Esta cafetera tiene todo lo que necesito, hace rápido el café, de gran capacidad. Al principio puede ser un poco tedioso ver tanto botón pero hay que leer las instrucciones de uso me hizo fácil.
Tried a small glass French press that leaked from day one. Figured this little stainless steel French press would be perfect better. It is! Perfect for tea and comes with extra screens.
I needed a new coffee maker since my current one decided to die. I bought this over the Ninja coffee makers. This had less hazardous reviews! I was shocked! So, this arrived, through the carafe in the dishwasher, once that was clean, I ran two pots of water through the maker just to clean it and remove any possible plastic taste you may get when using this for the first time. I love how this looks! It’s not as big as a thought it was gonna be which I was very happy about! The blue light DOES TURN OFF which was an amazing thing! (We all know now that kitchen appliances seem to have the brightest light!!) the only thing is, the SUPER bright green light that comes on when you set it to program, I have to put a hand towel over it but that’s not a deal breaker by any means. I highly recommend this coffee maker!!
This tea maker works GREAT. A lot of the reviews helped me determine the best way to make tea the way we like it. Here's what I found out... We don't like our tea watered down, so I didn't use the iced tea directions that came with it as it’s designed to make just over a quart of tea with the rest ice. We wanted to have a full pitcher of tea, let it cool, put in the fridge, then add ice later. Valuable lesson that I learned... Do NOT fill the water in the pitcher beyond the "Water 3 qt line” (which is just over a quart of actual water). It doesn't seem like you're putting much water into the machine, but if you try to put a lot more water into it, it'll come right out the spout in the front and the little hole that's in the back (I made a big water mess the first time trying to put more water in). The machine will actually fit about 1.5 quarts of water, but I found that when I put that much in, it didn’t brew the rest of the water and had some tea backed up into the tea bag basket. Here are the steps that I used to make a full pitcher of strong, sweetened tea (my family likes Celestial Raspberry Zinger Herbal Tea): 1. Fill the provided pitcher with water to the “Water 3 qt” line (filtered, if you have it); again, it’s just over 1 qt of actual water. Remove the tea basket holder and pour the water into the machine. Put the tea basket holder back in. 2. If you plan on making a full pitcher of tea, put 12 tea bags into the basket, slide the water spout back over the top of the basket, close lid, and set the switch on the front to "strong" (modify to fit your needs). 3. Put the pitcher securely in front of the machine with spout under the opening (see photo). Push button on the side to turn it on and brewing will begin (takes about 10 minutes to brew - power switch light on the side turns off when it’s done). It'll fill the pitcher with about 1 quart of actual tea. We wanted a full pitcher of tea with NO ice, so... 4. Carefully open the water reservoir again (the steam is HOT) and remove the basket but KEEP the same tea bags in the basket. Using a separate pitcher, fill machine with just over 1 quart of water. Turn the machine on again to brew adding to the current tea. This fills the provided pitcher to about the 2 qt line. 5. Repeat step 4 once more to get 3 full quarts of tea! 6. OPTIONAL: Pour the 12 tea bags into the pitcher to let it steep about another 15-20 minutes (to get the most out of the tea bags). If you like it sweetened, ADD 3 TABLESPOONS OF STEVIA IN THE RAW (calorie-free, natural sweetener) or whatever your preference. Let cool for a bit then put into the fridge. Serve over ice. It turns out PERFECT. The other awesome perk of this tea maker is the design of the pitcher. It fits perfectly on the door of our fridge and even on a short shelf (see photo). Just be careful of tea spilling out of the spout as one side of the lid is an open spout for brewing, and the other side is a straining spout, so there's no "closed" option like with a circular pitcher. Just something to be aware of. I highly recommend!
Works well for single cup brewing. Because there is no water reservoir, you need to wait longer for the water to heat and the coffee to brew. One problem is that if you "overfill" it at all, the excess water comes out the bottom! Unfortunately, there is no clear line that shows the upper limit, just these weird plastic disc markings in the water tank. I wish it would brew a larger cup and has an easier to see the maximum fill line. Otherwise, it works fine and, once you learn (the hard way) how much water to put in, it's good. I would probably buy it again.
Update 05/03/18 Customer Service was very helpful. Machine was quickly replaced with a refundable deposit on the old one. Replacement no longer makes weird dog whistle but extraction is still sub par. Unless I go through a ritual of pulling carafe during wetting cycle, and quickly stirring grounds during bloom cycle, I get a big divot in the middle of the grounds and under-extracted ring of grounds around the edges. Looks like a crater at end of brewing instead of a smooth flat surface. Cone works best with this, the basket I have to do it several times, once during bloom and again during brew. You cant completely remove the basket during brew cycle so you have to just slide it out a little and try and slide your spoon in there while it is spraying out the shower head. Its a delicate dance but with just the right hand...lol. Doing the above ritual has improved the cup and grounds will mostly flatten our during brew cycle, but its kind of annoying to be doing this in the morning while running daddy daycare before I go to work. Holding at 3 stars. And I would probably look to eventually replace. Revised below to reflect comment that not all compeitors have a full shower head. Its true, many do. Not all. Initital Review Below-------------------- So far I gotta say I’m not that thrilled with this given the cost. Been using for about a month now and it has a few quirks. The biggest being the inability of the shower head to fully saturate the coffee when using the basket instead of the cone. The shower head is simply too small to cover the coffee. It’s a tiny silicone disk with 4 holes in it that has about 1” spacing from one hole to another. And this is meant to bloom a bed of coffee that is maybe 5” across? It’s literally physically impossible to do it proper with this design. The water just squirts out of the 4 holes and only covers the coffee that is directly under it. Many of it’s competitors use a full size head. When making anything over 8 cups I usually end up with several bone dry scoops of coffee in the basket. For the average user maybe this doesn’t matter. But to someone who measures their coffee and cares enough to spend $300 this is a big deal. You can literally taste the under-extraction. Switch over to the cone and it’s less of a problem. But then if you brew over 6 cups you will get coffee that blooms all over the shower head and leaves soggy coffee grounds stuck on it. This is using a 1:14 ratio and normal drip grind setting on a Baratza grinder. I suppose I could go in and rejigger all of the MyBrew settings but that should be for personal taste, not basic functionality. Next the thing is noisy. There is a vibratory pump that no one includes in any of the demo videos. It’s almost comical how it was “coincidentally” edited out of every video I was able to find online. The pump then rattles the basket slightly out of alignment and it really kicks up a clatter. You have to stand there and push it back in to the sweet spot to get it to stop. Then it eventually does it again through out the entire brewing process. I can live with the noise, but not the under extraction. There is also a really high pitch dog whistle like sound when the screen switches to the “Time Since Brew” after brewing. You can kill this by forcing it back to the main menu. Carafe stays hot, which seems to be a common concern for people who like to let their coffee sit around instead of drink it. ;) But better still it actually pours drip free. My Bonavita carafe drove me nuts with this. The lid does not seem to be able to be taken apart so cleaning is kind of impossible. And it’s not easy to get all the water out if you fully submerge or rinse it. Carafe has a nice wide mouth for cleaning though. I can even get my full hand in there. The pour over feature is a bit meh. Need to swap out parts and setup in the menus. Probably quicker to just use your V60. It doesn’t fully drain all the water out of the reservoir at the end of brewing. It’s leaves about 4 table spoons sitting in there so you need to either pour it out or leave the lid cracked to let some air in during the day to avoid mildew. I can say it does make a nice 6 cup brew on the Gold setting but it’s a lot of money given that’s the only benefit I’m getting from it right now. I have contacted customer support regarding the saturation and will update if I get a resolution.
I enjoy getting a cup of flavored and hot coffee every day! Very fast and convenient! However, I prefer to use paper coffee filters. Mug keeps coffee hot around one hour. Sometimes I use it for herbal tea. My choice was the best!
Flavor is great and water dispenser is easily removable because it’s on the side, not the back. Carafe keeps coffee hot for hours because of the push button pour system that doesn’t let heat escape. Tall carafe has tight center of gravity so it’s easy to lift without putting strain on the wrist. Makes iced coffee too. Beeps when it’s finished.
Love this coffee maker. I appreciate that it comes with a reusable filter and a spoon to get the perfect scoop every time. It’s now been 2 and half months since I got this and it no Longer works I woke up and it just don’t work anymore.
So “32 oz” isn’t how much coffee you can get out of it, it’s how much water the vessel can hold. Now subtract the volume for the coffee grounds and the mesh basket. For two 16 oz coffee mugs (think standard Starbucks city mugs), we got maybe 1 1/3 mugs worth out of this. Compare that to our old Bodum 8-cup / 34 oz which gave us two full mugs plus some refill. The coffee tastes great, but we have to brew twice as often, so it loses a star. A “48 oz” would be perfect
Fortunately this arrived in good condition…the outside wrapping should have been marked fragile…it wasn’t. The box that contained the item was marked fragile but it apoeared to have been opened on one side. The band is cracked but I don’t think it will affect anything
A pretty standard coffee machine. The single serve is not as good, it water downs the coffee. It has a GOLD feature that is suppose to make the best cup but if you like strong coffee, it doesn’t work. It makes a good pot of coffee but if you’re looking to use it as a single serve I would recommend looking at getting a different appliance. I don’t think the price tag is worth it. I would just get a standard coffee machine. It does the same job. The good thing would be based on preference like features of controlling from your phone and it looks upscale and sleek. I think the price is mostly put on the design.
I used to buy my cold brew coffee from a reputed store until a colleague at work suggested me to buy this small portable cold brew coffee maker. And that changed my coffee drinking habits (and saved me a lot of money). This coffee maker is very simple and easy to use. All you need to do is fills the water and add grounded coffee and let it brew (I generally do it in the refrigerator to preserve the aroma of the coffee). And then you can drain the coffee in carafe and enjoy it as long as you want. The cold brew made in this brew is far better and richer as compared to the one I used to get from the store and it gives the satisfaction of using the best coffee beans and assurance that is got fresh beans. And it’s very easy to clean as well. There are two concerns i have. It takes a lot of coffee powder to brew in this. One way is to brew concentrate coffee and then dilute later. Secondly, there is always a risk of the brewing container to leak the coffee drop by drop. For the same reason, I keep it to brew in some other vessel so that there is no mess in the freezer.
I like this can make a lot of coffee for entertaining, but I have not tried making a lot of coffee yet. I have only used the 1 to 4 cup feature. For that it worked great but since I haven’t made a lot I can’t speak to how the filter handles a large volume of coffee. I’ve noticed other reviews have addressed that but I can’t confirm or deny. It has all the features that I want. I can brew coffee right away or delay it and have it brew later and you can also adjust how long the plate stays warm after brewing. It comes with the filter a filter for the water. I was a little concerned about the coffee filter basket. It has a cup that you can put a paper filter in or use the mesh filter that comes with it. I was a little concerned when I saw the filter that came with it because it has a large flat, bottom and coffee can only come out the sides of it. I think that would slow down the coffee coming out of the filter. Maybe that’s why someone said that it overflows. I really don’t know though. All coffee filters that I have used in the past had a cone shaped filter basket. You can use a cone shape filter with this as long as you don’t use the mesh filter that comes with it. Like I said, I’ve only used it for the 1 to 4 cup serving and for that it worked well.
Used this maybe 10 or 15 times over the past month or so. It cracked as I was pouring the hot water at the base and now there's coffee leaking out.
