Well made, definitely better than glass, perfect size. If your aware how these work, you will love it. Coffee grind size is important, get whole beans and grind size to your liking.
Nothing. It came in a battered beat up box. None of the original packing like plug protector, or any basket. I paid over 36.00 for it and it cost 20.00 to send back. I was credited 26.00. Not right or fair. I sent him pictures of the box when I received it. Bad deal all around!
Originally bought in January 2024 first coffee pot lasted until the end of February it’s work then one day it just started to take over a hour to brew a pot of coffee they replaced it with a new coffee pot now I’m running into the same issue’s even cleaning it daily and following their cleaning instructions don’t seem to help
If you like making your own cold brew, this is exactly what you need. There are little to no coffee grounds that get threw the mesh or spout, so it’s a great design.
Makes great coffee and is perfect for a one cup day. However lately it shoots out a bunch of grounds in the beginning and end of the brewing process.
EDIT*** Somewhere in the last year or so I somehow managed to lose the rubber washer that is held in the bottom of the basket by a spring mechanism. My guess is that while cleaning the basket I must have dislodged the washer. Never did find it. I borrowed the washer from the TEA basket to hold me over (I never have used the tea basket) but I figured that it might be prudent to find a suitable replacement... just in case I lost the other washer. I DID find a great replacement at Home Depot... (see image) and it works just as well as the original. But finding this was a sort of challenge. It was in one of those 'drawer's of specialty hardware in the hardware isle... and it was totally unmarked/mismarked.. but luck was on my side (for once). So anyway... just wanted to post a picture showing the part number so that if you do need a replacement washer... you might find it here on coffeemakers.us.com.. or one of the box stores. This is the best dang coffee maker I have ever owned. A bit expensive but for us it has made great coffee consistently every day we've had it except one or two 'weird' experiences. The coffee comes out rich, dark and without any bitterness. The temperature is as hot as you would want it to be... any hotter and you'd have to wait to drink it. Just a reliable coffee maker that makes outstanding coffee. We have only used the frother a handful of times and it works quite nicely. Only a couple of times have we made less than a full pot, and we've yet to try the ice tea or iced coffee settings. I almost chose a different coffee maker because of the 'stupid' name brand on this one. I mean, c'mon... 'Ninja' sounds like a kids toy or something! But I set that aside because of all of the excellent reviews and have been enjoying great coffee ever since. I find it (mostly) easy to clean. On the reservoir I dump any excess water out each morning, making sure to push in the little plunger seal at the bottom in order to drain the water trapped under that little membrane. I had read some reviews that commented that mildew or mold was collecting. We have had no issue with this. The opening to the coffee pot itself is waaay too small to get my hands down inside to clean... so I bought one of those sponge on a stick things and that works fine. The machine is supposed to 'alert' you when descaling is required.... and ours apparently has not gotten to that point even after a year of use. Last weekend I went ahead and descaled with vinegar and water... ran a couple of 'rinse' cycles and never experienced any off taste.... at all. I love my morning coffee black with no sugar.... but whatever coffee is left over from breakfast I funnel into an empty plastic water bottle, add hazelnut creamer and place in the freezer for 2-3 hours and it comes out a sort of semi-frozen coffee slush that makes for an outstanding thirst quencher. Enjoying one now... as a matter of fact. I am glad to be able to give this coffee maker a positive review as we have enjoyed the quality of coffee it produces for the last year or so... in spite of the silly name.
When pouring a fresh cup of coffee from coffee pot leaks. Doesn't matter how fast or angle the pot leaks. One thing i notice if pot is cooled down it doesn't leak when pouting?
After running four or five K-cups through the Hamilton Beach coffee maker, problems occurred. The consumer help site made several suggestions on resolving K-cup problems which were followed, without any positive results. The seller provided no positive support. Would not buy again.
Fast. 6min, 5 cup brew and Hot. I have been looking for a small coffee maker that had a warming plate And auto shut off. Couldn't find both features and most auto shut off after 30min. This one has both and the auto shut off is 2hrs. I was worried about the fast 6min brew time and getting weak flavor. However, I was proven wrong. The coffee flavor is perfect. Just as important is that it comes out hot even using the required Cold water to start and it stays hot. No need for a stop brew for an early pour since it brews in 6min. Love this little pot and highly recommend it. Great price for the perfect maker.
So far, it has been working as expected. I get a smooth tasting coffee every time. It takes about 20 mins if full of water to produce a full flavored jar of cold brew. It is on the quiet side but on video sounds louder that what it really is.
A great percolator that requires no coffee filter! It was hard to find good unbleached filters and I didn’t care for filters anyway. When I got the presto it never would work without filters. And even with filters, there were always some grounds. The presto also has a hard to clean pour spout. The farberware can be cleaned effortlessly in every nook and cranny! And the basket has such a good design that no filters are needed and no grounds in the coffee! Great coffee flavor too.
I have been making iced coffee my way for long time, That is almost the same way with this ice coffee maker without this tool. This way is a lot easier and I can always make tasty iced coffee. I drink lot of ice coffee in the summer. I need to make more than 4 cups, so I make 650ml of iced coffee with 50g dark roasted coffee beans with this ice coffee maker. The ice cube strainer doesn't hold a lot of cubes, so I add extra 5,6 ice cubes in the strainer while dripping coffee. I drip coffee until 750ml and take off the dripper. If the ice coffee is still warm, I add a couple of ice cubes to make the coffee colder and take out strainer before all ice cubes are gone. I am very happy to purchase this ice coffee maker. I will enjoy my favorite ice coffee now!!
I’ve been craving a really good cold brew that I can make for myself and friends and family! It made a very smooth tasting brew that I loved! The product itself is very easy to take a part and clean! Love love love!!
This is a sleek black portable coffee maker. To look at it, it almost looks like a travel mug of sorts, but once you pull the lid off the top, you can see there are high quality stainless steel percolator components inside. To make coffee with this device (while unplugged): 1) Fill coffee maker with cold water (filtered is always best for coffee). 2) Re-insert percolator components 3) Fill percolator with about 2 scoops of coffee (my personal preference) 4) Replace lid firmly on coffee maker and plug into power. 5) Touch the button on the maker one time to turn on, another time until it displays '01 coffee' 6) Wait approx 3 minutes, and pour (without removing lid) and enjoy! Overall: This is a great little coffee maker, it has an attractive/minimalist looking design, it can fit nicely in a backpack or luggage. However, the most important detail is it makes an incredible cup of coffee! This would work well to make a single cup of coffee right at your desk or cubicle. I could see someone who works 3rd shift and maybe doesn't want to brew a full pot of coffee, you could easily make a single cup of fresh coffee - all you really need is an outlet. Important note: This unit can not be fully submerged in water, and therefore it is not dishwasher safe! Handwashing is not a problem for me, but that might be a consideration for you (so I'm mentioning it)? Final rating: 5-stars!
I left Cartagena Colombia with a lot of really good Colombian coffee. I was using a drip coffee maker there. When I got home my K-Cup unit couldn't compare, using fillable K-Cups. I had to get a drip maker. The Krups (with a cone filter) was on sale for $31. What a difference ! Now my coffee tasted excellent as it did in Colombia. I don't think I would pay full price for this Krups maker (around $60.) though. I think the cone filter is a good feature to have in a coffee maker, really helping to concentrate and extract the flavor of the coffee. I can get a good coffee maker with the cone filter for less than half the full price of the Krups. That said, the Krups has a 2 year warrantee and spare parts are readily available. The Krups is a really handsome coffee maker , looking good on my counter top. As I write this, it's on sale for $47.50.
