CONSTRUCTION: Since you probably won't be able to put you hands on this machine without paying for it: Here is the lowdown on what the hell this is made of. *The only chrome STEEL is on the carafe body, the very top of the machine (the water and basket lids on hinges) and the inside portion of the body where the carafe sits. You can tell because these last two spots are actually brushed steel and not chrome shiny. *The lid and handle are chrome finished PLASTIC; as well as the upper and lower body. *The "WOOD" is a matte finish decal on top of plastic. Looks well enough. Will probably wear. >>>>>CHECK MY UPLOADED PHOTOS<<<< My opinion, it is well built for being mostly plastic. I would rather have this type of hard "chrome" plastic than what all other machine are made of as far as quality is concerned. Bottom line: THIS IS NOT A METAL AND WOOD MACHINE. It is metal where it needs to be and wood nowhere. PROS::>>> 1) It is really simply made. All the design flaws with other Krups machines are gone. The basket sits on top of smooth, and solid plastic holder and can be removed easily to rinse out. A simple on/off switch that turns itself off immediately after the water is gone. Simple hinges on the basket and water lids. The coffee valve at the bottom of the basket is just a button on a spring that opens when the carafe is on place and close when you pull it out. No lever or long over-designed apparatus. >>PHOTO UPLOADED<< Everything fits snugly. 2) Carafe keeps water hot.* 3)Large sight glass works well. You have to pour the water in kinda slow or the sight glass won't keep up with you and you'll overfill if you are trying to only make 6 cups. The hole in the back to prevent overfilling is really visible (an improvement from all previous models) so I use that as a guide when making all ten cups. 4) So far it seems like there is nothing to break on this machine 5) The hot water drips onto the grounds from a ring of spouts and not just one. >>PHOTO UPLOADED<< 6) Beautiful Design--a plus and a minus. Impressive but requires constant wiping and very careful handling. It is the type of "pretty" that looks like crap with a simple scratch or too many fingerprints. I would've preferred a brushed finished for the same reason they don't make chrome refrigerators. A excellent design for the compulsively clean as it at least is very clean looking. CONS:>>> 1) LID AND SPOUT. You cannot pull it apart to clean it. Coffee seems to get suck inside where the thumb lever is. So I don't know if I ever have completely rinsed out the entire lid. That lever is chrome finish and thus shows finger grease. To lock and unlock requires pushing laterally against this plastic piece and I am afraid (while sturdy) that this may not be good for it. The spout pours poorly. While not as slow as others have reviewed; it doesn't like to poor the bottom 4 cups of coffee very fast and requires around a 120+ degree tilt. NO LEAKAGE; ALL PARTS ARE SNUG 2) There is nowhere where you can touch this machine without having to wipe it off later. I keep a clean rag on top of my grinder solely for this machine. 3) It does NOT brew hot coffee of any special regard. The BUNN and Technivorm both are designed to do that but this is not in that type of class. The spout temp I measured was 180 and your fresh cup from a warmed carafe was around 170. Not impressive but not noteworthy either way. Don't let people tell you this brews coffee too cool. It brews perfectly hot coffee just not 200. 4)Made poor coffee the first 6 times due to a funny plastic aroma and taste. I ran full pots of water and some water/ white vinegar mix to rinse it out several times and it went away. Took a while and definitely wasn't out of the box ready to brew good coffee. Brews great after that though. If you have seen my review on the Krups FMF514, then you can get my stance on most thermal carafe drip machines and Krups in particular. Basically, Krups have been making some poorly designed coffee machine that break easily and are close but they have some fatal flaws. I have had a previous Krups model and enjoyed it for a decade just fine. However, their products have seems to becoming less and less reputable. Their coffee grinder is not anything special, at least to me. Therefore, I thoroughly checked out the entire market for thermal carafe drip presses. 10 years ago they were somewhat of a luxury item and I guess were better designed and constructed. Now they are standard in the industry. Everyone that makes a coffee machine has the same machine with a carafe version it seems. As I read reviews about this type of product, I found that more selection doesn't mean that there are better products. Quite the opposite; it seems like since there is so much selection that it allows machines to sell well despite major flaws and poor construction. Plus they all seemed to be selling bells and whistles and not a proper machine. I looked at the BUNN Phase Brew and was initially really impressed, but it seems they have alot of bugs to work out. The reviews are all about inconsistent manufacturing and poor reliablilty. I knew about the Technivorm, but that things huge and expensive. A good french press can make excellent tasting coffee and the Technivorm is way too much machine for me. Plus it seems like the pioneer product that will set the standard for brewing methods and temperature. I guess eye of the beholder, but it is really ugly. If that machine made terrible coffee, people would be calling it ugly more often, I think. I'll start drinking espresso before I spend $300+ on a drip machine. Plus a $300 grinder would be a smarter investment then a drip machine because ALL DRIP MACHINES SUCK. They are a product of convenience and consumption and will have something wrong with them. WHY I WENT WITH THIS MACHINE:>>> SIMPLICITY AND STURDY DESIGN. NO CONSTRUCTION FLAWS. NOTHING "SPECIAL" ABOUT THIS MACHINE. WORKS WELL. MAKES A RICH CUP OF LIGHT ROASTED COFFEE. The looks of the machine seem to have forced Krups to forgo some of their bad instincts and have resulted in a quality machine. If you have actually made it this far, then please leave a comment about your experiences with the issues I raised above. *ALL CARAFES NEED TO BE PREWARMED. IT'S PHYSICS. a cold carafe heats itself up by sucking heat out of the coffee meaning cooler coffee that then cannot be "hot" for very long. Plus a cool carafe has cool air inside it and when hot coffee enter it, it creates a vacuum as it heats up the cooler air inside and brings in more cooler air. A heated carafe is more stable. People that think they can use a carafe like glass just are doing it wrong. I did just that with this machine and the coffee wasn't drinkable after an hour.
Okay, let’s look at this Warriors1 Coffee Maker. The promise of being able to brew K-Cups, Nespresso Original capsules, Dolce Gusto pods, and even ground coffee in a single machine sounded almost too good to be true. After using it for a few weeks, I can confidently say - this machine is awesome! The first thing I noticed was its sleek, modern design. It’s surprisingly compact, taking up much less counter space than I expected. Measuring just over 11 inches tall and 5 inches wide, it fits neatly into my kitchen setup without making it feel cluttered. Compared to my old Keurig, this one looks more refined and blends well with my other appliances. I started with a K-Cup, since that’s what I use most often. The machine heated up in about 30 seconds, which is great for those groggy mornings when I need coffee fast. The 20-bar pressure system delivered a smooth, flavorful cup with a nice crema - not something I usually get from a standard Keurig. Next, I tested a Nespresso Original capsule. I was curious to see if the espresso would hold up to my expectations. To my surprise, it actually brewed a rich, bold shot with that signature thick crema. I’d compare it to what I used to get from my old Nespresso Latissima, but in a much more compact and affordable package. I also tried Dolce Gusto pods, which I hadn’t used before, and was impressed with how creamy and frothy the latte turned out. And finally, for the real test - I used freshly ground coffee. The included ground coffee adapter worked surprisingly well, delivering a customizable, strong brew similar to a traditional coffee maker. One feature I love is the programmable temperature and cup size settings. I prefer hotter coffee, and this machine lets me choose from three temperature levels. On the highest setting, it produces a noticeably hotter cup than my Keurig, which was always a complaint in my house. It also allows me to customize the cup size anywhere from 2 oz to 16 oz, meaning I can brew a quick espresso or a full mug depending on my mood. The settings save automatically, so I don’t have to adjust them every time. Cleaning is usually my least favorite part of owning a coffee machine, but this one makes it super easy. It has a self-cleaning function, where I just insert the empty adapter and run a quick rinse cycle. The water tank, drip tray, and adapters are all removable, making deep cleaning effortless. I also like that it has a descaling reminder after 200 cups. Unlike my old Nespresso, which needed manual tracking, this one lets me know when it’s time for maintenance - no guesswork required. While I love this machine, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. If you use a large travel mug, it won’t fit under the spout, even with the removable drip tray. I just brew into a regular mug and pour it into my tumbler, which isn’t a huge issue. Also, if you like strong coffee, I recommend using a dark roast or adjusting the settings for a longer extraction. Overall, I never thought I’d find a single machine that handles multiple brewing styles so well, but the Warriors1 Coffee Maker truly delivers. It’s perfect for households where everyone has different coffee preferences, or for people like me who love variety without the hassle of multiple machines. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. It’s fast, versatile, easy to use, and takes up minimal space - what more could a coffee lover ask for? Bottom line: The Warriors1 Coffee Maker is a sleek, compact, and versatile machine that brews K-Cups, Nespresso Original capsules, Dolce Gusto pods, and ground coffee - all with impressive quality. It heats up quickly, offers customizable temperature and cup size settings, and delivers strong, flavorful coffee with a smooth crema. The self-cleaning function and descaling reminder make maintenance easy. While large travel mugs don’t fit under the spout, and strong coffee lovers may need to tweak settings, its overall performance makes it a fantastic all-in-one solution for coffee enthusiasts. 5 stars, highly recommended! Pros: 1. Supports K-Cups, Nespresso Original capsules, Dolce Gusto pods, and ground coffee. 2. Compact design saves counter space. 3. Heats up in 30 seconds. 4. 20-bar pressure system creates smooth, flavorful coffee with rich crema. 5. Adjustable temperature and cup size settings. 6. Self-cleaning function and removable parts for easy maintenance. 7. Descaling reminder after 200 cups. 8. Affordable alternative to dedicated espresso machines. Cons: 1. Large travel mugs do not fit under the spout. 2. Coffee strength may need adjusting for bolder flavors.
I travel frequently and love my coffee/expresso. It was easy to fit in my travel bag as well, and I can use it with cups or my own flavored espresso mix. Very easy to use inconvenient. Stay charged for quite some time for multiple uses also in charges quickly.
I bought this product because not only is it a larger French press, but it’s one of the more visually pleasing French presses I’ve found so far. It does make a great cup of coffee, and the packaging you receive it in is excellent. It’s sturdy and came with extra filters as well as some smaller items such as spoons and two booklets which discuss the press and types of coffee you can make with it. After the first three weeks of use, I was cleaning it (as I regularly do) and noticed a lot of black/grey residue coming off on the paper towels I was drying it off with. I took to the internet to discover that this was a sign of oxidation from the 304 stainless steel that the entire unit is made out of. I also found metal powder between the nut and the threads on the base of the plunger where it connects to the filters. Kitchen Supreme were stellar through this whole process. I contacted them and expressed my concerns about the stainless steel cookware oxidizing and asked if chromium/nickel could be leaching into the coffee? They stood behind their product, and even sent me a second one; and still offered me a full refund if I wasn’t happy. To be clear if I were rating the company on just customer service they would get five stars. I tried the second unit they gave me, this time beginning with a thorough cleaning right out of the box. There was less oxidation on the metal this time, but still a high presence of metal powder on the threading where the rod connects to the filters (this part gets submerged in coffee). There were also deep scratches on the metal of the unit. I cleaned the second press thoroughly (pictures) and made a few batches of coffee over the next few days, cleaning the press each time. Slight oxidation returned a few days later and I ultimately opted for a refund. The reason I chose a refund was after a conversation i had with my physician about my concerns over 304 stainless steel and potential chromium nickel leaching. It was impossible to determine that the residue I found was oxidation or chromium nickel leaching without testing it (expensive) and we decided not to take the risk. Through this process Kitchen Supreme was extremely understanding and their customer service was exemplary. Make up your own mind on how you feel about 304 stainless steel in cookware. I am by no means embracing of health culture - I just like good coffee. This unit makes incredible coffee and looks good in the kitchen. The borosilicate glass they use is exceptional and the filters keep grinds out of your coffee. I hated the idea of not being able to continue with it. But do your research before making a decision.
I bought this to replace one I had because it did not make hot coffee. It was always like warm. This pot makes hot coffee! Nice size. One button to turn on so easy to use. Reusable filter so no need to buy paper ones.
Great one cup at a time coffee brewing machine. Brewed my K cup coffee pod just like the Brand name coffee makers without dominating my countertop space due to the small footprint of the brewer. Comes with 3 reusable brewing filters: K cup, ground coffee, and tea. In Addition, There are dedicated brew functions for Iced tea, over ice, as well as bold brew. The only caveat I have is the coffee spatter due to my short coffee mug when brewing. Overall, A lot of options for a compact unit at a fraction of the price compared to brand name coffee brewers. I recommend Tastyle Coffee and Tea Maker.
UPDATE: LOOK WHAT HAPPENED ! Hot dish water (I wash by hand!) Caused the "copper" to peel off! So disappointed, loved the copper, would have just purchased the stainless steel if I would have known this was going to happen. Rated it a 5, but downgraded to a 3 because of this. Coffee inside is still awesome and hot tho. After years of using my gifted glass French press, and one too many 2nd cups of lukewarm coffee, I finally purchased an insulated fr. press. And I am ecstatically happy i did! As I journal alongside that 1st cup, i sometimes get distracted and let that second cup sit. No matter, it's now just as warm as the first. Why ever did it take me so long? Easy to clean and I love the smart copper look.
Wasted money time it leak's it won't brew but 1/4 cup the coffee is getting pulled back into the water flow valve so it's wasted my morning ruined my day for coffee don't waste your time it's not worth a tea cup. It's sad. Pathetic excuse for a so called coffee maker extremely disappointed will send it back will never purchase this brand again
The Braun MultiServe Plus 10-Cup Pod Free Drip Coffee Maker is a versatile and high-quality option for home coffee brewing. Its sleek design and durable build make it a strong contender in the market. With features like multiple brew sizes, hot and cold coffee options, and a unique brewing system for great-tasting coffee, this machine excels in performance. The water container is easy to remove and clean. Up to 24 hours timer is absolutely helpful as my partner and I love coffee in the morning but sometimes we do not have time to make the coffee This machine changes the game, I can schedule it and by the time we are ready to work, the coffee had been prepared. User-friendly controls, a freshness indicator, and easy maintenance add to its appeal. While it may be on the pricier side and take up some counter space, its overall value in terms of quality and convenience makes it a worthwhile investment for coffee enthusiasts.
I’ve been using the OXO Compact Cold Brew Maker, and it’s quickly become a favorite. I’ve tested brew times from 18 to 24 hours, and 18 hours hits the mark for the best flavor. I also played around with coffee-to-water ratios and prefer using more water for smoother extraction. Initially, I struggled with full extraction, but trial and error helped me nail it. Now, I just pour everything in and make sure the grounds are properly saturated. I’ve been using Starbucks Veranda Blend Blonde Roast, and the 12-ounce pre-ground bag costs around $8. Recently, I scored a 28-ounce bag at Target for $17, and I’m looking at Costco for a light to medium roast, but so far, it’s mostly dark roasts there. The brewer has a solid capacity. One time, I let it sit too long and it overfilled the carafe, but I got almost 32 ounces of concentrate—enough to fill my Chameleon Cold Brew bottle. The thing is, the Chameleon concentrate (which is supposed to be diluted) doesn’t hit hard enough for me. It’s not great quality, and I’m not surprised it’s from Texas—what do they know about strong coffee anyway? Overall, the OXO brewer has been a great addition to my setup. It’s simple to use, delivers consistently strong cold brew, and makes it easy to experiment with different brewing times and coffee ratios. Highly recommend if you’re looking to step up your cold brew game.
Simple & easy to use. Straight out of the box this item was ready to plug in & use. (I also own a Keurig k50 classic series - which sadly takes up a lot of space & requires some assembly). I was pleasantly surprised at the fact that there is no assembly required. The cord wasn't too long or too short. The same length as my toaster and/or blender cord would be in comparison. The directions didn't say to run vinegar through the machine - but I did run 1 cycle of vinegar followed by 4 cycles of water to flush the system out before officially making my first cup of coffee. NO weird smells and NO strong plastic taste. I used a kcup from a company called: Cafe escapes - 'cafe caramel' flavor & it turned out wonderful. I had soo many questions before ordering this machine. So this is my first impressions review of the Chulux Single serve coffee maker in comparison to my Keurig K50 series. It is definitely worth giving this baby a shot. Seeing that the price alone is a major plus. It takes up 1/3 of the space my Keurig would. My concerns were to find a machine to use when traveling. I also wondered which size mugs & travel tumblers would fit underneath the dispensing spout. So I promptly pulled out 3 of my most used mugs & tumbler. First up is a 12 oz. standard size mug which came out of a Corelle plate set. It measures 6 inches tall. & fit perfectly under the spout with drip tray. Second up is my fav. princess Anna Disneyland mug......depending on how full you fill your cups....this mug holds 12 oz up to 14 oz (if you fill it to the rim). It measured 7 inches tall, although I did have to remove the drip tray for this taller mug to fit & there wasn't much extra room to spare. So at this point I am going to say the max height of any cup you plan on using with the Chulux single serve brewer should 7" or shorter in height. My 3rd was my beloved 16 oz. stainless steel starbucks to go tumbler but it was waaaayyy taller than my princess Anna Mug & when sitting next to the Chulux machine it was obviously to big to fit underneath the spout.......unless I plan to transfer my coffee from mug to tumbler I guess I won't be using it while traveling. On to my next concern - I had read in previous reviews that only specific reusable metal filters are compatible with this machine. I was hoping that the ones I already have would fit. Because sometimes I do use my own pre-ground coffee I have an Eco-fill 2.0 metal reusable coffee kcup filter. (it does not work with this Chulux machine so DON'T buy that brand). Why not? The most important thing to know is that the top lid of the Chulux machine closes flush against the small insert area that holds the Kcup. My Eco-fill 2.0 has a huge hinge on 1 side that prevents the lid from completely closing. Whichever reusable Kcup you do decide to use needs to close & be flat & smooth around all sides. I happened to have the Cafe cups (as seen on TV brand) and YES these do fit & are compatible with the Chulux machine!!!! I will show both the wrong & right brands in pictures posted for reference. Brewing a cup of coffee was easy. Plug in machine. Life lid, pour in water, insert kcup pod, close lid, lock lid, then press the ON button. Once you press the on button you can already hear the water starting to warm up & boil. It took about 1 & 30 secs. to heat up & brew. That's not long at all. I must admit I am slightly spoiled with my pre-heated Keurig so I don't really have to wait for the heat up time. But considering it is probably all those extra gizmos that enable pre-heating that take up precious kitchen counter space in the first place then I can survive waiting for 1 minute. I hope that this review will be helpful to anyone who may been wondering the same things as me. I will probably update later on the durability part. I plan to only use this when I travel - so it's not an everyday use for me.
I purchased mine direct from the manufacturer to take advantage of the military and summer savings coupon (which is why this doesn't show as a verified purchase). I've been staring at the Facebook ads for this thing all year. Friends keep seeing it and posting it to my wall, sending it to me in email. They know I'm a coffee junky and I spend most of my time on the road so I'm always buying replacement coffee pots. I kept telling myself I didn't want to shell out $200 for a coffee pot, yet I've gone through half a dozen cheaper pots as well as a Keurig that only lasted about 4 months before falling to pieces. I finally decided that we'd just come off a very profitable week and I was going to reward myself. I'm kicking myself for not having done this months ago! I love it! Pictures are attached if you'd like to see it in the real world, as opposed to marketing photos. I love this thing. I have a Keurig at home, and a Keurig for travel. I'd rather have this than BOTH of them! The best thing is it's brew time. From the time you power it on until it's ready to brew is a whopping 38 seconds. From the time it says "ready" till it's done brewing a 10 oz cup was a total of 45 seconds. In literally a minute and twenty seconds you can plug it in and be drinking coffee, even if it was off for hours. That's pretty cool! I get impatient waiting for my Keurig to brew every single cup we drink on the job site. This unit is fast! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. My advice - just get one!
This magic machine is what I wanted in the morning. It's so easy to use for what quality you get out of it. It's a joy sitting down to a lovely cup of coffee. Me and my wife went on a trip to India and Thailand. Staying in a 5 star hotel.. we got pampered with cappuccinos and macchiatos. When we came home we missed the enjoyment of that morning of coffee bliss... Now we got it back with this amazing machine.... So happy 😊
4 stars because I think the packaging could have been better. The box I received it in was torn and taped up in different parts. It was clear that the box had been opened before. Upon opening the box though, everything seemed intact. The machine works perfectly and is in a good condition.
i was about to go "mount st helens" until i rigged my OLD french press center rod to accommodate the pitcher depth of this one. you have to understand, if the length of the center rod isnt long enough, the mesh plate (when plunged) wont press the grounds tightly enough, therefore, a POOL of otherwise delicious coffee will be left behind in the bottom. i can see this working for people who will be using it to medium/full capacity but i make single serve. i need a longer center rod to reach the grounds to create a firm press. luckily i like the way i just used my old part interchangeably. or else it'd be sent back. conclusion: i got lucky. but bear in mind what ive said! and highwin: what the heck was this company thinking?!
