Didn't get hot plus the burn edge is broken allso the side is broke and missing parts broke missing parts
The good... I gave it two stars because the coffee tasted very good and cleanup was easy. The bad... The finish on the funnel started peeling (see picture) after the first use. Even more disappointing is the claim it makes three cups. I realize a "cup" of coffee is often a mere 5oz. The instructions say to use only 8oz of water, so that's only about half of three 5oz cups. My 16oz mug got only half full (see picture). Sure I could have heated more water, pulled the plunger out after the first press, poured more water in, and pushed the plunger through again, but what a hassle. I also do not know what that would have done to the taste. It is easier (or at least just as easy) to continue using my Ninja brewer. This is going back.
I bought this to replace a more expensive one where the glass broke, this one is soooo much better , sturdier and has a great top seal, even included a cleaning sponge...i highly recommend
I totally can’t believe everything this coffee maker does! It bruised me a pot of fresh coffee, I can also make iced coffee. Which means now I can get rid of my Keurig, and my coffee maker. That’s gonna save me a ton of room on my kitchen counter. I’m so impressed by this coffee maker. my neighbor came over yesterday for coffee and she was highly satisfied with the cup of coffee that I served her. Now she wants me to make her iced coffee. The quality is excellent. I highly recommend this coffee maker.
I love ❤️ my new tea maker lol 😆
Makes coffee well but within a couple months a single cell of the display went out and now several are no longer working. It replaced a 10 year old machine and it's display was working great still so must be down to the quality of parts smeg uses. Anyone know where I can find a replacement display?
Love this vintage coffee maker, goes with my decor and it brews a great cup of coffee, so far so good!
I got this and used it 4 days. And got it because I am 73 and live alone. I wasted a lot of coffee making too much in regular pot. One cup at a time is ideal for me. I used it bout 6 days...gave my old pot away. Now it won't make my coffee. No book or papers were with it. I watched the video on line to use it .
We purchased this in April of 2023. It has never worked well, and as of April 2025 we are looking for a replacement. Edit: I forgot to mention the reason we are looking to replace it: now, almost every day, the pot is leaking water. It's not spilling coffee. The clean fresh water is puddling from somewhere under the pot. We aren't spilling it and we can't figure out where, how, or why it is leaking. We are looking to replace it before we get electrocuted from a plugged-in appliance sitting in a puddle of water. (See photo. We filled the pot to "10" but when it brewed, it only filled to "6". The rest pooled under the coffee maker and completely soaked a kitchen towel to dripping.) We previously had a Black & Decker coffee maker for years. The design has significantly changed. 1. The body of the coffee maker wraps around most of the carafe. This directs all the steam up the middle of the front of the coffee maker, causing the following problems: A. The steam messes up the coffee maker's computer and turns it off in the middle of brewing or sometimes afterwards so you find the whole coffee pot has gone cold. B. The "stainless steel" buttons on the front are silver plastic that quickly became completely stained brown from coffee steam. This cannot be cleaned. (See photo) 2. The design of the coffee basket is AWFUL. A. The handle of the basket always gets snagged up when we are disposing of the filter and flips soggy coffee grounds all over the floor and trash can. B. If you remove the handle to avoid this, you can't remove the basket from its' place. We tried that and had to put it back on. C. The filter's pace of dripping the coffee into the pot doesn't match the machine's pace of putting hot water into the filter basket. So the filter gets super full, and grounds always go up and around the filter and end up in the coffee pot. Yum! D. The "sneak-a-cup" technology is a little silicone washer/seal that holds the coffee in the basket when you remove the carafe if it is still brewing. This has disappeared during normal washing, twice. So now the coffee just freely pours out if it is not completely done brewing. Don't buy it. Find something else!
This coffee pot is not the best. It turns off on its own and does not brew very strong. I use a lot of coffee and pack it tight. Going to return it.
I've had this coffee maker for six years and it's been perfect. I've never needed to replace the carafe or the filter, and I've only ever used the reusable filter it came with. It's relatively easy to wash, it's light and I've traveled with it a couple times. It definitely seems like experiences have varied, but I've even left mine on accidentally until the coffee evaporated and it didn't break. Some people have mentioned the lid is hard to close. It is designed so that you need to close the lid before putting the carafe underneath. This isn't intuitive, but it works - the carafe pushes up on the dripper, and this prevents it from continuing to pour out if you remove the carafe partway through brewing to pour coffee, but it also means you have to close the top until it snaps, then put the carafe underneath.
I can’t tell how durable this glass is, but it’s extremely light weight! I love how perfect this is for a single cup of coffee. I don’t use the measuring lines on the side for brewing since I typically use a food scale to add exactly the same amount of water through exactly the same amount of grounds every time, but they look nice. The shape is really unique, and something I really like about this budget chemex alternative is that unlike other ones, the glass actually has a path for the air to flow while your pouring water over the coffee (see second picture). If a pour over coffee maker doesn’t have something like this where the glass is bent to make an escape for the air, it can get really sputter-ie.
This seller is top notch. I am a coffee snob and I was searching for a versatile coffee maker/k pod friendly machine for a quite some time. To say that I was nervous purchasing a refreshed/refurbished item is putting it mildly. But the item arrived on time and in excellent condition. Not a scratch on it. Not a blemish. Just beautiful. It was never used and I was blown away. Just spectacular. My family and I have been using it daily for a month now, and it checks all the boxes; mom's fresh ground fine expresso roast, dads over ice pods, the 20+’somethings tea pods, and the teens organic pods and keeps chugging along beautifully day after day. Now a bit of advice, that has also been mentioned by others, you “must” clear out the pod needles to keep them from clogging. Or you may have a mess on your hands the next time you brew a pod. But to be fair, my family forgets occasionally and we haven’t had any disasters (except that one time). Pros: versatile well performing machine and it keeps a pot warm for up to four hours. Gives you the option to select bold brew. The water reservoir for the pod side can make up to three 10oz cups a day. Cons: the reservoir for the coffee maker is situated toward the back of the machine and is quite narrow so you have to be careful when adding water. Remembering to clear out the pod needles daily to avoid a disaster. But, regardless i’d still purchase it. I just wish I had done so sooner
Perfect coffee maker for me as programmable and easy to use...! So far so good and the price was right, as well as the delivery timing...! Thank you. Marc.
I think it's pretty good, the brewing ability is great. It's easy to clean and use. I'm sure the coffee taste will depend on your preference and depending on what brand of coffee grounds you use. The coffee stays hot, I would say about 2hrs. So if you just want a standard non expensive coffee maker then this will work for you.
