Makes good coffe and easy to use. However after using only about once a day for less than a month this piece became loose and won't stay attached. It is difficult to get it to work now.
We have a original nespresso and decided to get a vertuo as well because we enjoy the flavor of Nespresso coffee. If you are a coffee snob, this is for you. The vertuo crème is so amazing, you will use less creamer in your coffee than with a traditional maker. Before the vertuo I would drink between 2-4 16oz mugs of drip coffee a day! I used a lot of steamed heavy whipping cream back then to take the edge of the bitter acidity. Now, I use very little cream because the Nespresso flavor is smooth and tastes like coffee smells. Because of the price and even more so the powerful taste and strength of the coffee, I find I drink use two 7.7oz pods in the morning and that does it for me. I sometimes crave another in the day (as a treat because it tastes so damn good), but I rarely have more because I’m coffee-ed out! While I want the price of the pods to drop, I have to admit the quality is worth the cost. We tried Pete’s in our Nespresso original because there was a cheap value pack at Costco. I love Pete’s Coffee when it comes to choosing a chain-coffee shop, but the Nespresso brand pods (original) were noticeably much better. Quality is worth the price for coffee lovers, so if you can lower the price without sacrificing quality that would be great—but don’t lower quality to lower the price! We buy our pods direct from Nespresso. It arrives within 3-4 days and usually contains some kind of small gift. Top notch company! Wishlist: I am hoping Nespresso makes a vertuo pod (again) that is bigger than the 7.7oz like the discontinued Aldo size.
After a mini-remodel, I have white cabinets & counter and stainless appliances. This Braun coffee maker incorporates both elements. I was worried a white coffee maker would look messy with coffee drips all the time. Not so. Its easy to use, brews good coffee & looks good.
Fits Perfectly on my computer this nice for study . studying while my coffee is making It works and I am pleased with Cuz😂It works and I am pleased with it because my sister has a bigger coffee machine that works more and I don’t know how to use it and I was working so I got me this my new one that’s easy to use.
Esta maquina esta hermosa, se ve fuerte y tiene todo lo que buscaba en 1 sola cafetera. Espero que cuando empiece a usarla me de el sabor del cafe colombiano que me gusta. Intenso y con aroma!!
This worked our perfectly for a camping trip. I haaaate most instant coffees and it was nice to be spoiled with good espresso in the morning before taking on some big hikes. Very easy to useful, gives your hand a bit of a workout if you need to do it more than twice. For cold mornings, I definitely recommend running some hot water through it first before making the espresso. Overall, I'm very happy with it and I know this will be an essential part of my camping kit.
I am adding photos with a mug to convey the size of this mega brewer. I’m editing this to try and help others choose one of the Keureg brewers. Deciding on a model shouldn’t take as much work as choosing a car. This model 475 might be the right one for a family of more than one coffee drinker. I think the descriptions here could be more descriptive and less hyperbolic. Just the facts please. For me, the attraction if Keurig is the reusable k cups. But this model requires the new one (2.0) or one of the universal K Cups to adapt to any model. Why? Because this model and a couple others uses proprietary Keureg pods and k cups that have to be read/scanned by the brewer or the machine won’t brew. And while there are some other brands with 2.0 readable pods the choice is limited. Also negative IMHO is the mug and carafe limitations—very limited choice of Keureg proprietary pods and they do not have a reusable k mug or k carafe filter option. I can see how the large water tank would appeal to families. Single people however just can do without it and save space. And the programable feature (for me) has only one additional attraction over non programmable models — temperature control. That is a star worthy feature. Make hottest for a travel mug, medium for drinking at hone. Beyond that it’s all just bells and whistles. I’m okay with pushing buttons for brew size and type. I was expecting the program to actually brew my first morning mug of coffee to awaken to the aroma. Nope. The auto on setting only starts the heat cycle. You still have to get lift the lid, insert pod, close lid, place mug, choose your brew size etc and then press start. My recommendation is to visit the Keurig website where you will be able to read more about each model and see FAQs about k-cup compatibility with which model and truly conpre features to choose a model that will suit your coffee brewing needs and your kitchen AND utility bill. After buying this monster, I went to the Keurig site and figured out that the model with features most suited to my coffee needs (fast, easy, decent water reservoir and brew features as well as a sleek design that takes up less space than the 475 monster. For me, the best model is the K250 Select Plus. — large enough water reservoir to brew additional cups or mugs without refilling, easier essential program features, and fast brew. I’m optimistic this one will meet my expectations. BTW Keurig if you’re listening—you’re selling a coffee maker. It’s in your best interests to give new customers a better and bigger selection of pods of the 6 that came with mine, only the Newman Organic actually tasted like a decent cup of coffee. The rest were blech. End of edit. Hope this helps someone. One star more than it deserves. I’m so disappointed. I fell for all the ads (and reviews) boasting ease if use and great cup of coffee brewed to your taste. The machine is HUGE! Far bigger than I anticipated. I could deal with the intrusion if it truly made a cup of coffee that justified its enormity. It doesn’t. I tried each of the six sampke pods (including the hot chocolate) and a variety of settings. I even used my own coffee in the reusable kcup (purchased separately). I am a coffee snob. I expect great coffee from a big bear of a machibe like this. I am utterly disappointed and have initiated return.
Item came broken
I love that this small pour over coffee make is portsble because I am able to take it when I travel. The glass carafe is beautifully made. I wish it would have been packaged with at least simple instructions. There weren't any instructions or at least one coffee filter to get a feel of how the coffee maker functions. Overall, this is a great buy and would make a great gift.
This was a lovely coffee maker for people who don’t have a lot of time in the morning. Easy to use, easy to clean, and consistent. However, after light use for 4 months, it stopped working. I pressed brew, it started to work, and then stopped after a few seconds and I smelled burning plastic/wires. I called Keurig and they were quick to respond as it was still under warranty. Sounds like there is a recurrent issue with the wiring.
The cord is coated with white paint. Will not come off.
Update…October 27… Just went to make coffee with the replacement, and only got 1/3 of a cup. Don’t know what’s wrong, this time, but I’m done with it. I guess even though the company had sent a replacement and was very responsive the first time, I think it just might not be a good product that lasts. I will make an attempt to see what the problem is, but I’m not hopeful. *********************************************** I loved this machine until coffee flooded out through bottom of machine twice in a row. Bought it in January. It was fine until yesterday. Hopefully, I can get some satisfaction through coffeemakers.us.com or the company that makes it. Maybe I got a damaged machine. Update: contacted the Mixpresso web site and explained the situation. They were wonderful and sent me a replacement within two weeks. Hopefully, this machine will be better than the first one.
Our other one broke I ordered this off coffeemakers.us.com. It’s a great coffee pot so far it works perfect stores underneath our cabinet. It’s not too big. No complain. Complaints for me. Five out of five.
Does exactly what it’s supposed to, no issues at all after a month almost and we use it regularly. I love the “Strong Brew” feature, main reason we went with this one, along with the large reservoir. But no complaints so far, I’ll update if anything happens worth revisiting for. Update 4/13/20: So I experienced what I had read that a few other users experienced, where the machine starts spewing the water and grounds through the top where the k-cup is placed. I place the k-cup in, select my desired settings and off it goes. It makes a noise like it's straining to do it's job, and nothing comes out. I lift the lid and set it back down, and try again. The third attempt is when the water and grounds start leaking from the top. So I think, "Great, I got one of the bad units I read about..." BUT, as it turns out...the k-cup I was using, its plastic casing was pretty sturdy and the bottom could not be pierced properly, so the k-cup would fill up and overflow. I tried it again with the same brand coffee (Deathwish Coffee), same issue. I tried a Bustelo k-cup, worked fine. So I would recommend to check the k-cups you buy and make sure to check the bottom of the k-cup if your machine overflows. It's not that the machine is defective and spitting out your coffee, it's that some k-cup are not as easily pierced at the bottom side as most. Just wanted to share this, since I would think most people would just be like "gotta take this unit back or throw it out...", but don't just yet!
