Power switch bad location wrong type. You really have to watch handling it the switch turns on very easily and is very quiet . A lot of times I don't think that the unit is on while I pour water into it. Then you can hear the noise from the steam even when there's hardly any water in it it's very hot. Then you have to wait for it to cool down a little bit before it starts spitting at you to pour more water in it. Otherwise it makes a good cup of coffee.

  • I wouldn’t say this product was used. Or maybe it was. However it looks like a gravel residue is on the bottom of the inside of this jar. I just opened it from the package. The dusty residue was all over. My husband tried to get me to just wash it. But I couldn’t get over it and it would bother me.

  • Great coffee maker/grinder combo unit. I love the modern design with the stainless steel and the sharp lines. The unit works as advertised, providing a convenient, one stop shop for my morning coffee needs. The bean hopper is easy to access at the top. Most importantly, this coffee maker and grinder combo unit doesn't make a mess like other similar products do. Grinds don't get all over the place. You can adjust the grind to your liking. The machine itself is easy to figure out without having to study the manual. Well, everything is easy to figure out except for one little detail - do not add more water than how much coffee you intend to brew! The coffee maker will brew as much coffee as you have water in the reservoir, regardless of how many cups of coffee you tell it to make. The machine only asks you how many cups to brew in order to determine how much coffee to grind, but it doesn't control how much water is added/brewed. This is the reason I took of one star. For the price, around $199 at the time of writing, I was really hoping it would have this feature. It would really solidify the feature set of this coffee maker. Otherwise its a great machine that brews tasty morning coffee without making a mess, and by eliminating the need for having an additional countertop appliance in order to grind coffee beans. Its attractive, easy to use, and effective. Purchase with confidence.

  • Shipping damage caused a crack in the water tank. I contacted Keurig, they promised replacement of the tank. I have not received a replacement after four weeks.

We have purchased Bunn brand coffee makers for decades. I was skeptical about buying this one because I didn’t think an open carafe was a good idea. It stays warm and doesn’t taste bad if it sets for a while. Still the fastest brewer ever. I love this coffee maker!

For many years I’ve used a basic Mr. Coffee “Blade Grinder” and “Coffee Machine”. The blade grinder has lasted forever. It’s a workhorse. I’ve gone thru several coffee machines. Decided to take the plunge and upgrade and thru research found stellar reviews for the Technivorm Moccamaster. Here is what I learned. 1. Note: moved to a “Burr Mill” (Cuisinart DBM-8) so this review is my impression of a Burr Mill/Moccamaster (79212 KBTS)combination. 2. The coffee the Moccamaster makes is superior. It’s the right temp and has no bitterness that I got from my old setup. This is the whole reason to pay this premium price. 3. The Moccamaster is well built. It is very quiet and brews quickly. I recommend getting a version with a Thermal Carafe; no burnt coffee from a hot plate. Only comes with 3 filters so just buy extra up front. Filters are super easy to install/dispose. 4. The height of the machine is a issue. I opted for the 8 cup version because of this. The 10 cup versions gets too close to the bottom of my kitchen cabinets; was worried about steam under cabinet over time. 5. Also need to consider the footprint/orientation of this coffee maker. I keep mine next to the sink so I can use my faucet hose to fill water tank. And I oriented it so the carafe is towards me with tank behind. 6. The only things that keeps this coffee maker from perfection; There is a button the carafe must depress to run; if you don’t notice this you’ll come back to no brewed coffee. This function is needed but, you must pay attention. There is a plastic platform the carafe sits on; it’s nice but, you must make sure it is properly installed. Not a big deal but, worth noting. Automatically shuts off brewing when water is used but, you must remember to turn off the machine. Again not a big deal but, probably would have been better to just automatically shut off the main power when done brewing; it’s not like it needs to keep a hot plate on. This machine is expensive but, if you love coffee then it might very well be worth it. Summary: Excellent brewed coffee. Easy to use. Built well. Carafe keeps coffee hot for reasonable time-frame. A few basic features keep it from absolute perfection. Cost to purchase will be a barrier for many.

I bought it because it said like new, and this machine arrived. The box was tattered, and the coffee machine was full of dust, both outside and inside, as if it had been accumulating for several years. I returned it immediately after receiving it, but have not received a refund yet. Never buy it.

Great size, it makes me about 3-4 days worth of cold brew coffee (I drink about a 8-10 oz single cup a day of cold brew since it's much stronger). I really like the flat it comes with. Absolutely worth it, especially for such a good price. There was very little residue/sludge at the bottom of my coffee, so the strainer must do a great job (I do use coarsely ground coffee made for french press so and not finely ground).

EDIT: I spoke with Michael at Lafeeca to explain my situation and he was kind, responsive and very generously offered me a partial refund. You can't go wrong with good customer service so I am increasing the stars on my review. The primary reason I bought this french press was because of it's aesthetic value. It is modern and minimal and the matte black finish is beautiful and matches perfectly with a Fellow Stagg or Corvo Kettle - it almost looks like they were made by the same company. The two of them together look great on the counter. It looks very similar to a YIELD french press which is 3x the price. The press is nice and heavy and the plunger operates well. The handle is comfortable and overall I think this is a good purchase. There are a couple drawbacks however --- 1) The matte finish scratches easily and shows coffee drips very clearly. I have a few other matte black items in my kitchen and they all show smudges and drips so this is not unique to the Lafeeca. I would say, however, that the finish does scratch more easily than other items I have with similar finishes. The stainless steel does show through and stands out against the black. In order to keep this thing looking as beautiful as it did fresh out of the box, you need to be careful with it. 2) There is a lip inside the lid that can be turned to "close" the press, as you have probably seen in most french presses. However on the Lafeeca, even in the closed position there is still a large gap where heat can escape (see photos). This results in lukewarm coffee after about 20 minutes. If you plan to share the pot or drink quickly - this shouldn't be much of an issue for you. Despite these points I think it can potentially be a good purchase for the right person. For $40 I don't think you will find a better *looking* press anywhere, especially if you have a Fellow kettle to match. If heat retention is not important to you and you are willing to be careful with cleaning it is a good value.

I recently picked up the Ezworks French press coffee pot for a camping trip, and it exceeded my expectations. The quality of this French press is outstanding—it's made from solid materials that feel durable and reliable. I was impressed by how clear and straightforward the instructions were, making it easy to set up and use even in the outdoors. For the price, it offers fantastic value, brewing a rich and flavorful coffee every time. If you’re looking for a dependable coffee pot for your camping adventures, the Ezworks French press is a great choice.

tldr: This is the best coffee pot I’ve ever owned. Many reviews say the parts are cheap and plastic-y, they are plastic, but they don’t feel cheap to me. Every part feels necessary, and minimal. I love how simple the functionality is, two switches, that’s it. The water wand is convenient and doesn’t leak at all. Most importantly, it makes great coffee. Perfect temp, perfect consistency and ground saturation, and the hot plate doesn’t burn it if you leave it on. If this thing holds up for a couple years, I will be super pleased and probably buy another, perhaps a new color! So happy and relieved this thing lived up to my expectations.

9/4/2018 - this is my second go at giving my first review. I’m not exactly sure why my first review was flagged by coffeemakers.us.com but here is goes... I purchased this to replace my expensive cold brew habit. Here in Boston store purchased cold brew runs about $5 per cup. The Rumble Jar was recommended by a friend who’s tried a number of these devices. I’ve been using it for the past few weeks and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good cup of cold brew. This is very easy to use. See my picture for reference. 5/18/2021 -- UPDATE!!! Couldn't live without it! Little did I know that I absolutely love having cold brew in the house. Not only have I purchased the original Rumble Jar for a bunch of my coffee-loving friends but I've also purchased a few of the Rumble Go's for my wife and me (handy for when I hope on the bus to work). Highly recommended!

Beautiful gift, haven’t tested, hate that it came chipped :( wish I could’ve gotten it unchipped, wouldve been perfect otherwise

  • Lasted 6 days, 100% crap, don’t waste your time or money. The plastic softens with the heat of the water and deforms. The glass also cracked while filling it, then the pieces fell inside .
