The product is damaged with a fractured water reservoir. This is a reason to always suspect refurbished stuff
Would recommend! Looks great and much better than the glass version which only lasted a day.
Tea is so much better with a French press. I often drink tea and When I use a strainer to drain the herbs it is such a hassle. This is way easier. Can also be used to infuse fruit into tea. This French press is easy to clean
I like the quality of this coffee pot and the filter. It looks good and feels sturdy. My only complaint is the size of the insulating sleeve in the middle. I wish it was wider. Since it has no handle, the only way to pick up the coffee pot is to grab it by the sleeve. It is hard not to touch parts of my hand to the hot glass.
Perfect size. Love the rubber anti slip base. Easy to clean and works as intended. Great price
The pros of this machine is it works with the old style Nespresso pods (not the new), Kcup pods as well as coffee grounds. Single button at the top to brew, hit twice for a larger brew. Overall brews some good espresso and works pretty good. Only downside is the water tank in the back is difficult to remove or work with if you've go the machine tucked in the corner. As you can see in the third picture there's a rubber spout, so it's difficult in the corner to pull out the entire water tank. You can instead lift off the lid and fill up without removing, but it can be a bit difficult and hard to gauge the level of full.
Easy to break very thin glass. When sat in the sink (softly) after one use the rim broke. So we contacted them for the warranty and they sent us a new one. Good thing we didn’t throw the old one out cause they only sent us the glass and when we tried putting the old infuser into the glass we noticed that it didn’t fit. Pictures are showing the new one that they sent us and how it does not fit. It worked well the one time we used it. But we will be buying a different brand. Hopefully it last longer.
So far I haven't enjoyed how easy this machine is. It has one button. It automatically reads the cup barcode and will brew accordingly. Easy to set up, remove plastic, fill with water, run the first clean cycle and it's good to go. Hardest part so far is deciding what coffee to order. The descriptions for some of the pods also don't make sense, such as the one that says for milk? So I have to add milk after? Just unsure how to make that pod so far. Espresso taste better then their brewed coffee. I still prefer pour over or French press over using the machine to make a normal cup. 5 stars because it does exactly what it was marketed for with no hiccups so far.
I really like it. It is very practical and useful. Suitable for making espresso in outdoor conditions for hiking and traveling. Worth the money, quality materials. Ease of cleaning
This little thing works great! Sort of the best of both percolation and immersion brews. Super easy to use and clean, looks nice, and brews delicious coffee. Highly recommend following some of the James Hoffmann recipes here.
This machine does everything save grind the beans and heat the milk. To me, for the price, it’s everything I could ever ask for and more. It’s like a coffee lover’s fantasy come to life! Only just unboxed it today and we tried all the settings. Classic 24 oz brew to clean. Iced 12 oz coffee with a k-cup. Specialty 4 oz coffee with the brew basket + microwaved milk that we frothed with the included frother (pic of coffee machine brewing. Update: see also other pics from other days). Rich 8 oz coffee with the brew basket. Brew time If you’ve used a keurig, at least the big one that we were using all these past years, this will seem slower. But I do find the coffee stays hotter longer than with my keurig. I like that it beeps once it’s done. Noise level I find this regular. It’s not obnoxious or deafening. It’s just a coffee machine brewing. Frother This really impressed me. I used oat milk (a special barista one they sell at the grocery store). The milk not only tripled in size as it foamed BUT it held up despite brewing into the cup and then stirring it. Plus, it’s super easy to take off and rinse. (Update: Since then I’ve made lattes and cold foam for iced coffee. The foam holds up despite stirring or even if I transfer to another cup). Size It’s astonishing that it has all the gadgets plus the big water tank … and takes up much less space than all our other coffee machines. Brewing options These are just wonderful. K-cups are super easy. But I was interested in the machine because I use a special coffee that I used to have to put in the reusable k-cup … which would then create a small mess on my counter and cup as it dripped out awkwardly. That disaster, gone with this machine! I can use the brew basket (it’ll saturate the coffee great) and it just pours perfectly into my cup. Oh and the stand for the mug can be adjusted in height … so you can get your cup really close to stream of coffee coming out. I can’t say anything about durability because we just got it today. But it seems to make the amount of coffee I select (it’s less if you select “rich” but that’s normal) in a rather seamless manner. Clean up is more with this machine, but that’s not an issue for me considering all it did. We got the machine in the color stone while it was on sale. As a coffee lover who doesn’t have a TON of money to spend on those fancy machines, this is the machine for me.
I was so excited to get this and put it to good use….Maybe the one I received was one the slipped thru QC?? Overall it seems to be well made except the lid. I posted a video of the very loose lid movement and also the shoddy welds or whatever they are that attach the lid to the coffee pot itself. I will continue my search for that elusive, well constructed percolator that will last for many many years!
For a beginning at home barista, this machine is ok. Other reviews state that the pressure gauge on the face is either inaccurate or non-functional and I find that to be true. When steaming milk, there is no feature (that I know of) to purge the wand before and/or after use. After about three months of use, the porta filter has completely come out of the handle, as shown in the picture. But I fixed that with JB Weld quickset epoxy adhesive. I believe the heat from the machine just softens the adhesive that the manufacture uses and the handle separated. On the flip side, the shots taste good (I think). Price is affordable. I like the sleek polished stainless steel finish. It's not too big and fits on my counter in my coffee nook. Overall, I give it a solid ok. You get what you pay for. I'm no espresso expert but this machine does what I need it to do and for that, I'll keep it for now
This is the best French press I've ever owned: after going through half a dozen Bodum presses, finally one that keeps the coffee warm longer and ... major plus! ... doesn't break. I've used it now for about a month: I am impressed how clean the filter has been so far, there are hardly any grinds trapped in the press when I wash it. I noticed that some reviewers remarked that there is a single filter, rather than two, as implied in the product description. Comparing to my old Bodum press, though, I can tell that the mesh on this filter is much denser, which makes me suppose that the "double" is actually embedded in one (otherwise, it would be rather cumbersome to have two filters -- you'd end up with grinds getting trapped between the layers). I have to admit that one of the first things that attracted me to this press was the color -- I got it in orange, and it nicely complements my set of orange mugs from Maxwell&Williams and the Secura water kettle. But what sold me on this was the sturdy design: I love the thick lid and how smoothly the press goes down (it's like getting a car with a steering wheel support after you've driven an old clunker). I agree with other reviewers that the little complimentary canister is not very useful though (I got one with the press, and another with a big canister I bought for the coffee): they are tiny mason jars clad in orange metal casing, but without the bottom, leaving rather sharp edges, which makes it difficult to hold on to while unscrewing the top (perhaps a more user-friendly improvement would have been having a similar enclosure as the big canisters). That said, this is a minor point and doesn't diminish the attractiveness of the whole press.
