugs just because THEY decided how much coffee I need per 20oz of water. We have now started looking for some off-brand of "single cup coffee maker" instead of a Keurig since they don't trust us enough to remain loyal without handcuffing us to their machines. What a shame.
I’ve used Krups coffee makers for 15 years. This one is just okay. The carafe stained immediately. Soaking with vinegar and all the usual cleaning hacks haven’t worked. It just looks dirty and unappealing. It’s very thin. I’m wondering if it has some sort of coating that’s holding the stain. It’s certainly not just glass.
Being steel, I would have expected it to survive a drop, however one drop immediately split open the lid making it unusable.
Absolutely do not buy product from this company!! I purchased an electric coffee pot from them in December 2024 with a one year warranty. The finish is now wearing off on the heating pad, the bare metal is appearing and no customer service is to be found. The contact info coffeemakers.us.com gave me goes no where, I am unable to find any way of contacting this company and I am stuck with a defective product!
Made of cheap plastic. Opened box took out filter cartridge and found it to be way out of round. Either manufacture defect or it sat in a hot warehouse and got out of shape. Then the ring that holds the date reminder broke off in my hands 20 seconds later. Not a good start. I'll see how the coffee is in the morning. This one may be going back.
I've had this almost a month now and there are a few things I like and don't like. The glass cup that comes with the maker is very cute but very thin and not insulated at all, so it is extremely hot to handle after the coffee is made. This maker can only fit certain sized coffee cups underneath it so it's not very versatile if you're like me and have several shapes and sizes of cup. That being said it makes wonderful coffee, it heats up very quickly and from the video it's definitely quiet. The container for the pods/grounds just slide in and out of the front very easily. The only downside is that if you use the grounds the whole entire container has to be washed you can't just take out the screen and wash it separately. It does have a little cover over the bottom that you can remove but it's a bit awkward to empty with the big emblem in the way. The water reservoir is easily removable and I love the shape of it because I use filtered water from my fridge for coffee and it fits perfectly in the space for that. To adjust the how much coffee you want you adjust how much you fill the reservoir. The cord that comes with the maker is extremely hefty and for me personally I like so hide my cords on the counter this is just very thick and bulky so in my counter space it seems out of place. Overall it works fantastic as a quick single cup maker very simple and to the point and the design itself is beautiful I love the color. However I do feel like it's a little overpriced for the limits you have with this machine.
