My first Moccamaster half pot—16 oz.water, which yields two cups of coffee —was disappointing. Brew time was too long because grind wasn’t coarse enough. Flavor was sharp, unpleasant. So after adjusting the grind, the second half pot was very good. I also checked the actual temp in the brew basket, 196.8°, which is acceptable for 3400 ft elevation. I am pleased with my purchase and glad for the YouTube vids that explain how grind size and brew temp affect the flavor of drip coffee. Bean quality is only one element in the equation. Also I was hesitant to buy this one because the color in the listing did not appeal to me, but none of the other colors did either. If I settled for a silver or white model, I would pay an extra $40. So I settled for this “rose gold” model and saved $40 to spend on coffee beans. So glad I did! The color is beautiful in my house; it has a lovely warm glow, not the cold, flat color in the listing photo.

  • I had actually purchased another known brand and found this unit while waiting and for less. I'm glad I made the choice. Only down fall for me is I'm normally a bulk coffee drinker, I think the large setting is only 8.4 oz max ...but don't quote me. Its not really a issue since I have been experimenting on the side with a small Expresso machine to make coffee. The beans are pretty good, I may start using this brand. Overall I'm very happy with this unit, fingers crossed I can get a few years without issues.

  • I’ve had my AeroPress for quite some time, to be used as a backup. During a recent hurricane evacuation, I finally used it and it is now my primary coffee maker. I did find that the water ran through too quickly, and after exploring some information online, I learned that most coffee professionals recommend the inverted method. I tried this, and it makes a perfect cup of coffee. I personally think this method should be included in the instructions. This little gadget was my hurricane highlight.

  • After doing some basic research on cold brew makers I settled on this one and boy am I glad I did. I absolutely love this product. It's super easy to use and makes really smooth cold brew coffee. The method I use is pretty simple. I grind whole beans coarse. You want it coarse to prevent coffee grounds going through the filter into the water. By the way that's not a bad thing so don't worry if you have some coffee grinds in your cold brew. I feel the filter up so there's maybe an inch or two remaining from the top and then I add lukewarm water almost to the top of the jar but not totally full. I closed the lid and let it sit on the counter for at least 18 hours. Once that is done I remove the filter throw out the grinds. Now the instructions that come with this jar will say that this makes a concentrate and you should add water. If you go into Starbucks you'll see that's how they make it to they'll fill your cup with maybe a quarter of the way with the concentrate and then add water. What I do is when you remove the filter after 24 hours the brewed coffee level will drop. I then add water directly to the jar until it's near the top again and that's enough. I then put it in the refrigerator and let it get nice and cold. Of course you can just add ice to your cup as well.

Replaced an old Mr coffee 12 cup, like the new streamline design more room on my counter. Brews and maintains hot coffee.

Disappointed how much space from the planger and the bottom ( on the picture 1.5 large scoops of coffee). Also if u worry about plastic-u do poor coffee through it. I was looking for good high quality 12 oz French press, that looked the best option, very disappointing.

Hideous coffee grounds stains remain in the small filter. Don’t believe the remark ,”Soapy water cleans the filter”, because it doesn’t! Update: Coffee glass cracked. No clue how! Making a morning pot, had filled with coffee. Had to pitch everything in the trash.

This is a very cute pour over coffee set that comes with every thing you'll need. The case is pretty robust and should protect things for the most part, but the glass is extremely fragile. Everything is very compact and nests together for easy travel. When we first got this, the funnel would not fit into the wooden filter stand completely. The hole was not wide enough for the funnel to completely seat in it to make it stable. I had to take my reaming tool and widen the hole a small amount for the funnel to seat correctly. The set even comes with a little dish so that you can place the funnel and wooden filter stand in it so that you don't have it dripping all over the place. It does makes a good cup of coffee and it is easy to use. Overall, it would be a nice gift for someone because it is very decorative, but it is very expensive. Hopefully not all of them have to be altered for the funnel to fit correctly.

Nice an easy product. Quality-Price value

  • I've really had a love-hate relationship with making my own cols brew the past year. Trying to find a method that's easy but still works well has been so frustrating. I received this yesterday and immediately washed it so I could start brewing. I love the size because I'm the only coffee drinker in my house, so in theory this should last a few days. I also love how sturdy the glass feels and the pitcher itself just looks high quality. I had my first glass of cold brew this morning and it's perfect. This process is less messy and time consuming than what I was doing before. Absolutely in love!

  • I love the big size of this cold brew maker. The inside filter is made of fine mesh stainless steel and doesnt result in any grinds in the coffee. Although the mesh is fine you can easily clean out the grinds with a brush. I also like that its dishwasher safe.

I would like to say, the coffee marker did what it was made for but I wasn't expecting the size. I thought it would be a lot bigger for the price I paid. I know it kind of my fault for not looking at the measurements and reviews. It just not the right size for what I'm looking for. I would not recommend it for anyone who drink more than 6 ounces of coffee.

  • The steel filter and the lid work well, but the jar has a mold removal mark at the bottom that has gone through the glass, resulting in the jar slowly leaking coffee. Works with a replacement Ball jar.
