   Quite a good product, thoughtfully designed & well-constructed. I would please like to suggest some minor but useful design changes though. First, to complement the metal, non-plastic reservoir, a metal (copper or stainless-steel) basket holding the coffee for brewing would be nice. This comports nicely with the growing health movement away from materials contributing to our ingesting micro-plastics. Second, the end of the tube flowing water into the basket should be re-designed as a fan shape to distribute the water more evenly throughout the basket. With current design, the tube allows the water to “crater” inside the basket, the water does not fully reach all the coffee resulting in weak-tasting coffee. I like the product feature that shuts the heating element off as soon as the water reaches desired temperature, which prolongs heating element life. Thank you- R. Marion, Denver, CO.

   This coffee maker is extremely well-built. It is sturdy and simple with just one button. It makes amazing coffee one cup at a time. Way better than a Keurig.

   This thing makes an excellent, consistent cup of coffee. All you have to do is bring it the right beans and it does the rest. It’s a perfect solution for people who want the freshest, hottest cup of coffee every time, not that lukewarm second cup that you get with a big carafe. The only downside is the filter sometimes gets jammed, so you need to make sure it’s clear before you brew.

   I’ve been using a V60 pour over to make my coffee for nearly a decade and this Moccamaster is better! You can also use a V60, Chemex and other brewers with it but I keep going back to the original brewer that comes with the unit and the Moccamaster filters. I’ve tried the Militta filters and their a big step down from the Moccamaster filters, I’d recommend staying with the Moccomaster filters. It’s really easy to use… fill water to the line, 2 scoops of coffee and hit the power button. I’m using a Fellow Ode grinder with SSP MP burrs, I also use distilled water with third wave water and this set up with the Cup One is really amazing, I actually prefer it to the pour overs I get at a specialty coffee shop. Very well made, will last a long time… I feel it’s well worth the money spent and if I ever need a larger brewer it’ll be the Moccamaster Select. If you’re looking for a single cup coffee maker this is the one to get!

   I am quite pleased with this, now. At first I was disappointed — the coffee was too weak for my taste. But I experimented and eventually found a grind setting and an amount of coffee that gives me the kind of strong coffee I like. I haven’t had any trouble with the little hole clogging. I wash the basket immediately after making my coffee and occasionally stick a dental brush in it. I always wet the filter with hot water before making coffee so that gives me a chance to check that water is flowing from the basket. The tiny hole is essential to the process: A bigger hole, or more holes, would result in weaker coffee.

   This was extremely expensive (even though I bought mine from the warehouse) so I hope it lasts several decades. It’s nice to be able to make a good, single cup of coffee!
