  • There was absolutely no sticker on my box to say fragile. And I open the box and my French coffee press is broken. And it was also supposed to be a 12 oz not a 11.8 oz.

I just moved and my ex wife wouldn’t let me take my coffee maker. When I got this Braun I instantly knew I was winning! It’s looks amazing with the digital display and when in use the green lights make it look even better. It’s easy to program, the built in filter improves the coffee taste, and it doesn’t leak at all. I also love the fact that it comes with a reusable coffee filter as well! One of my best purchases for my new place and a great way to start each new day of my new single life!

Coffee doesn’t stay hot in the carafe , other than that, it’s a terrific coffee maker. Easy to use and operate and easy to clean. Easy to set timer for morning coffee.

  • --- Caution!! - The outside of the stainless steel tumbler gets VERY HOT to grab, be careful not to burn yourself or drop the tumbler when reacting to the heat. - Do not overfill the water reservoir – it’s a good idea to ALWAYS use the stainless steel tumbler to pour water into the reservoir to prevent overfilling. --- Pros - Compact, lightweight and stylish; This unit has dimensions of approximately 5”W x 6”D x 12.5”H and weighs in at 1 lb., 13 ounces without the tumbler. It has a 36-inch power cord. - Comes with built-in reusable stainless steel coffee filter - Simple operation; press the power switch to turn on the coffee machine and push the Brew button to start brewing - Inner side of the stainless steel tumbler where the coffee is filled is made of stainless steel as well as the outside of the tumbler. No worries about plastic taste being transferred. - Unlike some of the coffee makers I’ve tried (US national brands!), this Krups unit does not give the coffee an obvious plastic odor/taste. --- Cons - The coffee from the coffee maker measured was 173F and decreased to 150F after 30 minutes sitting in the tumbler with a lid on. - Does not brew coffee continuously; once you brew one cup, you need to wait for a few minutes (several?) to allow the coffee maker to cool down. - You cannot stop the brewing process once it’s started. - So far there is no information on this coffee machine at krupsusa.com or the Krups Germany website, meaning there are no downloadable manuals available yet. - The stainless steel tumbler, while double-walled, is not insulated, or at least not insulated well. Heat is transferred to the outside of the tumbler making it too hot to comfortably hold, and cooling your coffee quickly. - Taste. My wife didn’t mind the coffee from this machine. I thought it was weak, even after adjusting the grind the second time. I’m not certain, but think the product does impart a mild plastic taste into the coffee. This machine is not for coffee snobs. -Time. This unit takes about 4.5 minutes to brew a large cup of coffee, so it’s not exactly fast. -Power Switch. The unit did not consistently power on each time the power switch was toggled. I have a friend who travels with a coffee machine with her favorite pods, especially when she goes on a cruise ship tour, but pods take a lot of space if you drink a lot of coffee. Even when staying at a hotel room, whenever I use the room-equipped coffee machine, I remember reading news articles saying that some hotel room cleaners utilize the used towels to dry things in the room, so I’m hesitant to use the provided machines and cups. Because the KRUPS KM204D50 Simply Brew To Go Filter Coffee Maker is compact and lightweight, it can be a good travel companion, IF you can figure out how to discard the used coffee grounds easily. It’s not cool to put them down the bathroom sink drain, even if you think that you won't be caught, as you’ll create extra work for the maintenance crew. Please remember that coffee ground kills vegetation for first few to several months after being dumped out before it starts degrading. You can utilize a fine mesh bag to rinse coffee grounds into, it is common to utilize such bags at kitchen sinks in some countries where garbage disposals are not common. Some people also use a newspaper to dump out the drained garbage and wrap it to throw away in a trash bag. Overall, this is a meh coffee maker for me. If you need a personal coffee maker, and want a reusable filter, and don’t mind waiting, then get this one, but ditch the cheap tumbler that comes with it. I really don’t know why Krups bothered. Overall, I don’t consider this a good value at the current price of $40.32.

  • This is such great new technology. Will never go back to old styled pot. Love the reservoir on the side for water. No need to poor water in coffee pot any more. This one is better then the one at Walmart. Walmart has a paper filter kit, coffeemakers.us.coms product has a solid permanent screen mesh filter basket which is much better. Dont buy the one at Walmart they are the same models. Coffee has never tasted better. There is a locking lid which is great. There is a black straw on coffee pot that puts the fresh coffee at the bottom of pot, which make the coffee blend better. All the buttons can be confusing but it's easy to figure out with the manual. Now I make two pots because it taste so good!!!!

The actual brew is great. The problem is ease of use. 1. The digital clock is not backlit so it's very difficult to set the time and autobrew. It is NOT easy to read and looks nothing like the clock shown in the ads (see image) 2. The autobrew setup is not very intuitive. You have to more or less guess which buttons to use to set the time. (if you can read it) 3. On my unit the clean cycle randomly turns on and will not turn off until it's done with a clean cycle.

  • We've been using this coffee maker for about 3 months now and it has been working great. The reservoir in the back can be removed and filled right at the faucet. The inside of the basket is lit so its easy to see the level of coffee you are putting in there. It has multiple settings for keeping the coffee hot, brewing times, etc, etc. So far very impressed with this coffee pot.

Sick of using a off brand that had no heat plate and took forever to brew 10 cups of coffee. Husband said spend the money on a Bunn and so far it's been really good. Also the design of the coffee pot is new and sleek. I can set the pot up before bed and when I get out of bed my coffee is ready for me.

  • This coffee smelled great! The machine is loud but it says that should get better. The steamer works well and water reservoir is nice and big. The instructions were also really good... I just don’t know how you would find good cups to fit underneath without having to buy them. A regular coffee mug is insufficient, and as you can see in the video, it gets caught and coffee and grounds end up everywhere. Other than this, if you can tolerate the noise a bit and find proper mugs, it's a decent machine for the price.

  • I’ve been using this practically daily for 20 months with NO issues. I’m a very clumsy gal, and I used to go through a French press every few months, to *maybe* half a year if I was super careful and lucky. The fact that it’s going on two years is just so beautiful to me. And it DOES keep the coffee hotter longer. I can go back for a second cup an hour later and not need to reheat it. The handle shows no signs of coming loose. The plunger pieces easily unscrew and screw back in after every wash. I cannot speak to putting it in a dishwasher (since I don’t have one) but it’s pretty easy to clean by hand. I just take it apart, rinsing with water does most of the work, and then I’ll use a soapy sponge on the metal parts. Careful with the screens, they can catch fibers from your rag or sponge. Once rinsed, I just let it air dry. On occasional lazy days, (like if I forgot to wash it the night before and I’m too impatient/tired in the morning, I’ll even just rinse it in-tact and get on with my bad self. It’s also a nice larger size than most, so I can get three LARGE cups out of it. Or four small/regular cups. Which is great for when my husband is home too. I 100% say this is well worth your investment.

I am assuming the reader of this review already knows how to use a French Press for making coffee. If you need instructions just read the other 2 zillion posts for instructions. I am a bit disappointed in this product, not in how it makes coffee, which is just fine, as expected for a very simple device. But in the aesthetics of the unit that is below the standard I had expected from Bodum. Bodum apparently has a room full of attorneys that have the ear of management and convinced them to place instructions on how to use, and not use this product in both English and French. So thanks to Bodum I am reminded every morning how stupid people are in this country (and France too). For example, did you know that hot fluids must be handled with care? If not, buy this for that important fact. Also, children and hot fluids should be kept apart, so no more hot chocolate for my kids, thanks Bodum! Couriously, Bodum does not caution against using this product as a rocket launcher so I guess it must be okay for that; those attorneys must be considering that bit advice for future products. All would be forgiven if these warnings and useless instructions were not permanently fused to the glass, but short of sanding off the label, and damaging the glass, I am stuck with it. Ne pas utilize sue la cuisinere. The marketing gurus at Bodum know that this might be an issue for some people, so none of the pictures show this non-removeable warning, so in case this might be a issue for you, I am including it.

  • An excellent addition to my retro kitchen. The color compliments my old stove.

This is the worst coffee maker I've ever bought I've hated it since day one it mixes your coffee grounds right in with the water almost every single time I'm lucky to get coffee once a week out of this thing. FAIL!

This is just my love I adore this machine I bought it with a very good discount and as a gift I had capsules and also a ten percent discount for placing my order on the official website of the store It was delivered very neatly the box was intact and the machine itself looks great

  • This is a single cup coffee machine, you can use the K-cups or a reusable filter basket, which is a nice option. Using it is super easy, you fill up the water reservoir, (I use filtered water) you put the coffee pod in, select the size of the drink you want and that's it. The machine heats up the water and in a few moments you have a hot drink. This is perfect for people who don't want to make a big pot of coffee. With the reusable filter basket, you can put coffee grounds into it, or loose leaf tea and use it that way also. I really like mine and I recommend it
