It's beautiful and well designed, all the parts have a storage place, and the form definitely matches the quality of the function. Very well thought out on both sides!
I bought this because my french press keeps failing to filter and make good coffee for me. I This is a good substitute for that purpose as I have no need for other fancy features like ice coffee. And to my surprise this comes with a 1-year warranty.
Just made my first batch. I'm loving this product. I was using the Takeya Cold Brew that I bought on here. This is way better and yields more. Also the Takeya results had a lot of sediment and required another filtering. However with the OXO, I'm not using the recommended amount of coffee. This is way to concentrated for my liking. I'm using half the amount of coffee and filling the rest up with water to make almost a double batch. I still dilute the results by half with water. I tried the first batch w/o a paper filter. I was really pleased with very little sediment. Only one complaint is the beaker. I really would have liked something with a handle. The beaker is awkward to handle with one hand. I'm still using my old coffee pot to hold the double batch and refrigerate.
This model uses a double filters which produces a significant amount of pressure and sometimes that pressure turns into a boiling hot geyser of coffee. Not a fan. Also not dishwasher safe...so no, I don't recommend this dangerous product.
It fits perfectly into my little coffee bar that I fashioned from an old ugly gun cabinet. It makes great coffee. My only complaint is that it doesn't keep correct time. This is big for me because I like to wake up to coffee ready to enjoy. I don't want to be bothered to return it so I'll just have to deal with it. Otherwise I would recommend it 100%.
I was really looking forward to this coffee machine as a replacement for my old coffee maker. However, after using it for a week, that's not going to happen. The first time I used it to grind coffee, it worked just fine. But when it came to brewing, instead of giving me enough for two cups, it gave me enough for four cups, and as a result, it watered down the coffee. The only solution I found was to manually add the exact amount of water I wanted. Second, the instructions are not very clear. Some icons are unexplained, forcing users to figure them out on their own. I was hoping for simplicity in this coffee maker, but it seems to have the opposite effect. The other day, I tried to make coffee for my father-in-law, but the machine wouldn't start. It took me about 15 minutes to figure out how to get it working again. I'm not sure why, but I had to long-press the On button (the play icon button) for 10 seconds to initiate the brewing process. I was really hoping to enjoy this coffee maker, but unfortunately, my experience with it over the past few weeks has been disappointing.
I just opened this coffee maker to find it used and damaged. The lid is scratched, the carafe is dented and clearly has coffee residue inside, the manual has coffee/water damage, the water tank has water residue in it as well. I am requesting a refund.
We really enjoy the flavor of the coffee brewed in our Breville BDC400BSS Precision Brewer Coffee Maker. However, one issue we have had over time is that the black warmer gets too hot. It gets so hot that it not only burns the coffee but also the rubber material starts degrading over time and coming off. We ended up just disabling it and letting our coffee get cold and warming it in the microwave as a workaround. I have owned a lot of coffee makers and this is the first one that had this issue. I attached a picture with this review for reference.
I would recommend against. I have had this a few weeks. 1. the volume of water for the espresso is supposed to be settable, but mine varies dramatically. 2. this morning the try that holds the espresso cup fell off. it is held on by these 4 small red pieces of plastic that just disintegrated with no kids in house or anyone else abusing machine. 3. it makes a crema sometime. but is inconsistent. . so now I have a machine that makes poor espresso, inconsistent water levels, its hard to get the used pods out without this red deck for the cup and I have $100 worth of espresso I have bought but will never use because I will not buy another illy unless they warranty this one.
Omg this coffee is amazing. So rich in flavor and delicious, I feel like I went to the coffee shop. The milk frother is a nice addition and works great! I am having a lot of fun with this maker and I am really enjoying the coffee. You won’t be disappointed.
I've had this for less than 4 month and the filter is already falling apart. I've been very careful with this, especially with how weak the glass feels, but today I noticed that the mesh for the coffee filter is starting to go bad. I'm going to have to buy a new cold brewer soon. It's very unfortunate because I like the size of the pitcher, it fits well in my fridge, but I expect a product to last a few years, not 4 months.
I got mine used and it did not come with instructions. To this day I still can not get the Blue tooth function to work. However I love my coffee maker. There are so many setting to choose from and very easy to use without the Bluetooth settings.
This is our 2nd Farberware coffee percolator. The first one lasted about 5-6 years before it died. We love the ease of use, that the coffee is HOT and does give a great cup of coffee. So we bought the same model but the quality sure has decreased. The power cord failed after about 9 months. We still had the previous power cord so we used that it and it worked. Around the 2 year mark the top part of the handle began to crumble. First one good size piece just fell off, then a second and now a third piece. The top part of the handle is no longer connected (see photo). It's not heavily used as we only do one pot (about 7 cups), once per week and just heat the coffee each morning (only drink 1 cup per day). My wife is afraid that the bottom part of the handle might suddenly break causing a pot of hot coffee to fall on the legs of whoever was holding the pot. Will not go with another Farberware percolator.
After a couple weeks, it exploded. I’d just save your money. It worked perfectly the first month, but it exploded out of no where today. I’ve been using it the same since I’ve purchased it. I used the same K-cup attachment, the same k-cups, and up to the same water line each time (never going over the max). Wish I could get my money back! Save your money and just get the Keurig! I’ll have to buy one anyways after this..
