  • This is a very good quality item. The carafe keeps my coffee warm (I'm guessing that's the double wall). It's easy to clean manually with a baby bottle brush, no dishwasher needed. I can't think of any real cons. Some tips and answers to questions that others might find helpful: - One of the other reviews/answers mentioned re-tightening the grip after brewing. This is a good step. I didn't notice any leakage but it definitely was more loose than before brewing. - The grip gets warm but not uncomfortable. - This comes with a screw-on cap. You need to remove the grip/glass to screw it on. That said, I just placed the cap in the glass and this worked to keep my coffee warm. The cap never got hot. - It comes with instructions for how to pour. If you're new, I'd imagine they are very helpful. It's a mild brew (50/50 water/grounds). - FILTERS: You can probably use this without filters. I use my Hario size 2 filters. The attached image is 66g of ground coffee with a full out-in-out pour draining but I suspect you could probably use the size 3. The only size 4 filters I've ever found are not truly conical. Instead of a point at the end the size 4 filters have a flat bottom that's significantly wider than the metal one and thus would be annoying to use.

  • It's not the quietest coffee maker, but it works pretty well all the same. It's perfect for a single cup, and because of the limited volume it heats up pretty quick. It's stylish and convenient; disassembly for cleaning is easy. I took mine to work and it's perfect.

Ran 4 cups through it to clean it. Worked fine. Put in a K-cup and it swelled the cup up and blew grounds into the mug followed by the clean needle message, Removed everything and cleaned the needle and the k-cup holder. Ran another cup of plain water through, no problem. Put in another k-cup and swelled it up again and blew grounds into my coffee again. All k-cups are Keurig brand. Cleaned everything again. Finally got a full cup of coffee on my 3rd try without grounds or the message. Followed by another good cup. Next morning swelled the first and second k-cups again and a cup full of coffee grounds. After screwing with it again for 20 minutes I finally got a good cup. Took 7k-cups to get 3 cups of coffee, 4 wasted... 2.0 must mean its using 2X the k-cups... I want a refund for the machine and the wasted k-cups. I waited over a week for this heap of junk to arrive. Should have looked through the reviews and saved myself the trouble.

  • I liked it before it broke while using a baby bottle brush to scrub inside. :( Never thru the dishwasher 1x.

Once I got through the instructions and figured out exactly how it works, my husband and I both love it. It took patience and time. You just have to know that it has to be on brew(knob has to click) to set the clock. (The brew setting didn’t quite line up to the mark on dial; hence feeling the click). The Auto off is in 1, 2, 3, or 4 hours. (That confused us at first). The top buttons are for the 12 cup process. The bottom button is for the one cup. The signals are on inner timers; they will eventually shut off accordingly. We love the notification when water is low. (I purchased the discounted option; so it was missing a filter; I just called the manufacturer and they sent the missing item). I ordered a reusable pod set separately. Just have patience and take the time to get it all figured out.. In the end, after completing the setup and getting a rolling tray; we’re fully satisfied!!

  • With the crema head on the coffee and the espresso, the drinks produced by this device are tasty and unusual (for a home brewing machine). A great number of coffee intensities and flavors are available. Easy to use. Only "negative" comment I can make is that, in my opinion, the temperature of the espresso is at an unexceptable 100-105 degrees F. And the regular coffee comes out at about 140 degrees F. Both of those temperatures are not, again in my opinion, hot enough for the average coffee drinker. Asking two baristas in town has taught me that their coffee is made with 190+ degree F water, and by the time it gets to me, it is still at about 160+ degrees F. Checking with the Nespresso company I am told that the coffee must be brewed at these lower temperatures to avoid burning it. And there is no "heat" setting on this model, only on the Pro model. I guess you could heat it up to a more acceptable temperature, but that would defeat the entire purpose of the machine. Nevertheless, it stills makes a very tasty cup of coffee and I am keeping it regardless of the my somewhat dissatisfaction with the temperature of the finished product.

  • This coffee maker is compact and easy to use. I first washed the filter basket and tumbler, and then I added water to clean the machine; I ran it with only water twice. You need to hold the "on" button for a second or two. Overall, this works as it should. I ordered it for traveling, but use it at home due to the convenience. It is compact, and does not take up too much counter space. The tumbler gets very hot, so be sure to use the included sleeve. Cleaning is simple. There is no removable water tank; just pour the water in the top of the machine. This would make a great gift for an office or dorm room.

  • The set works well, holds up the fluid to get good flavor. Two flaws though make me sad as I would love this otherwise. A. The funnel inner wrap is coming apart after only 3 months. Even with gentle handling. B. The little band at the neck of the carafe does not provide enough insulation, so you have to use a dish towel, or tripled paper towels in order to handle it just after making. Note I found that a cork I had on hand fit the carafe perfectly and really helps to keep the coffee hot for quite a while. Looking for a replacement funnel....

  • Won’t work after 5 months. I would like a refund and return this product.

My main problem with this coffee maker is that it drips when you pull the carafe out and you have to wipe it up before putting the carafe back. The thermos carafe also cools down after a while especially when you have less coffee in it so we end up having to microwave our coffee cups from time to time even when I heat the carafe with hot water which seams like a waist of water for not a huge result. The handle is kind of thick and need two hands to press the button and pour. I also think it’s a bummer that it doesn’t come with a filter. Thank god we had one from our old maker. I do like the design and fits perfectly in the space we have for it.

  • Replaced my old Keireg with this. As usual I love it. Coffee and hot chocolate at your finger tips. Not to mention hot water for tea or grits.

I’m not a morning person, but coffee helps me greet the day. In fact, it’s my favorite thing about waking up early. I’ve been searching for a portable coffee maker, but the ones I located previously were bulky or inefficient. This one really surpassed all my expectations. It’s chic and attractive, complementing my appliances at home. The design is really cute. But, best of all, it’s the perfect size for travel. It’s easy to use, with step-by-step instructions included on the box. It would make a great gift, but I’m definitely not sharing! It brewed a medium-sized cup of coffee, which was also really impressive. I was expecting a small cup that would leave me wanting more, but this was definitely bigger and better than a typical single-serving cup I’d brew at home. I’m a big fan. I also love that the company is woman-owned and they included a cute thank-you note inside the box.
