Decided on this one because its listing says it's dishwasher safe. Instructions say otherwise and the metal feet are pressed too tight to the glass to separate the parts for cleaning without damaging it. It seems like a decent enough product, but that's a dealbreaker for me.
I am receiving a rebate for trying out the new Braun MultiServe Plus Drip Coffee Maker. I really out enjoyed testing it. It has lots of brewing options (size of drink, strength of drink, hot or cold) and it’s easy to use. Just turn a dial and/or push a button and you’re ready to brew your ideal cup of coffee. I usually make one cup at a time and it’s nice to be able to fill the resivour at the top of the day, vs having to fill exactly the amount for each cup (which has been required in other brands). And I’m especially excited to be able to also use this machine to easily brew iced coffee to have in the fridge, ready to drink on hot days. My only reason for taking off a star is that it does take up more counter space than I’d like. And I’d prefer a stainless steel carafe as I find glass ones usually break. I was tempted to take off another star for a strange phenomenon: when brewing is complete the amount in the cup is 1/2 the amount of brewing selection. I specifically measured the quantity of water my cup holds (12 oz) and the result was 1/2 full cup (6 oz). And this was using the Gold (not Bold) option. I decided to not knock off a star because this could allow me to brew espresso like drinks, ie., adding water for an Americano, or milk for a latte.
We really like this coffee maker; it is replacing our 10-year-old Melitta. It is easy to use and clean. The main reason that we picked this one is it uses a cone filter which we prefer. Our only complaint it that the handle on the carafe was installed crooked. It doesn't affect the performance of the unit, just looks odd. Hamilton Beach wanted us to destroy it before the would send us a voucher to buy another one. this coffee maker is only a month old.
The coffee maker had a broken piece right out of the box! I can still make coffee with it but I have to push the steamer by hand to clean and pour water into the reservoir. Unfortunately, coffeemakers.us.com does not handle the claims for this product so I have to deal with the manufacturer ... "Bella". I requested a replacement in November and no response until March for the receipt and product code. Its now May and no other response from them and the worst part is the Coffee Maker just stopped working ... so the broken product does not last a year!!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM BELLA ... would never buy there products again ... its a hassle and doesnt seem like anyone works there!!
I used it for less than a week and the strap came off at the stitching. I’m still trying to get the perfect water to coffee ratio figured out but the coffee maker is very convenient for travel. I’m debating returing it for the defective strap which I found convenient to have.
This coffee maker lid opens up from the left hand side. Not really good for me being a left-handed, but I think the idea behind this is so that you don't have to keep moving your coffee maker away from the back wall every time you want to load it. The lid is kinda in my way when I am trying to fill the basket with grounds. My solution was to place this coffee pot on a very small rolling plant holder (about 11X11 inches) with small casters. (also found on coffeemakers.us.com) This way I can rotate the coffee maker around so I can reach it at a better angle. Overall I think this is one of the better coffee makers as far as aesthetics goes! Very good looking faux stainless which is different from most coffee makers. I like that this has a 4 hour warmer on it because some only have a 2 hour "keep warm" option. And last, my favorite feature is the flip-lid. My previous coffee maker had a pop-off lid and both my husband and I found it to be a pet peeve.
Received this machine this morning March 2nd. Was extremely excited as I spend lots of time on planes I wanted a strong espresso made with good water. Well turned the machine on and immediately gave me the error for what’s called in the User Guide “SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION.” There’s no number to even call. You have to send an email. Looked at the reviews here and apparently this is a known issue with this piece of crap. Don’t spend your money on this. I was so excited for good strong coffee. ********UPDATE******* I was contacted by the brand. They informed me they this was some sort of malfunction and the machine needed to be replaced. They replaced it and I was able to make coffee successfully finally. So far it’s working fine as intended the machine
This is a cute, smaller K Cup brewer with limitations. There's no reservoir so that you can make multiple cups of coffee. Basically, you will pour the amount of water you want for your brewing experience. Filled to the brim, you can put almost 24 ounces of water in the reservoir, which also has a removable screen filter. The maker will heat and dispense all the water you put in the reservoir. That can be handy just for heating water. The heating and brewing process seems to take around four to five minutes. I think that's a pretty decent time for accomplishing the heating, and I found that my heated water was above 170*F in my mug. The drip tray has two heights in addition to being completely removable. A container of around 7-1/2" can get under the dispenser area with the drip tray removed. The maker is nice and compact. I think the top will lend itself to some durability in transport. As I expect to be able to use this in our camper van, I do have a concern in problematic operation over 4,000 ft which would be an issue in the Rocky Mountain region. For travel, that might make it a "no go" for some, but it is simple and easy to use.
This french press does what it's supposed to do. Simple construction. Plastic outer case with a plastic lid. The filter portion is simple. It keeps the grounds contained. I wish it had measurement numbers in the vertical window. Very minor. Overall, quite happy with this press.
Elegant looking! Great quality! First time user friendly!
I bought this to save some money, as I have an incurable addiction to Dunkin’ Cold Brew. At $4 a day for a large cold brew, it starts to add up quickly. With this unit, I buy about $6 worth of coffee which can make about 25 cups of cold brew, which saves me about $94 per 25 cups. Pretty awesome. Set up is simple. Fill the liner to the top with coarsely ground coffee (I don’t weigh it in grams, just fill until you no longer see the white liner) and then slowly pour water over the grounds and lightly stir. Fill with water until water fills to about half way where the handle is. Some let it brew for 24 hours, but I find that 12 hours in the fridge is the sweet spot for smooth, delicious coffee. I don’t drink it with ice, so I add about 4 oz of water to the pitcher just to dilute the concentrate a little and add some more overall quantity. A bit of milk and this is a dream. Easy, inexpensive and the BEST way to drink coffee. Get it.
This is actually a very impressive coffee maker. My old one was pretty basic, but this one has a lot of nice features. I like the way you can take the water tank to the faucet to fill, rather than have to fill the carafe, then use that to fill the machine (less spillage). I also like the way you can select single cup servings by size. To check this, I put a measuring cup in the single cup shelf and set the dial to 16 ounces and selected hot water - to my surprise, I got exactly 16 ounces of water! So I thought I'd test this further and I set the hot water temperature for 85 deg C. This was a little tricky, because I was trying to let the small stream of hot water flow over the tip of my temperature probe. Again, it was surprisingly accurate (I actually registered 84 degrees). One minor nitpick - it could find no way to switch to Fahrenheit readings. Another thing I like. I have a pet peace about carafes that dont cleanly pour. I get annoyed when I get drips of coffee all over my counter while pouring myself a cup. This one pours neatly - no complaints with this design. It's only a 10 cup carafe - that suits my needs. But if you're used to the 12 cup variety, then you'll have to plan on using that single cup option to make up the difference, I suppose. One thing that's both a feature and a complaint - i always rely on coffeemakers check valves to keep coffee from dripping when I remove thg he carafe to pour myself a cup. This one has a lever to stop the drip. I can see where this would be a feature to stop the brewing whenever you need to for various cups, etc. But I can see myself forgetting to slide the lever over when simply removing the carafe for that first cup (while it's still brewing). Plus - it looks nice on the counter. Overall, I like this new coffeemaker.
As a dedicated collector of Hello Kitty and Sanrio items for many years, I have devoted several rooms in my home to showcasing my collection, including a special Hello Kitty-themed kitchen. My admiration for Hello Kitty is immense, and I take great joy in curating and displaying my collection. Despite its low cost, it functions effectively and is a worthwhile purchase! Buy one!
This is a nice cold brew filter. The filter is very nice. The bottle is not though. The glass is so fragile though. The top portion chipped/broke off from just putting the lid on. I have been very carefull with it, but this still happened.
Received the Flex-Brew with insulated carafe coffee maker a little over 2 months ago. It has worked great every day. The only problem I have noticed is that the writing on the brew/power button is almost gone. Apparently the printing is directly on the button and it is wearing off with use. They need to improving the printing technique. Other than that it makes a nice cup or pot of coffee and the insulated carafe keeps the coffee warm for quite a while.
