When my Bonavita suddenly wouldn't turn on recently, Black Friday was approaching so I decided to take the plunge and treat myself to my first Technivorm machine. The machine itself actually has a beautiful paint job on it, though I didn't opt for any of the standout pastels or candy apple. The coffee brown tone is beautiful. The machine itself appears to be very well made and solid, but I am surprised at how thin and flimsy the plastic pieces appear to me. That makes no sense for a machine that retails for over $300. Even the carafe feels cheap but works well (and doesn't drip like my stainless steel Bonavita did from day one.) Now does that affect my excitement about the machine? Absolutely not. I bought it to make coffee and I've never had a better cup of coffee than what this machine produces. I grind my beans first and use filtered water and it's as simple as that. The temperature is HOT and I no longer need to warm it in the microwave. I LOVE this machine. I can't imagine there's a drip machine out there that makes better tasting coffee. I'm now a loyal customer.

It is very hard to find a drip coffee maker today that makes a good cup of coffee. When my old reliable Mr. Coffee machine died on me, I just went out and bought another one. The new one made terrible coffee! It was really confusing because the old one made the most delicious cup of coffee. I noticed that my old coffee maker had a showerhead water dispenser on the top that evenly disbursed the hot water into the basket of coffee grinds. Today, almost all drip makers have a single hosed spout that pours the hot water into the center of the grind basket. This results in terrible tasting coffee! The hot water needs to pour on all the coffee grinds not just a point in the center of the basket. When I looked at this Braun coffee maker, it did have a showerhead type distribute spout on the top. The problem was it had a large hole in the center of that shower spout and all the water was just coming out that hole, and the coffee tasted terrible. I decided to make a modification and plugged that center hole. Now the water distributes out the showerhead evenly over the coffee grains and this machine does now make a better cup of coffee. I did have to place the settings on 1-4 cups, Bold, and medium heat. All of this seems to have resulted in a much better tasting cup of coffee. I can’t figure out what these coffee makers are thinking! Is it bad engineering? Is it just trying to save a few pennies during manufacturing? Either way all these drip coffee makers are now doing them selves large disservice. I will keep this one for now, but I’m almost ready to go to a percolating coffee pot. It’s not that hard for these drip makers to do the right thing, so they really need to get their act in gear. The other features on this machine are kind of nice.

BEST OF THE BEST I absolutely love this coffee maker. I've had it a few months now and I am so impressed. It's slim and sleek, & doesn't take up valuable counter space. You set your preferences and brew. Settings stay until changed, which I love. The frother is amazing and works with milk or creamers. It swings out for use and gently goes back in place when not in use. It can be used without brewing coffee too. All in all, it's a great built-in plus for coffee lovers. I also love the color (glacier) of this Ninja coffee maker. It's such a nice neutral color. Better yet, this coffee maker also works with all types of pods. Love ❤️ everything about it!

  • That is not hyperbole. Nothing works well. Drop stop leaks like a colander, Oz. on the water tank and cups on the carafe so you have to do math. Carafe opening so small a child couldn’t get in to clean it. IMPOSSIBLE to clean. If you want a headache from making coffee every day, go for it. Never ever stops dripping. Second pic is of the heated that’s losing paint. That’s a new fail

This is a beautiful French press for sure. I bought the rose gold which is more like rose silver, and very very light in color (which is good if you don’t want it to be overly feminine). It’s extremely heavy duty, almost to a fault because its weight makes it difficult for me to empty the used coffee grounds into the trash bin. I don’t have a garbage disposal in the sink, so it needs to go in the trash. I think the weight would be a problem for someone with arthritis or issues with grip strength. It makes two 16 ounce coffees per max fill. And it’s beautiful in 4 minutes. I use 3 scoops of coffee grounds per 16 ounce coffee. Also it stays hot for over an hour but not sure about two hours yet, haven’t tried. No coffee grounds are in my mug, but you can see it’s richer and has some sediment (which is a good thing) compared to a cup from a coffee machine. One note I would make to the manufacturer is that it’d be nice to have a small line marking where the lid has an opening to pour the coffee. It will pour from any part of the lid, but there’s one part that’s more of a gap so the coffee can flow faster while pouring. It’s not marked though so it isn’t easy to see.

  • The Kalita 185 wave filters are comically tall and a bit expensive, but the fit into this coffee machine. This is a fine machine that’s programmable to brew before you wake up.

Love the product. I already own one prior to this purchase and wanted two. Don't love the lint and gunk from it being a previously returned item that was poorly cleaned. The coffeemakers.us.com packaging was sealed, so the moment I took it out of the box and saw a pet hair on it I was confused how a pet hair got into the package. Then I saw the rest. Looks like paper towel lint inside from wiping it down but it was hard to grab a picture of that through the glass. Great product, just wish they tried a little harder to send me a clean item. Plan to just keep it and run it through the washer since I don't want to deal with replacing it when it functions.

  • My friend’s girlfriend recruited me to help her find a birthday gift for him. We decided to get this cold brew machine because of our good past experiences with Urban Trend products. As you can see from the photos, it is easy to assemble, easy to use and use to store due to its compact form. Cold brewing made simple and easy at home. It even came with a bonus item: the milk frother – super fun to use. It is like a small electric whisk, I was tempted to keep it for myself. We liked that the bottom section could be capped off (cap supplied) and stored on its own, a pitcher of cold brew. This makes it convenient to use and no need to transfer the liquid to another storing container. Also, the pitcher section has measuring units, so you can pour yourself the right amount each time. We tested it with hot liquid to see how the temperature feels while in the container. The container did not get very hot, it seems to handle the hot liquid just fine. I was able to brew some tea with it and then viola, down it goes into the pitcher section. I might get one for myself just to make big batches of brewed tea. Another solid product from Urban Trend.

I did some major research on a new coffee maker! The coffee maker was a Cuisinart! A good brand! It had to have an aluminum capsule compartment with a forther! The only disappointment was no grinder was attached to the machine. My husband said his coffee was better tasting and he liked the glass container with the warming base! I love the forther! I used the capsule for my espresso! Just be careful of the aluminum capsule brands you buy! Some of them don’t fit well and water may jet out from the machine!

  • I’m falling in love with this machine. First seemed a bit needy- always wanting water, coffee, cleaning but we’ve adjusted to each other. Watched a lot of YouTube Videos to figure it all out and had coffeemakers.us.com support call me twice but seems like we’ve settled into a happy routine- coffee & lattes outstanding and all seems easy now I’m familiar with the machine!

After my 3 year old Cuisinart 1200 was clogged due to hard water, I upgraded my water softener and started to look for replacements. I first tried the Breville Precision for $300 and the coffee was DISGUSTING, not to mention the thermal carafe was hard to clean. I then found out that this machine was SCAA certified, and half the price. I decided to give it a go since my old Cuisinart lasted 3 years with nasty hard water. I LOVE THIS MACHINE AND THE COFFEE IT PRODUCES, not to mention how nice it looks! A full pot is ready within 7-8 minutes, the water is very easy to dump into and see how much in the tank, and the coffee grounds are also easy to insert. Even the steam is not really existent, as it has a clever little hole in the back that does not go directly into your cabinets. If you are on the fence and want to get an SCAA certified coffee maker for this value, I would suggest you try this one, you won't be dissapointed. I would say the only con would be it's 8 cup capacity - but with it brewing coffee so fast I've gotten over this downside.
