My family loves getting specialty drinks at coffee shops. We were thrilled to find this coffee maker that can make our favorites at home. It was very easy to clean and setup, the instructions are very clear. I love that every part has it's own measurements right on it, making it practically foolproof! You have the option to make hot coffee or iced coffee with either hot foam or cold foam in many different sizes. Our favorite setting so far is the iced latte with cold foam. We added vanilla syrup directly to the milk before making the foam so the flavor and sweetness spread throughout the entire drink. For the latte, we did 1/2 to 3/4 of the suggested amount of ice because there wasn't enough room for all of the foam with a full cup of ice. The coffee brewed quickly and was just the right amount of strength to not taste watered down, even when mixed with the ice and foam. The coffee maker is quiet enough to brew without waking anybody up. Overall, we are thrilled with this 4-in-1 single serve coffee maker. There are a lot of settings and recipes keeping everyone in my house happy. We will be saving a lot of money making specialty drinks at home and skipping the coffee shop!
My wife jokes that she wants to take her Nespresso coffee maker everywhere with her. She loves it and the coffee it makes. When I saw this travel espresso maker from Beanztrip and that it works with Nespresso pods I grabbed it. I haven’t actually tried it with pods yet as our Nespresso works with a newer style pod and I don’t have any of the older style around yet. I have tried it with ground coffee though and I liked the results. The unit itself is heavy for its size. It comes in a nice box that makes for a giftable presentation. There is a small instruction pamphlet in the box. I was a little confused initially as I tried to figure out the parts in the box. There are two sets of some of the parts. There is one part that is not explained anywhere. I still don’t know what it is for. I made my first espresso shot and, following the directions, put the maker back into the cup it comes with. The coffee overflowed the small cup. I think you have to hold the maker over a cup (the included one or another) while it is brewing. The coffee once brewed was quite good. It’s rich and strong. It took 2-3 min (guesstimate … I didn’t time it) using cool water to brew. I made a second cup using hot water. You tell the maker if you are using hot water or cool water by varying the button clicks. If you use hot water you’ll have a MUCH longer battery life but I don’t think the maker heats the water up at all if you start with hot water (it just applies pressure) so make sure it’s really hot water, not just luke warm. This time it took less than a min for my espresso shot. With this one I added some additional hot water to my espresso to make an Americano (there is a card in the box with directions for some common coffee drinks). Some additional things to note … this maker only brews espresso shots. You input 50-60 ml of water and get 30-40 ml shots. It ships with a usb a to usb c charging cable and recommends a 9v/2a charging brick (not included). It comes with a nice velvet carry bag. Overall, I’m really happy with this unit. I’m looking forward to trying it with pods. If I have any unexpected results I’ll update the review.
This is the coffee maker you get simply to make coffee. Super simple and easy to use. If you fill the water reservoir past the 5 cup line it will overflow! Other then that no issues. Fresh great tasting coffee made fast.
Hamilton Beach 42501 Convenient Craft Rapid Cold Brew and Hot Coffee Maker 16 oz. Capacity Single Serve Grounds Brewer, Black I am still a bit mixed on this coffee maker. It does excel in some areas but there are a couple of flaws that do get a little annoying. The design is interesting and for the most part, I do like this. I wanted something for single-cup brews because I noticed how much I was wasting by making full or even half pots on some days with my other machine. This machine has an easy-to-access capsule that comes out of the machine. I find it's best to not open it until I have it over the sink because a few times I put a bit too much coffee in the pod and had a mess. If you do like iced coffee I think this is one of the easier machines for making it. I don't use that feature but I do see how this would be a simple way to make it since that piece that you load the coffee and ice into pops out. That whole aspect of the pod is very smooth which I like. When you pop the pod back in it's just a matter of pushing down the water dispenser and turning it on. Doesn't get much easier than that. Another feature is the bold brewing. I have only tested this out a few times but I can notice a difference when it's on versus off. Flaws as I mentioned earlier are little things but annoying. First off, the overfill hole they put in the back. What a terrible location to put that. It's almost like I want to fill it over the sink. There is a hole in the back of the machine where you fill the water and when you reach that level it just pours out the back of the machine. It makes a mess if you don't notice it quickly. To top that off, it's hard to see the level indicators since their marked in black numbers on black plastic. The pod that pops out also could use a little work because when you pop that open sometimes it takes a bit of force and I have had that lead to spilling grounds. This I now do over the sink. The cord is also too short. I have to keep this really within arms reach of an outlet. For the price, I think the inconveniences are still worth getting this machine. Hamilton Beach has generally been reliable in my experiences. So it makes me hopeful that this will last for a bit. I can put up with the minor annoyances so long as the list doesn't grow from here. I do like the convenience of this machine. I'm not certain if I would order another of these but for apartment or dorm settings I think the value of this at its current price is certainly tempting.
I purchased the Stagg [XF] dripper in September 2023 and have been brewing with it pretty regularly since then. This was my first flat bottom dripper. The more I use it, the more I like it. 5 stars for quality, functionality, ease of use and aesthetics. No first-world complaints from this reviewer. If you can pour hot water into an opening the size of a typical coffee mug, you will be able to brew ridiculously good coffee using the Stagg [XF]. Understandably, a smooth-walled carafe with no handle may be problematic for some hands. You can see from the image that I did not opt for the Fellow carafe as I already own several suitable vessels that fit the Stagg [XF]. With the Stagg [XF], there is no need to stir, swirl, tap, pour with magical technique and timing, pray, make religious gestures - none of those things you see on internet videos. You can do those things with the Stagg [XF] if you want to, but you don't need to do those things. That is why I keep reaching for this brewing method more often. Just follow the instructions, use all the components appropriately and you will brew 500-750 ml of ridiculously good coffee quite fast. The only cons that I can think of would be the initial cost of the device and the ongoing cost of the Stagg filters. I have gone off-label a number of times and used the Stagg [XF] to brew 1000 ml, with less-predictable results. That may be another con for some. But if you are looking to try a flat-bottom pour-over that is easy to use and brews quickly, and you can tolerate the cost, the Stagg [XF] will brew ridiculously good coffee for you. Go for it.
Coffee sticks on the bottom of it hard to clean it
Brings back memories of Vicopisano Italy 🇮🇹 Cleans easily, just takes a little longer to perk than regular coffee pots ☕️
Works great! Read all the other reviews, and for the money, this does the job. It does have about 5 seconds in between it's heating and dispense drip, but if you're in that big of a hurry for your coffee, wake up earlier is all I can suggest. It really doesn't take that long for the coffee maker to brew a full fresh 5 cups. The auto timer is easy to use and clear to see. Just press and hold and set your time. There is a sticker over it, with fake clock numbers. Just remove it and there's your programming buttons for time, regular or Bold, options. Red light on right side, indicates it's on and brewing, also it has s auto shut off after two hours, so you don't have to worry, did I leave the coffee pot on!!!?!? Works great for hot tea and coffee. Easy to rinse out used coffee grinds for next pot of fresh coffee! Compact design fits easily in small space and take to travel.
During our remodel, we looked at built-in (and piped in) coffee machines that were in the thousands of dollars. This was a last minute purchase and it has turned out to be the jewel of the remodel. It's connected directly to our water, makes good coffee, and looks fantastic. At first it wasn't as hot as we would have liked but my husband said that there was a switch that could be clicked, behind the unit, to make the coffee hotter and it worked.
I love it and it fits perfectly on my counter without taking up much space. The water dispenser is removable for easy cleaning and water refills. The coffee temperature is perfect and the warmer stays on for at least 2hrs. Definitely worth it I have been looking for a new cute with a decent price unit for months and found it. It does hot water also
I am single and never drink a full pot of coffee. The small batch feature works excellent! I still get a great tasting cup of coffee while only making 1/2 a pot. Also the warming sleeve helps keep the coffee steaming hot even an hour later.
The stainless steel permanent filter came apart after 4 uses. Now coffee grounds get caught underneath the separating material. Love the glass carafe and the process of making coffee in it that's why I gave it lower rating. Very disappointed that it came apart so quickly.
Immediately requested a return and refund, so can't rate fairly cause I haven't used it. Arrived with a hinge and lift handle broken off, so the single serving side is unusable. Not worth the money for only half an appliance.
I initially planned on purchasing the Bonavita 1900TS based on all of the glowing reviews of the quality of the coffee. I went with this model because it claimed to solve some of the complaints with the carafe on the 1900TS. I can't imagine it being any worse than this. First of all, there have been 'brew through' thermal carafes for what, 20 years? Maybe more? For some reason Bonavita decided not to go that route with this model. You're forced to remove the lid to brew and deal with it through the entire process. Second of all, there have been pause-to-pour style filter-baskets with the spring-loaded stopper for at least as long. Nope, not with this puppy. You get a flimsy basket with a hole in the bottom that drips indefinitely. This wouldn't be a problem if you could leave the carafe under it, buuuuuuut Third of all, there isn't enough room to store the thermal carafe under the filter basket with the lid on. So if you want to avoid a puddle in the base of your coffee maker, you just run commando and leave the lid in a drawer. Which is all well and good, but good luck hitting your mug when you try to pour your coffee...it dribbles all over the place. There are some minor quibbles about the volume of steam coming from it during the brew not being the best for your cupboards and the 'end of brew' beep being way too early to actually pull the carafe. But the main final point I want to make is that the whole thing just has a very cheap and flimsy feel to it. From the handle of the carafe to the whole filter basket to the floppy top cover of the machine, you get no sense of mechanical quality or longevity from it. I get that mechanical design is difficult, but when there is so much fail in one place, particularly for something that's supposed to be a revision to a product, it's hard to believe anyone actually used it before slapping a label on the thing and calling it good. I committed the mortal sin of discarding the box before really getting to know this thing. Not sure what to do with it, but it's not going to daily duty.
First I need to get something off my chest about some leaving negative reviews. Remember, you’re reviewing a product, not shipping problems, or doesn’t fit your space, or problems with coffeemakers.us.com, or cord color. You should measure your space beforehand. Don’t give a poor review because it doesn’t fit your space after you get it! Do your research first! Now, onward. Have been a Keurig user for more years than I can remember. My most recent Keurig, before this one, was K-Supreme Plus. One morning it just quit. No nothing. I really liked the Multistream Technology, and that’s what I wanted again, but slimmer to fit our small space. That’s what I like about this K-Slim. Fits better, and I still get that great tasting coffee, and it dispenses 12oz. size too. It’s really quiet and fast brewing. One other thing to think about is that there’s no internal heating tank. Water comes straight from the reservoir, to the pump/heater, to the K-cup. No water sitting in an internal tank getting stale if it’s not being used for a few days, weeks or months if you’re away. I recommend getting the charcoal filter in the reservoir. Isn’t included, as it used to be, but I had mine from the old Keurig. Keep it cleaned and descaled and it should serve you well. Cheers!
