  • As a French press, it makes good coffee and keeps it warm for an extended amount of time. However, aesthetically the color wrap that was used to give it a copper color started peeling off after a little over a year of owning it. It’s always hand washed so it shouldn’t be peeling the way it is now.

  • Edited 3-10-2025 K-cups are designed to make only 6-8 ounces of coffee. This is not enough. Fortunately, this maker has a basket filter for bulk grinds. I will need to open two pods to make one 12-ounce serving. Keep this in mind if you're considering a K-pod system unless you drink very little or weak coffee. I had previously given this one star, due to the terrible design and lack of instructions on how to open the filter pod. It is not immediately obvious, even to someone as mechanical as myself, repairing things like automobiles, televisions, washing machines, being an electronics tech for over 40 years, etc. I finally had to pry this thing open with a dental pick tool. After this, the method to open would appear to be to hold it in both hands and press your thumb up on the plastic plastic piece shown on the left side of my photo. The other thing I will alert you to when you open this coffeemaker and wonder why the K-pod holder appears to be missing is that they pack it into the water reservoir. So, these annoyances aside, how does the Horavie K1500 fare? Being retired and living alone with absolutely no friends, I finally realized that I'll likely never be making coffee for anyone other than myself and I typically brew 12 ounces at a time. The compact footprint of the K1500 takes very little real estate from my very small counters. The fact that I can just brew straight into my thermal cup means no carafe to clean or pour from. The K-pods mean I don't need to bend a cone filter's edges, grind coffee beans, or measure in grounds. These may seem like trivial things, but once you retire, you start thinking about ways to reduce the little daily chores. At least, I have. This is why I've "Smartitized" the house, automating practically everything: lights, fans, heaters, stereo, television, etc. Aside from opening the filter pod, this K1500 is easy to deploy. The first thing is just to add 12 ounces of water to it, place a cup in the stand, an push the button on top. I like the fact they put it on top instead of on the side of the base. Very convenient. Empty the first "brewed" water and grab a K-pod. I'm assuming this is the primary reason people buy this coffeemaker. This is my first experience with K-pod makers. I would never buy the overpriced Keurig units, especially aftwr discovering they actually put cameras in some of them to try and prevent consumers from using other than Keurig coffee pods. What a jerk move. By the way, if you own one of these, just save the foil tops from Keurig pods and tape them to the top of your other brand pods. This K1500 does indeed brew a 12-oz cup in under 2 minutes. There is, of course, no hot plate, so I advise using an insulated cup. The blue one in my photo has a capacity of 16 ounces and works well. I also bought it on coffeemakers.us.com. The unit turns itself off. I add my sugar before brewing, so I need only to stir and snap on the lid. The temperature of the coffee is slightly on the lower side. The best coffee is brewed between 190 and 205 degrees Fahrenheit. This maker does not come close to reaching these temperatures. I measured the stream with a laser thermometer and found it to be around 160-165 degree at its hottest. This should be adequate for most people. The first coffee pods I purchased are Mel's Drive-In Diner Blend. I will not review them until I've tasted them more, but the initial opinion is okay.

4th update: Long journey, we sent the machine to repair, took long but so far so good,, it's been almost a year and it is still working; since I suspected was the rubber that holds the pod... we have kept the machine open... can't tell if that's the reason why this machine is still working good but I am not going to do the opposite just to know. 3rd update: After a month and a Half... BAM starts to leak again, same problem... now I can't even complaint, surfed the Breville's web page for customer support, followed the system... and this machine doesn't even exist as an option. I am trying to reach an coffeemakers.us.com in order to solve this problem, reading all the other complaints I DO FEEL SCAM, too many people complaining about the same, they know what are they selling. I had a refund, I wish my machine at least worked for a year, I love Nespresso... guess I need to dig and research for a better option for a vertuo machine. 2nd update: I insisted a second time and found an agent that finally helped me and soon will have a replacement, hopes are not lost, I am happy I didn't give up. Update: Terrible! It started to leak and took me a few days to realize what was happening because it started like a small thing and now it's a disaster. It leaks coffee and since I contacted coffeemakers.us.com 3 days after return window... I dont get any help on fixing this problem. I see many ppl complaining about the same. Our Keurig recently died (almost 5 years) so we were looking for a replacement, found an offer on black friday and BAM! We are hook. The quality of the coffee is great, pods aren't cheap but if you compare how much money you spend on a single drink on starbucks... this is a good deal, is very easy to operate, we found even refillable pods to be more green. Cant deny that you have more options with the Keurig but honestly they got too expensive and now I love to have this new machine, a good change to spice the coffee.

  • This Mr. Coffee pot is a really well-done coffee pot. It’s simple to use but at the same time has some handy features and makes a great pot of coffee. The LED display is pretty basic but it works well. It’s programmable so you can set it at night so it’s freshly brewed when you wake up. Not a new feature as that’s been standard for coffee pots for a while now but this one is very simple to program and I like that it has the led clock too. The one feature that really impressed me here and is something I use regularly is the ‘grab-a-cup’ auto-pause. That is something that I wish had been on coffee pots for a long time. When you want to grab a cup before it’s finished brewing the whole pot, now you can and you don’t have to get burned or worry about the coffee getting all over the place while you do it. That’s a huge feature for me and many people I know. Another nice feature is the 4-hour freshness indicator. That’s probably not a big deal for personal usage but if you're getting this for a small office or a big family then it’s great. The warmer on this pot works well and keeps the coffee hot. It does also have a built-in clean cycle. I haven’t really noticed that making a big difference yet but I’ve also just started using it. I know as far as the filters go I probably am not going to be running out and buying replacements. They give you one to start but I’ve never been one to keep up with replacing them in my appliances. I generally only use bottled water in my small appliances either way. As far as looks go, they did a great job with making this match a modern updated kitchen. It matches stainless steel appliances and looks very sleek. I like that the power cord tucks inside the machine. It keeps it so you don't have to worry about the excess cord. I'm really happy with this coffee pot. It's pulled me away from using the single-serve machines I have. I think they did a great job of updating this to a more modern design. The price point is fair. Good product all around.

Excellent!! The first one I ordered came and looked like it was used for 10 year’s, I sent it back right away. The second one came it was exactly what I was looking for. If you use fresh coffee you will truly notice a difference in your morning cup. My wife and I could not be more pleased with this purchase!!

I love this pour over and would recommend it to everyone. Just as good as the coffee house.

  • Energize your coffee with this portable Nitro Cold brew coffee maker. Ideal for picnic, travel, and replacement of your boring coffee container. Charge it with Nitrous Oxide to makes your drink richer, fuller and enjoyable to the last drop. Suggestions; Plastic nozzle cap is prone to losing. I recommend attaching a thin wire and tie it to the keg. I love riding motorcycle and I always carry this with me by securing it on my luggage rack (see one of my picture).. one important reminder though.. remove the black plastic tap handle, because engine and road vibration will loosen it and gradually fall out. Minor issue: After each use, expect few droplets that will come out of the nozzle, which is by the way normal yet something you need to consider. What I usually do, I wipe the nozzle with clean cloth / napkin then put the rubber cap after each use. Just remember to discard liquid inside the rubber cap. I guess, it's bye bye startbucks.. Hello, N2O Cold Brew Coffee Maker... Two thumbs up!!!

After about 1 month of daily use, I really like this coffee maker. The coffee is brewed hot, so it stays hot in the carafe for a couple of hours. I purchased this coffee maker from coffeemakers.us.com Warehouse (was I assume a return). There was a metalic scorch smell the first couple of days. I chalked it up as a breaking in period. After about 5 to 10 pots of coffee that was gone. My only beef is the design. While you brew your coffee with the carafe perfectly under the hanging basket, after brewing you screw on the lid. Will no longer fit under the hanging basket. I completely understand why. I think the quality of the brewed coffee makes up for that minor flaw. (After almost 2 years, I still love this coffee maker. That being said, the lid to the carafe has broken twice. About nine months after daily use, the plastic pin snapped inside the lid. It was still usable but not a good seal as steam and heat seeped out. I purchased a replacement lid. All was back to normal until the same thing happened. Now on lid number three. It still makes great/hot coffee. The lid thing is my only beef.

This coffee maker makes some of the best coffee but has a horrible flaw. It steams so bad that it literally melts itself. All of the buttons on the front have melted and begun to fall out. Just wish it had happened before the return cut off.

  • This Hamilton Beach Flex Brew 5-in-1 coffee maker is really nice. Single brew Iced or Hot (K-Cup pod or coffee grounds), 12 cup coffee pot for multiple servings, all in one unit. We were able to remove 2 coffee maker off of the counter and replace it with this single unit to optimize our counter space. And it works great! A great water reservoir makes it nice and convenient as well. It’s also amazing you have options for how to attach the water reservoir to help optimize counter space. The function pad is also amazing. I can’t say enough out this coffee maker and I highly recommend it.

This coffee system is fantastic out of the box. Remember this is a Braun coffee maker and the machine lives up to the Braun name. The packing was secure-everything arrived intact. The first thing I saw was two sets of instructions. You get both the quick start and the more detailed information. The machine itself is solid. It is not too heavy but it just feels solid and like not breakable. I was able to start the machine, run a few pots of clear water, set the clock and make a cup of coffee using the quick start guide. The coffee maker comes w a double sided measuring spoon. You can see close ups on the product information on coffeemakers.us.com. . Another good feature is the “gold” filter. This means another savings/less waste. You can brew coffee without paper filters. I got this machine because I am on a mission to make a single cup of coffee without using pods This is it!! I just made 8oz of coffee using the suggested measurements. Delicious!! A good thing for me is that the coffee comes out hot. I mention this because I’d be careful of letting young children use it. I love hot coffee! I’m so pleased to be able to make 8 or 12 ounces of coffee, no waste! I highly recommend this machine. Making an investment w high quality, well-known brands is really the way to go. I consider Braun appliances to be well designed and well made. I expect to be using this coffee pot for many years ahead!! Highly recommend.

Like a few other people have said now, I feel I have to add my voice to the concerns over the carafe. We've only used the machine three times now, and as I went to put the lid back on the glass carafe, using a gentle wiggling motion, not pushing straight down on it, it shattered under my hand. I have now three cuts of varying severity on my fingers, and I feel like I got off lucky. This is not a joke folks! If you want the machine to use to make coffee, fine. BUT PLEASE! REPLACE THE CARAFE WITH SOMETHING BETTER!!! We are now using a plastic container to catch the coffee, but I'm sure some actual QUALITY glass, like Pyrex, would also be fine. BE CAREFUL when you use that carafe!

  • I ordered this "Leopard, S" for my drip coffee maker, and ended up using it for my large 14-cup food processor. I wonder if I received the LARGE size vs. the SMALL size? The leopard pattern is cute, with matching colors to my cabinets. The dust cover is well-made with double side seams and a pull tab at top. It should last a good while. DIMENSIONS: Size-wise, the actual dimensions are approximately 17"H x 8"W x 11"D. It fit fine on my drip coffee maker. However, I had also been looking for a food processor cover. This cover was larger than stated in the seller description, and it fit perfectly on my large and tall food processor! I'm really pleased to find the perfect-fitting cover. My photos show the cover on both the drip coffee maker and the large food processor. TIP: If the cover is too tall but otherwise fits your appliance, remember that you can always fold up (either tape it or sew it). My coffee maker photo does show it folded under as the cover was a bit tall.

UPDATE: Less than a month after I posted this review, the darn thing died completely. Like it will light up when you plug it in, but the heating element is gone and it won't brew anymore. I contacted Cuisinart in early March and they said they'd ship a replacement. It is now June and I've yet to receive that replacement. I was told "oops, we did not send the replacement" (accidentally?!) and please wait another 21 business days. I've been using the small coffee maker from our camper in the meantime. Had I know this was going to go into being a months long process, I might have just sprung for another darned coffee maker. Terrible customer service. I've sent no less than 15 emails in this process! I have owned this coffee pot for about 10 months now. Initially I loved it. It *was* sleek, pretty, and shiny. It brews a decent cup of coffee, but it needs a lot of grounds to make it strong enough and this is where the problems come in. The coffee and grinds backwash or drip into the water reservoir. I've not been able to watch it happen, but we've had full on "coffee" in the clear water side on multiple occasions and this part is NOT removable, so you can't just wash it. When this happens, the filter has to be removed and washed out, too. I've had so much mess with this portion and it makes no sense how coffee can spill and/or regurgitate into the clean water compartment, just a major design flaw. The pot is a TIGHT fit. It is tall and it's tight, so you have to sort of tip it to get it into the spot correctly. This is a problem when there is still a lot of coffee in the pot. My pot is still intact, but I am admittedly super careful with it. The buttons are gone. All of them, gone. Basically this means we don't get to use any of the features of the darned thing that make it so expensive because who knows what they do? The brew button is on it's way out, too. The only good news. It does make coffee and it does turn itself off every day with a beeping tone. I can basically say "hey I've been up for 2 hours" when it goes off, but that is about it. Overall, very disappointed in this Cuisinart product... which says a lot, since I own so many! I am awaiting customer service's response on my complaints, but from others I've seen, I am not holding my breath.
