This has been great until I tried washing it while it was still warm and with running hot water. The coating has completely peeled horribly. Functionally it works but otherwise I do not recommend.

I love coffee so much that I roast it at home but due to some changing circumstances, I just don't always have time to make a pour-over and I thought this coffee maker would give me good consistent results. I used to use a grind and brew that made ok coffee by Cuisinart but it lasted a solid 7 years of intermittent use. It was becoming buggy so time to replace it. I was not wrong. This coffee maker makes great coffee. Consistently. Huge props to Bonavita too for standing behind their products! If you are taking the time to read these reviews, you know this is a great coffee maker. Gold cup and all that stuff is legitimate. Bonavita has been around for a long time, and it is a well known brand in coffee circles. So why only 3 stars? The coffee carafe is awful. If you want to pour without the lid, it will spill. Fine, I will screw on the lid. The worst part, however, was that after less than 6 months, the internal seal started leaking into the vacuum cavity. I filled out the warranty form on the Bonavita website, received a response within a week, and a new thermal carafe shortly after. Awesome! Right around the same time, the coffee maker stopped its cycle half-way. It would complete it after I restarted it. I read some of the reviews stating the same before buying it but quickly dismissed them thinking it was user error. I thought everyone that was complaining about the coffee maker stopping half way were experiencing this issue because they were not descaling. Descale, descale, descale. Got it. When I started experiencing the same issue, I started worrying because I descale religiously. Another warranty form fill, another quick response, and a replacement unit shortly after. Great! What isn't great is that I don't know how long this will last and getting a new coffee maker through a warranty form seems like this is not what I was hoping it is. I took the coffee maker apart and didn't see anything too worrisome with the exception of one thing. Although I'm not a huge fan of the plastic at the bottom of the heating element, that's not it. I didn't see any rust or anything leading to believe there was a leak somewhere either. What is worrisome is that the control board was overheating in some areas. I can only guess that the temperature might have fried the relay. Nothing else looks "bad" per se. I am hoping this is just a QC issue and won't have to fill out another warranty form.

This compact single-serve coffee brewer is perfect for college students or even an office space—really, anyone with limited space who doesn’t need 12 cups at a time. It’s lightweight & takes up minimal space—ideal for dorms, where desk space is usually all you have. It would fit perfectly on a small side table or desk while still leaving room to spare. My daughter recently moved into a student apartment with 3 roommates, all of whom brought their own kitchen gadgets, so space was still an issue. Luckily, this coffee maker’s compact design makes it easy to store. Plus, it’s travel-friendly—she can easily bring it home over the summer or during long breaks. It comes with both a K-pod adapter & a mesh filter for ground coffee. The included recipe cards offer some delicious, easy-to-make drink ideas. It’s user-friendly, operates quietly, & the hot/iced option is a unique but fantastic feature for a single-serve machine. My daughter loves making iced coffee without the ice melting instantly. Bonus: It’s not just for coffee! It dispenses hot water for soup mixes—perfect for the classic college staple, Cup-O-Noodles 😂! The only improvements I’d suggest are adding a small LED light to indicate when it’s powered on & a serving size selection. Right now, it brews whatever amount of water is in the tank (6-14 oz), so if you forget it’s filled to the max & only need a small cup, you’ll have a mess on your hands. Easy to do when you’re half-asleep & rushing to class 😄. So, just be careful to fill it with the exact amount you need each time. It even has a cleaning reminder & a self-cleaning function. Overall, this little machine packs a lot of value into a small size. It makes a fantastic cup of coffee—hot or iced—& would be a great gift for any student!

Easy to use. Makes a good cup of coffee

  • Often just flashes EMPTY and beeps. Yes there is a basket and water, and coffee in hopper. Takes a dozen or more tries to get it to work. Will probably return if I can't find an answer. >>>> ok, here is what is going on - if you get impatient as there is a long delay when you press 'BREW' before anything happens and you press the BREW button more than once, it freaks out and gets into this Flashing Empty and Beeping. unplug for a minute, touch the brew button once and gently. I can deal with this now. My other observation is that it seems to grind a full basket of coffee regardless what strength you select. You can get two brews from one grind.

  • This is a simple and beautiful piece. It’s perfect for me as I’m not a huge coffee person, just like to have a simple cup or two when I’m working from home. I like that it’s glass and that it comes with its own filters. The holder keeps the glass in place and is convenient to use over any mug.

  • Very disappointed. Leaks everywhere. After each use leaks from underneath all the water that's left.

It is a basic coffee maker. But what is cool about this coffee maker is the re-usable filter. Which is great if you want to save money on disposable filters. And better for the environment over. Very easy to program and has a nice light for night time or early morning. The pot and reservoir are a good size, not too big and not too small. Just the right size for a personal cup or to share with a loved one. Overall, not bad at all.

Excellent, works perfectly and doesn't take much space (specially small spaces). Recommend, what I like the most is that you can program it so it will be ready before you wake up!

  • It’s a great coffee maker... you just have to deal with the dripping “leaking” coffee pot. Just make sure you have paper towels near by, to clean it up after each pour. I have tried to adjust the top, make sure nothing is blocking the holes underneath, taken it apart to figure out how to fix...but failed :/ it just leaks

The coffee made tastes good, the whole thing is quite small. Would be good for limited space. It's adorable and serves its purpose. Only con I've seen so far, the carafe fits snugly into the brewer, occasionally it doesn't feel like I've got it in there properly, no messes because of this as of yet.

To fit a standard 7” travel mug you have to remove the drip tray. The wording in the description is very misleading: overall I still like it but very disappointed that I can’t use the drip tray.

  • Really likes my Turkish cuppa coffee! I actually replaced my old Turkish coffee mashing with this one because of the stainless steel pitcher and smaller size. It is so easy to fit anywhere, it’s really small. Also the coffee maker is very easy to use, just push the button and it will pip when it’s done. Makes one bigger cup or two small cups. I am adding milk to the coffee. Tastes nice and velvety…

I just picked my Brentwood tea maker up from the post office today. I was so excited to come home and use it to find out that the pitcher had a whole in it. The water would just leak out of the side of the pitcher getting water everywhere. Just so disappointed!!

Bought this in late Nov. It worked fine initially, then it started leaking after three months. Poured the coffee out and tested in the sink again, still leaking.
