   This is a great little machine. The only problem is, the milk tank stops steaming milk right after starting. This seems to happen if: the milk tank is less than half full, the milk tube isn’t in firmly enough, or the + – knob is set too far in one direction or the other. Or sometimes you have to just press the froth button more than once, re-seat the milk tank, or gently push in and hold the milk tank in as it froths. Like I said, finicky. I didn’t see this mentioned in the troubleshooting section of the manual, so I wanted to post it here. It also takes a quite a while to heat and re-heat water over and over, but still a pretty good machine.

   This magic machine is what I wanted in the morning. It’s so easy to use for what quality you get out of it. It’s a joy sitting down to a lovely cup of coffee. Me and my wife went on a trip to India and Thailand. Staying in a 5 star hotel.. we got pampered with cappuccinos and macchiatos. When we came home we missed the enjoyment of that morning of coffee bliss… Now we got it back with this amazing machine…. So happy 😊

   We have a love hate relationship with this machine. For the sake of brevity, we’ve had this for going on 3 months now, and we’ve had pretty ok coffee with it, really not good coffee with it, and LOTS of mess. The pictures are below to show what I won’t address through writing. The comments about temperature are spot on, this machine does not steam the milk to any right temperature. There is also no way to regulate it… which is critical for making cappuccinos or lattes. The froth adjuster simply adjusts the amount of foam, when it wants to work. The frother (pitcher?) assembly is the other kill joy of this machine. Be prepared for the smell of old milk, regardless of how well you clean it. We have learned to know it ends up smelling bad. In my opinion, simply having a foam frother that you then remove and self pour would significantly increase the value of this product! And the frother also doesn’t regulate the AMOUNT of milk, and there is no sensor to prevent overflows. It relies entirely on the amount you put into the pitcher, and max will most certainly cause a mess. The espresso side is where this machine shines. It comes with 1 and 2 shot portafilter inserts, tamp and scoop, and successfully pulls shots like a champ. It will give you a genuine shot, of course with the correct espresso ground. Please do your research on shot prep, as the directions are somewhat lacking. While the espresso side shines, the entirety of the frothing assembly makes this machine generally problematic. I recommend either spending more on a reputable brand, or purchasing a separate espresso and milk frother, as your results will be much greater than you’ll get with this product. If convenience is extremely important to you and you are willing to endure the issues stated, you would enjoy this machine. That’s the two star rating, it is convenient and brews an ok latte/cappuccino when it does work. Thanks for reading. See pictures below.

   This machine is amazing, I never have to go out for coffee. I will suggest, if you’re like me and you like your lattes steaming hot make sure that you warm the milk before you add it to the filter.

   Nice espresso machine. It is a smaller unit which works perfectly for my small counter space. Came packaged nicely with easy to follow instructions. The box contents has the filter and filter basket. single and a double shot. Easy to remove water tank. The milk frothier is also easy to remove and replace. It is a bit snug to do, but it needs to be so it can work properly. There is a removable drip tray for easy rinsing and accommodates taller cups. A measuring scoop with tamper on the end. 2 o rings and a cleaning brush. Easy to clean cycle for first time use. After about my second cup of espresso I feel like I am getting the hang of using this machine. Easy to press buttons. For espresso shot you will need to be sure you have the correct size of grind. I have a bean grinder and I think I have a good grind figured out. Now I just need to learn some good recipes. This will definitely save me money in the long run. Only downside is it does not indicate the size of the porta filter. My daughter has a different machine and it takes a specific size portafilter basket. So when it is time to replace, I will need to figure out the correct size. I have read the instructions booklet several times and do not see where the size is. These filters will warp over time due to the multiple times it gets heated up, so I will just need to find the correct replacement size. The price is very reasonable. Works awesome. I recommend this machine.

    Got this expressly for espresso making. It doesn’t disappoint! Perfect foamy richness with every shot! Add water to the back, pack in some espresso grinds and in about 30 seconds a satisfying smile will appear.

    Look, I’ve had plenty of amazing espresso from high end baristas. This is not going to get you one of those pulls. But does it make a single or double shot of espresso? Yep. Does it make a decent crema? Yep. Does it do an auto cappuccino or latte? Yes. Does it do those to coffee shop quality? Not really. Also the cleaning process if you want to put milk in the tank is a real pain, so personally I’m not likely to use that very often unless we have guests. But for the money and for how relatively small the whole unit is, I’m surprisingly impressed. Simple espressos, affogatos, iced lattes, espresso tonics for relatively cheap? I’ll take it.

    I love this Amaste Expresso machine easy to set-up and use, clear directions, can select manual or auto to make coffee and easy to clean. You can store the milk compartment in the fridge. The machine does not take up a lot of space on your counter and is very easy to clean. I have always wanted an Expresso machine but thought it was too much work, this is so simple and easy to use. It is loud. My grandkids will love making their own lattes.

    So I first made a cappuccino with this machine and it turned out okay. The espresso tastes kinda thin. I made adjustments to the coffee and tried again and made an espresso only drink and it was still on the thinner side. It seems like no matter what I do, it comes out thin and there’s not a rich taste to it (even using more expensive espresso beans). It’s not bad but I prefer my drinks to taste more rich than what this produces. On the plus side, it’s not super loud and it was easy to figure out. Some espresso machines are so complicated and don’t work half the time so it was a breath of fresh air to finally get one that works. I will still use this for at home drinks because they aren’t that bad but if you are a real coffee snob, this may not be for you.

    I’ve never had an espresso machine so I was a little intimidated, but this one is very straightforward. It takes a few minutes to sort out the parts & pieces, but after the first cup it’s surprisingly easy. I was a little worried about the size at first. I drink coffee by the bucket, so 6oz isn’t going to cut it. By using the large filter and running the cycle a few times (with new grounds if desired) it’s very easy to make a bigger cup. That’s about all the comments…I don’t have any negatives. It’s small, sleek and looks great in the kitchen. For ease of use, I give it an A.

    Never have been huge on cappuccinos and espressos but this makes a pretty good cup. Pipping hot coffee for sure. It’s so simple to use it’s almost hard lol you would think it might be difficult but literally add your coffee and push a button. Milk comes out nice hot and frothed love it. Cleaning is a bit much there so much to take apart and clean out. Only draw back is it’s pretty loud when making anything. Won’t be using this while people are asleep. Top gets pretty hot has a metal top but you can’t set anything on it cuz it gets really hot when operating. Still though cool product I do love it. 5 stars from me

    My wife decided to start saying eXpresso because she found out it annoys me. What’s not annoying, is that she makes me espresso. We’ve never had one, so I can’t compare. 1 or 2 “cups” of black, minor foamed, or major foamed. Learned that cups are servings. It’s all explained in the manual. One or two button presses on the style to select amount. Easy to fill the basket in 1 or 2 size with scoop/tamper. Dairy holder comes out easily to go in fridge, that’s been nice, but have now twice wasted a load of espresso because I didn’t check the dairy from the fridge going through the machine. Clean function takes care of THAT mess internally, so that’s fun. Actual streamed milk foam is better than our heated whisk stirrer machine, so that one went away. Has somewhat of a heat up cycle, hit a button before you do the rest of the process and it’ll be up to temp by the time you get a cup under. The only thing… I feel like there’s still water in the brew basket sometimes, don’t know if we’re tamping too hard or there’s just a hint of lack of pressure in the machine. But… hey. Espresso at home. We’re using Cafe Bustelo and happy with it.
