Ive been saving up, specifically for a new Keurig (dropped my K-Duo while packing) and just purchased this 2 months ago (Nov or Dec 2023). Just a few into this new Keurig, it made an unfamiliar noise and hesitated at the start of the brew. It drip drip dribbled 1/4 cup and continued on to a full brew. I thought, hmmm...must be "breaking in" period of the new machine. Had issues a couple brews later as well and thought it to be odd. Then, as my grandson finished brewing me a cup, he alerted me that it was making a weird noise at the end of cycle. It's brewed with hesitation the last few brews. Unfortunately, I've been in and out of the hospital quite often in the past 6-9 wks with 4 -10+ day's stays at each admission. That being said, this machine has gone unused in this time and sadly, the 30 day return window has passed. I ordered my coffee pods ahead of time and had my son stop by the market to get my Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer (it's like dessert in a cup!). If you're a coffee lover, there's nothing like a good cup of coffee!! I get home, greet my furkids and brewed a nice cup of coffee. Let me tell you, it was mighty GOOD!! Get up today, greet my furkids and go to brew a cup of coffee and sadly, nothing but noise and a few drips. After numerous brew attempts, unplugging it, reseating the water tank, the brews were all unsuccessful. I try 3 hrs later and finally brewed a cup. Now, it's a worthless 2 month old useless Keurig. This is my 3rd Keurig since they've come out and I am so disappointed with this model. I purchased a second one on or around 12/10/23 as a gift for my sister. We didn't see each other until 2 weeks ago and sadly, she is experiencing the same problem and this is just her 2nd week of using hers. Keurig, I believe that you may have a design flaw here. I hope you make this right with myself and other buyers whom may be experiencing the same issues.
I bought this for my husband who hates the Keurig previously purchased. I am so happy we made the switch. It makes deliciously hot coffee fast. It is immediate coffee. It is also lighter than I was expecting. I have never owned a Bunn, so I cannot comment how the weight has changed. The machine looks beautiful and is modern enough to fit in with our other appliances. It’s a coffee machine that only makes coffee. The reason I am deducting a star is for the smell. As others have stated there is a faint smell of burnt plastic. It is not strong but it should not be there.
This Hamilton Beach coffee machine is a 12-cup drip coffee maker. However, compared to a normal full size 12 cup maker, this coffee pot takes up minimal space. The machine itself is smaller and compact, with a full size water chamber on the back and uses standard filters for coffee grounds. With this, the maker comes with a few different settings that are nice quality of life settings. Featuring a timer for exact times to start brewing and a bold setting which makes your coffee brew stronger than a usual drip maker. It also features a cleaning reminder after 30 cycles to inform you to clean your maker to get the best tasting cup of coffee you can. All in all, as someone who isn't too big of a fan of drip makers, this machine is worth it! It's small, takes up less counter space, and allows me to create a pot of coffee before I wake up so I can have coffee first thing in the morning. I highly recommend it!
This is a mixed review for me. I like the actual coffeemaker, but I am quite unhappy with the carafe. I like thermal carafes and my former one was hard to clean, I could barely get my hand inside it, so when I saw this one which was much wider I thought it would be easier to clean. In all the pictures it looks like a wide top, however, the actual opening is only 2-6/16” across! I can’t get my hand inside this one. The top collar is designed such that it’s even difficult to get the last 1/2 cup of coffee out of it. In addition, to keep spattering down when pouring coffee it must be held at a certain angle. Whoever designed this carafe did not test pouring from it or cleaning it. I expected better from Cuisinart. The carafe does keep coffee piping hot even 3 hours later, it’s attractive, and the handle is comfortable. That’s all I can say good about the carafe. The coffeemaker unit I am pretty pleased with overall. Setting the time is easy but the directions never mention AM or PM. When I initially set the time it read simply 7:05 for example. It was not until nighttime that I noticed the readout now said 7:05 PM. So if you’re setting the clock time or auto brew time and it’s evening, you need to cycle through the time setting until you see PM, otherwise, your auto brew will not operate the next morning. The base unit is attractive, the water fill & fill window are great, and the brew basket is easy to remove and rinse. I like that the “ready tone” can be turned off though it is not overly loud or long with the tone. I can set brew strength to my liking and it makes delicious coffee. Basically, I love the coffeemaker itself, it’s just the carafe should not only have been better described & photographed, but it should also have been much better designed.
It worked fine for a few weeks, until it didn’t. Now it leaks water AND coffee grinds out of the top… what a waste of money.
I liked the white and chrome look. I must admit after being a Braun admirer since living in German in the early 90’s , ai am disappointed in the lack of Old World Braun Quality. Special me too is the very slow brewing to completion . While it will suit our needs- I would not purchase it again.
Have been using it for a few weeks now works perfectly and us pretty quit most if the time
After purchasing a few stove top models, I decided to try this. I wasn't disappointed at all! It isso easy to use and easy to clean. My espresso didn't have that burnt after taste, like my stove top model often produces. If i get 1 year use from it, i will be happy. I am Puerto Rican and these colors match our flag and the dominoes represent our culture, also. I will buy these as gifts for my family, because I'm so happy with the quality of espresso it makes.
I've only used this Ninja 12 cup coffee maker for a couple of days but so far, it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The coffee tastes GREAT, it's much hotter than my previous coffee makers would produce, the water reservoir is easy to fill from the awkward, side-mounted water dispenser in my refrigerator, and the coffee pot doesn't drip when I pour it. Yay! This is the best coffee maker I've ever had, and I've had many during my 50+ years on this planet. If you're on the fence about which coffee maker to buy, I highly recommend this one.
The Braun coffee maker has all the optional features you need to brew the perfect cup of coffee.
Overall I love that it's a no-waste product. But I've only been using it 2-3 times a week for the last 3 months since I got it, and the filer seam is already splt. Now, coffee beans get stuck in between the 2 layers and are unable to be cleaned. So sad, as I hate the idea of using disposable filters!
I had a Bodum press previously for times when I needed a quick cup and didn't want to do a whole pot of coffee in the coffee maker. One day when I cleaned the coffee maker I found so much gunk in it I knew I could never use a drip machine again. GROSS! So I made the break and went 100% press and never looked back. The coffee is better and a little extra cleanup day to day over the horrors that lay inside the guts of a drip machine made it no contest. But I needed a bigger press and this was one of only a couple from Bodum that fit the bill in being able to fill my carafe and get a cup out right now. Unfortunately after several months use I have discovered it has a major design flaw that has really bummed me out on this purchase. Namely the handle. The handle is designed to not need screws or rivets as it pops together and is held together by tension of the metal cage that holds the glass chamber. Over time it seems something has warped and it keep swinging loose at the bottom which can be a bit scary as it ONLY does it when its full of boiling hot water!! Had this problem surfaced earlier I would have returned it and looked at a different model or brand. It is sad as it really fits my needs and works in all other ways exactly as I want it and it makes great coffee but this makes it feel like kind of a chintzy item. It's a real shame.
I’ve had a Mr. Coffee coffeemaker for over 10 years, and the model was very similar to this newer one. It was time for an upgrade, so I trusted sticking with the Mr. Coffee brand again. This coffeemaker works very well as did the previous model, but there are some new features I do enjoy. First of all, it can brew up to a 14-cup batch of coffee at once. This is nice if I ever have a large amount of guests over. My previous model brewed up to 12 cups, so I’m excited to try this feature. I would recommend backing off on how much coffee grinds you add for a maximum load, because just like the older model, it probably runs the risks of overflowing and getting grinds into the coffee. The design of the coffee maker is sleek and sturdy, and matches my black and silver kitchen appliances better than my old red one did. I like that this model has a “shower head” style water dripper. The older model dripped the hot water on only one side of the coffee grinds, causing an uneven distribution of brewing. I really like that this has been improved. This unit comes with a water filter which is very nice. I usually use filtered water from my fridge, so it’s not a huge deal for me, but I will tell you that if you want better coffee, definitely use filtered water! This model also comes with a reusable mesh filter. This is also a nice feature, although I am stuck in my ways and prefer to use paper filters. My favorite feature on these Mr. Coffee coffeemakers is the brew strength option. If you like a more robust brew like I do, without having to add too much grinds, you can choose the “strong” setting once it starts. This takes a little longer to brew, but is worth it in my opinion. This unit is programmable, which I don’t always use, but handy if you want to set it up at night and have your coffee start brewing early, as you get out of bed. I will say there’s something nice about smelling coffee as you’re getting out of bed. Overall, this is a very good coffeemaker. It’s not top-of-the-line, but I would say it is definitely top of the mid-tier models and worth the price. It makes a great choice for your coffee needs.
I’ve been making my own cold brew for almost 10 years. When I saw a quick-and-easy way to make cold brew on demand, I jumped at the opportunity. This system is easy to use: Grind coffee, add to filter, add water to carafe/cup, put motor on and press Go! It’s really fascinating to watch the coffee brew. I’ve noticed that you lose 1-2 oz of water in the brewing process, which makes sense when you consider the process and the wet grinds. This leaves you with about 12oz of coffee. This may be enough for some, a lot of work with little return for others (😂🙋🏼♀️). This brewer is extremely easy to clean and prep for the next session. I like that I can take this anywhere as long as it’s loaded with coffee and I have filtered water (snob here, again 🙋🏼♀️). My only criticisms: The charger is a little weird. It’s magnetic yet didn’t stay connected unless the motor/lid thingy was lying on its side. Took me a minute to figure this out. And lastly, the taste- I just need this to be stronger. Admittedly, I brew a strong cold brew, so my palate is trained. I may try to brew through a second time on the same batch, or mess with the grind level a little. I love this concept and this is going to get use, I just need to keep playing with it. Would probably be a great gift for a teacher who doesn’t need HOT coffee, but does need an easy way to make a cup in the classroom.
I have plenty of coffee machines but I got this because I wanted something to make ice coffee simple. I also love De'Longhi and have found it to mean quality. I have owned their a/c units and heaters. They always seem to workout very easily and have a high tech yet simple approach to appliances. They remind me of Dyson but actually work well. So i included the a video so that you can check out how the coffee is brewed into the ice. It doesn't pour over the ice, it instead fills up the ice. This makes it so that you don't water down the coffee as quickly and yet thoroughly chill your coffee. Its just an ingenues way of making iced coffee. I love the simple 2 button approach to making coffee. In reality you should only ever need 2 buttons. The left button turns on the machine. The right button starts the brewing process. After you press the right button, the boiler turns on and you can see your water bubble. After the correct temperature is reached, the machine lets the water pour over your grounded coffee. You can then see your coffee be released into your pot. This process usually takes about 30secs to a min to brew.
