I've been using this multiple times daily for going on for a few weeks now, and I'm so happy with it. Prior to this, I had been using a Hario set with a plastic v60. And don't get me wrong, it's a great pour over maker as well. But this one feels like a step up. I don't have the best coffee grinder. It tends to produce a lot of fines which can clog up the filter and give me very long draw down times. But the ridges on this one are much better at catching the fines and leaving me with a nice, flat coffee bed with no clogging. I think this is partially due to the wide drip hole. I've seen some others complain, mentioning that they've had the bottom of their filters bust and ruin cups of coffee. I've probably made close to 50 coffees in this thing so far and never had that problem. For me, the wide drip hole is a bonus. The glaze is nice, not a single imperfection. And for $14 (at time of this writing), I think this a great alternative to a Hario branded one.

It’s as simple as this: fill the bottom of the container with a coarse ground coffee (medium or dark with notes of chocolate/citrus—my go to is the Siren’s Blend from Starbucks), then fill with filtered water and stir the coffee in to make sure it’s all wet. Pop the lid on and let it sit on the counter while you sleep and you’ll wake up to delicious cold brew. Press it down with the included French press style lid and you’re good to serve. Discarding the grounds and cleaning it out after is simple enough. Just use a wooden or rubber spoon to avoid scratching the plastic. I will say, this container isn’t very large. I have a cup of cold brew each morning and it lasts about four days. So if you drink multiple cups of cold brew each day, then you might be making cold brew quite frequently. If you just need a cup to get you by in the morning then it’s the perfect size. It also fits in the fridge very nicely because of its size.

Selected 8 oz option 2x and it only brewed less than 4 oz both times. Coffee in measuring cup shows what came out of it with brew style of over ice. Not sure how I feel about this…. Trying classic setting for 10 oz the third time (with the same k cup) 3rd picture shows how much 10 oz is. For my coffee drinkers.

EXTREMELY disappointed. Bought this as a replacement for what I thought was the same model, but clearly they changed something or this was defective. Only bought because we changed the color of our kitchen color scheme and LOVED this color. Had my previous one for over 4 years and never had a problem even with heavy use. Right at 1 year after getting this one it stopped brewing. I took it apart completely and cleaned it and I still have to clean the needle every day and even that doesn’t guarantee a good brew. 75% of the time the coffee comes out so watery you can see straight through to the bottom of the mug. We’re switching to another brand even though Keurig is the only brand I’ve used for years. Coffee makers should last more than a single year. What a shame.

  • I absolutely love this. Easy to clean, the insert came with ratios for brewing. They were spot on. First mistake was trying fill it with Ester then inserting the filter full of grinds. DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE. Fill filter first and add water through filter or its a mess. I make 1 jar a week. The handle is sturdy and makes for easy pouring. Packaging was fantastic, well protected for shipping. My husband and I use fairlife protein drinks with the coffee about equal portions, over ice. Husband uses vanilla fairlife and adds caramel, I use chocolate with a splash of cream. Overall great concept, love this product and can't wait to use it all summer too.

I was tired of cleaning coffee machines and the lingering vinegar smell. When my second Keurig gave up on brewing, I spent weeks looking for a replacement. I went down many Reddit threads and I landed on this and the French press. I had been making my coffee “like the cowboys did” and was enjoying my strong brew. I’ll be honest, I don’t see the fuss about “too weak” “too oily” “not oily enough”. The vessel allows for many types of coffee results depending on the filters used. Keep in mind that hemp or cotton ones will slow down the flow but strip oils from the coffee and that there are slow brew permanent filters to add if the issue is a fast drip time or wasting paper. I have yet to have a “light” brew and we love each cup I do make. Anyway, it’s sturdy and feels like it’ll last a while with proper care. The best part is the clean up - quick and easy.

I like the way this coffee brewer operates and tastes, but the lid somehow cracked, and I can’t return it as I’m two weeks shy of the date I bought it. The glass container is also very thin, and I am very careful to not break it.

  • I bought this coffee maker just over a month ago. I only use it on weekends when I am at home and have to the time to have a nice cup of coffee. The instructions at the front start to rub off for the Regular Brew. This is bad because I can count the number of times I use this coffee maker and I don't even clean there. I only wipe where the coffee spills with a damp cloth if necessary. I am disappointed in this coffee maker from Hamilton Beach.

Great idea but you must have access to very hot water, it only gives you about 3 tablespoons of coffee at a time.all the water you push through by pumping doesn’t come out into the cup. It makes quite a mess and leaked. I really wanted this to work since I trave so much

  • The silicon right is a little larger than I'd prefer, perhaps to make it easy to slip over the top rim of the basket, or to avoid wear when people do that anyways. Build quality is fantastic though, and I see no other's like it for sale, if I had the funds I'd stock up on several for the rest of my life. With an ounce of care and luck, this one might last long enough on it's own. Update: You're probably supposed to put that ring in the lid, bit I find hat either way the treads grate on a glass a bit and that it might benefit from some petroleum jelly or some such.

  • This machine leaked after literally the first brew. It doesn't leak during the brewing process, but after. Just poured out of the bottom of the machine. It's a shame because it did make a decent cup of espresso.

  • I bought this unit to replace my previous keurig which had lasted 10 YEARS!!! That's incredible that it made it that long so I really wanted to replace with the same brand and also upgrade some features. Specifically, I really wanted the ability to make Ice coffee and this is what sold me on getting this model. Unfortunately, it's the one feature the unit doesn't have and I don't feel like they should be able to claim it. I watched many reviews of influencers using the ICE feature, all of which filled cups up to the brim with ice and dispense the coffee. A lot mentioned there was a little melt but that was ok. I was skeptical but still chose to purchase this version. Upon multiple tries, and multiple cups filled up with ice, all of them were melted about 75%. SO, it's no different that making a cup of coffee and pouring an additional cup of water into it. I was disappointed to say the least. As for additional features, it is able to be programmed, which I LOVE! Instead of waking up, turning on the Keurig and waiting 2 minutes in the morning for it to heat up, it's already on ready to make my cup. This earns the unit 1 star in and of it self. There are a good number of choices for your coffee size and that's great too. I wish i could give this unit more than 2 stars, but to advertise it an iced coffee maker is a little dishonest.

Update February 2024 The blue one I had posted about lasted longer. The Black on I started using 6 months ago just gave out on me…. I thought this brand was reliable but they must have cheaper out on the motor/heating element. Died very similar to old one that lasted longer. Update March 2022. Have had this since September 2020. This has been a lifesaver! I use it almost daily. Has some wear but still works great! Filter tray gets a little clogged but a good scrubbing and my high pressure button on my faucet gets it flowing just fine. Have been using it every couple days since my family is avid tea drinkers. Much safer than boiling a big 2 galling stock pot. I don’t have to worry about boil over. Has worked great so far. Just wish it could hold more water in tank. I have to keep refilling tank before it gets low so I can get desired amount of tea. I don’t like having all that ice. My fridge doesn’t make ice fast enough to use as much ice as instructed.
