This makes a GOOD STRONG HOT cup of coffee not sure what other reviewers did or got but mine makes a nice hot cup and it's very strong! The frother works but not as well as my immersion blender when it comes to making whipped topping with heavy whipping cream but that's to be expected this is just a piece of metal that vibrates and it does the trick, I use heavy whipping cream in my coffee because I'm on keto but I frothed almond milk and it bubbled nicely to so I assume milk or coffee creamers will aswell because almond milk isn't as thick and it still frothed. Want something absolutely delicious in your coffee try this: use HOT heavy whipping cream and melted butter and sweetener it makes an awesome Bulletproof Coffee froth that is sweet and salty and rich a KETO MUST TRY! NOTE: it doesnt heat the cream. So far I have only used the rich setting becuase I like a dark cup of coffee and I followed the amount instructions, first time I went heavy with the grinds because I read reviews and didnt trust it to make a strong cup but boy was I wrong I made a full craft used 6 heaping scoops and had to make a xl travel cup to top it off because it was so strong....now I know 5 to 6 regular scoops with my dark roast coffee will yield a super strong perfect full pot....BEWARE THE THERMAL CRAFT maker does not come with the stay hot heated plate and your paying $60 more when i saw this in other reviews i went with the glass craft and hit the stay warm button and saved myself $60...its not pipping hot after a hr but its warm....I love a super hot cup so I expect after a hr to reheat it anyways but for company it's good enough...I cant speak on how hot the thermal pot would keep the coffee but for 60$ I'll nuke it!....my only complaint so far is it sucks to clean the pot its narrow at the top so I can hardly fit my small hand inside to scrub but if you have a brush you will be fine and the lid is a little tricky to open and close but not a big deal at all just things I'm pointing out...also the water canister is a little hard to get on and off I feel like I'm going to break it when it comes off it COMES OFF AND FLYS WITH FORCE LOL so keep a good grip on it. And my last NOTE is I have to pull the maker out to fill the canister with water if I leave it on the unit so I just take it on and off again it's a bit tight to pull off and I have to pull it out to empty the grounds because both dont clear my cabinet height...that's a little annoying but not worth complaining about just noting....my friend came over had a cold brew and she fell inlove just like that she ordered the maker right then and there (fyi cold brew brews luke warm but very delicious strong coffee ready for ice or heat it up if your like me and want a cup of hot cold brew lol) there isn't anything like this I searched and read lots of reviews and asked around this was the best option for me my must have were....frother, rich brew option, ice coffee brew and then the cold brew(no one offers this option so it was a bonus), full craft or single cup brew(wanted a k cup compatible but this one is not and I'm getting to be ok with it, it brews slightly slower and I have to empty and clean the filter but its seriously not that big of a deal, the coffee is better tasting becuase it brews by steeping so all grounds get wet and soak for a bit before dumping in the mug making a richer cup, my kurig only shot hot water down the center of the cup so if you opened the cup after brewing the grounds on the sides were dry! WHAT A WASTE NO WONDER MY COFFEE WAS NEVER RICH LIKE THIS! So I have to clean a bit more thats why they make paper filter inserts lol and now I wait like 2 mins longer for it to brew becuase its steeping not a deal breaker worth the wait in my eyes)

  • Nice and simple cold brew cup. Has a metal basket inside to infuse the coffee with the water and its really easy to leave over night and remove the cup with grounds in the morning for cold brew on the go. The build quality is pretty good, I don't have any worries that it will fall apart anytime soon. Very useful and great price as well!

I gave this one 3 stars for 2 reasons: the coffee is not instantly brewed takes a couple minutes to warm up and the reservoir holds enough for only 3 cups of 10 oz coffee. I feel like I am constantly refilling it. The product is kind of cheaper plastic - I did buy this on sale for $49 but it’s Not as sturdy as my last one. Bottom line - it brews coffee and it works!

  • I have had the pod only unit version of this for about 3 years now and absolutely love the simplicity (ease of use) and this has made me want this single / multi-serve unit. I plan to buy this multi unit soon but I can say for the pod only unit, it's been fantastic. Keep in mind, the light will flash when it needs to be internally cleaned. Just run a cup of white vinegar through it followed by 4 runs of tap water to rinse. Works every time and the light stops flashing when not in use. I can't wait to get my hands on this dual unit!

  • Changing to 5 star as it was replaced with no hassle and the replacement looks an works great. Giving a 1 star because the water tank has a high crack/defect (picture attached). Yes this was a refurbished unit, but it was supposed to be in excellent condition. I returned for a replacement so hopefully can give a better review after it comes in.

First this coffee machine has a very small footprint and that is what attracted me most. I was able to get it at a 40% off discount which sealed the deal and I purchased it. Unfortunately the taste of coffee from this machine is metallic. At least for my taste palate. Unfortunately I will be returning it for a refund.

I love coffee so much that I roast it at home but due to some changing circumstances, I just don't always have time to make a pour-over and I thought this coffee maker would give me good consistent results. I used to use a grind and brew that made ok coffee by Cuisinart but it lasted a solid 7 years of intermittent use. It was becoming buggy so time to replace it. I was not wrong. This coffee maker makes great coffee. Consistently. Huge props to Bonavita too for standing behind their products! If you are taking the time to read these reviews, you know this is a great coffee maker. Gold cup and all that stuff is legitimate. Bonavita has been around for a long time, and it is a well known brand in coffee circles. So why only 3 stars? The coffee carafe is awful. If you want to pour without the lid, it will spill. Fine, I will screw on the lid. The worst part, however, was that after less than 6 months, the internal seal started leaking into the vacuum cavity. I filled out the warranty form on the Bonavita website, received a response within a week, and a new thermal carafe shortly after. Awesome! Right around the same time, the coffee maker stopped its cycle half-way. It would complete it after I restarted it. I read some of the reviews stating the same before buying it but quickly dismissed them thinking it was user error. I thought everyone that was complaining about the coffee maker stopping half way were experiencing this issue because they were not descaling. Descale, descale, descale. Got it. When I started experiencing the same issue, I started worrying because I descale religiously. Another warranty form fill, another quick response, and a replacement unit shortly after. Great! What isn't great is that I don't know how long this will last and getting a new coffee maker through a warranty form seems like this is not what I was hoping it is. I took the coffee maker apart and didn't see anything too worrisome with the exception of one thing. Although I'm not a huge fan of the plastic at the bottom of the heating element, that's not it. I didn't see any rust or anything leading to believe there was a leak somewhere either. What is worrisome is that the control board was overheating in some areas. I can only guess that the temperature might have fried the relay. Nothing else looks "bad" per se. I am hoping this is just a QC issue and won't have to fill out another warranty form.

  • This unit roasts the same volume of a beans as one of those Korean ceramic coffee pan roasters; 60-70 grams . I really like the chaff catcher. I can finally roast indoors . The smoke is very minimal for medium roast ( I use yirgacheffe coffee beans ) . Picture is medium roast . The coffee produced is amazing . I love the thick crema when making espresso from freshly roasted beans . I was concerned about the durability from other reviewers so I bought the 3-year protection plan just in case

I just used his for the first time with my keurig k575 brewer. Works perfectly, keeps the coffee hot for a couple hours. I think that I will preheat the carafe next time because other reviews states that keeps the coffee hot even longer. I will also use this to make a pot of coffee and place the carafe in the fridge to easily have iced coffee ready for the next day.

  • No frills but works just fine and is very compact. Great color & travel mug included.

Really impressed. I brought this set out of curiosity to begin my pour over journey! It is well made - a lot of compliments on how aesthetically pleasing it is! Many asked if this was a Hario v60 ? - as a newbie in the pour over community, I had no idea but just said "I brought it on coffeemakers.us.com" LOL - so im curious is this considered as one? Box had no reference to it but I truly enjoy the set itself!. Even my pour over expert friends loved it! Great quality and provided an amazing first pour over experience! Highly recommended!

I’ve used a Bunn Velocity coffee maker for yrs my last one last 8 hard yrs, so when it finally broke down I decided I was going to upgrade and get a top of the line model. I did my research and narrowed it down to two machines, both machines were “gold standard coffee” makers. I decided to layout the 300.00 plus on the Breville and I hate it. Here are my issues 1) It’s Loud, it basically GROWLS the whole time it’s brewing and makes this loud steam burst and the end of cycling, so if your bedroom is near kitchen and you get up early plan on waking your spouse if you want coffee. 2) It’s hard to keep clean. The cap on the pot comes off but does not come apart, it’s two pieces and spring loaded I’ve tried everything to clean it from soaking, scrubbing and dishwasher to no avail. The brown coffee buildup just gets worse the more you use it. The reservoir is another issue (see pictures) at the bottom is a cup, for lack of a better word, but the brew cycle does not draw all the water out and that “cup” which I did noticed upon first use and didn’t think it would be problematic since I use it 2-3 times a day. Well it was a problem when the descaling light came on and under bright lights I pour the solution into tank and to my horror the tank was filled with gross mildewy floaters. So I had to use 3-4 paper towels after each use to soak up all the water and dry the tank out completely to never see THAT again. 3) The pot itself has a tiny hole that cleaning the interior is almost impossible if your hands are normal size it’s quite the squeeze to reach in with sponge, so much so that I reverted to pushing sponge in pot and use I wooden spoon to clean inside creating a new Olympic event in the process. 4) Within 6 months the heat plate, which by the way only stays on 60mins and your last cup of full pot is always Luke warm, rusted out (see picture) I say 6 but I believe it started sooner, the coating on plate is super thin and rusted out quickly. 5) WHICH BRINGS ME TO CUSTOMER SERVICE….THERE IS NONE The glass pot is super fragile so don’t break it your not getting it replaced through customer service because THERE IS NONE Don’t try and get your rusting heat plate fixed through customer service THERE IS NONE 6) If you been drinking a type of coffee and love it, plan on spending alot of money on new coffees because your old one will taste completely different in this machine and you will have to find a new one that fits your taste and this machine So needless to say after 11 months of use I WENT AND REPLACED THIS MACHINE with the exact machine I had before it the Bunn Velocity and WASTED 300.00 plus On this coffee maker. DONT BUY THIS
