This arrived well packaged, I was pleased to find instructions inside relating to use/cleaning. We purchased this for use on vacation so we'd have a clean coffee pot. I also ordered a long spout tea keetle for heating water. This works really well with a long spout, I have no idea how you could use a smaller spout without making the sides of the coffee filter collapse. My husband quickly pointed out that the coffee didn't have a bitter taste. It tastes really fresh by making it in glass. We are very pleased with this and have been using it at home. I did find the easiest way to clean it was to use a sponge brush made for cups, it can get all the way in the bottom.
Defective after 2 uses. Coffee is full of grounds, the K-cup and area under the lid were covered with grounds and water. I contacted Keurig and they suggested I clean and descale it... after two uses!
Depending on your tap water quality you may need a filter between the sink and coffee maker to prevent sediment from forming in the tank, i had RO system to tap into so worked out great!
Love, love love!!! I’ve had a grind&brew of some sort for 20+ years and was a bit resistant to going “low tech.” Though I miss getting up to already made coffee, the flavor and having truly hot coffee is worth it. To the nay sayers that say the basket overflows, it doesn’t stay hot, and my personal favorite, why do I have to change the top, get a Mr. Coffee. You aren’t worthy to own such a magnificent tool!
We had our last Cuisinart coffee maker for 26 years. It was still working just fine, and we simply wanted an updated maker. This one has a little more variety with making coffee with beans or ground coffee. My husband is the one using it at this point and almost every day. Thank you!
Bad enough I purchased one of these garbage coffee makers I also purchased one for a friend. This is the mess I clean up pretty much on a regular basis. IT LEAKS ALL OVER!!!! It also brews 14 oz cup when you choose 8 oz!!! This coffee maker is all around just a P.O.S. And they DO NOT MAKE REPLACEMENT FILTERS FOR THIS COFFEE MAKER either, Once the filter is used up and you need a new one. Just go ahead and throw your coffee maker out, because there are no replacement filters, but don't worry, throwing it out is the best favor you can do yourself. IM TIRED OF CLEANING THIS CRAP EVERYDAY! Save yourself a headache and find a different one to purchase. And remember, you get what you pay for!
I researched a lot for the perfect size, color and matte finish and thought I had found THE ONE. However, the lid sounds like it's scraping metal on metal, which it is, but that's not such a big deal. However, the black paint has started to peel off and I am finding it in my coffee mug, on the counter or on bits of food - so, it's a no unless you want it as a very short term purchase. I did contact the seller and they were quick to respond but had the One Year Warantee for a reason. :(
I purchased the VertuoPlus Black Deluxe Breville machine on Sunday, August 11, 2024. While the machine worked well for the first few weeks, it entered descaling mode during the second week of September—only a month after we received it. Despite multiple attempts to descale the machine on my own and with the help of customer service, it remained stuck in descaling mode. I spoke with customer service three times—once on Sept. 17, again on Sept. 18, and a final time on Sept. 21. On the 21st, customer service finally agreed to let me send the machine in. It was returned a few weeks later, missing the capsule container, but appeared to be working again. As of today, October 15, 2024, the machine is once again stuck in descaling mode. This machine cost me over $150, and I was only able to use it without issues for a little over a month. This has been a waste of both my time and money.
i bought this machine few months ago and just noticed that the descaling pipe is missing ! I need to descale it, I hope I can get this missing part soon.. 🙁! Thank you
I've been traveling alot & most places, including family, only have the keurig "cup" option. Nothing wrong with that but l have to use specialty coffee that's decaf & low acid, so it's great to be able to make my own without the waste. I use it for coffee, heat water for cocoa, & even tea ( don't cringe tea coniseuiers lol). I use a different cup if l want a little more, & just look at the measure lines in the water well to avoid overfill. (There's a catch area under the cup plate if you goof). It's simple, fast, easy to clean the filter, & it's a little Disney magic wherever you are! Cons: It doesn't have an auto shut off so just turn it off when you get your cup:)
My daughter-in-law had received this as a gift and after using hers I knew I had to get me one. I love that it’s slim to fit in my camper trailer. I like that it comes with a filter to use when I’m camping and the water at the campground isn’t great. I also like my coffee strong and this makes an excellent string iced or hot coffee. Although I will only be using it when we are camping my DIL has had hers for awhile and uses it all the time and hers is still just as great as when she first got it. Great little coffee pot.
Works great! I don't have to leave a pot on all day, I can just throw a tiny scoop in whenever I want fresh coffee. Just dump and rinse the mesh filter. No coffee grinds in my cup. Makes about 6oz. Sometimes I have to add more water after it's done because I have a very wide mug. Works for hot tea as well. Easy to clean. No problems with it's function. 10/10 recommend!
I've purchased three of these. The first one I had for several years and loved. I used it daily and it never had issues. Unfortunately, I accidentally dropped it. No, I'm not leaving a bad review because of my clumsiness. My issue is that the replacement I bought cracked and spilled coffee in my refrigerator less than a month after buying it. I returned it and thought I'd double check the replacement before even assembling it. Sure enough, there's a big crack along the bottom right where the previous one broke. It would only be a matter of time before this one ended up like the last one. Unfortunately, it appears the quality checks have gone downhill since the first one I bought years ago. Fool me once... I'm afraid I'll have to give up on this brand and try another.
Every single part of this machine that is silver gets as hot as the water temperature. I have burned myself on this device multiple times in the few months I've had it. Does it's job just fine, but is honestly dangerous to have around yourself while working.
While it lasted, 2 cups iced coffee and one iced tea. Noticed in video start button is flush not pushed in. Mine came like the pictures. Okay, new design. Made first coffee. Pushed in button, Start light came on. In seconds it started brewing. I was impressed ! Made a tumbler of tea. (Actually split it 2 ways) Sunday morning, go to make a tumbler of tea. Add the water, tea in basket, ice in cup and placed ready to go. Push the button NOTHING. More of a pain to clean and pack up for return. Expensive tumbler but hey…
